The Witch is very good, in a very EFFECTIVE way. I’m curious to watch Sam and Dan venture into the dark place it presents so well. I’ve never been much for Horror as a genre, but I do deeply appreciate the ones that transport to a place of dread, rather than gore and jump scares.

2025-07-28 13:41:09 +0000 UTCLet the Right One in was the first big foreign language film that I really enjoyed. I was never a huge fan of subtitled movies but I thought it was really good. It helped that the director shot it like a silent film. I think he even said that he wanted to make it a silent movie but wasn’t allowed to. A lot of show and less tell.
