Dude stop thinking like an adult watching teenagers. I saw this in the movies when it came out and teenage boys just don't think like adults. The boys I went to the movies with back in 1979 thought just like some of these guys LMAO! :)

The main bad guy who does the "Warriors come out and play!" is alos the same guy in John Wick franchise who takes the Dinner Reservations.

The original book was loosely based on a well-known incident from Greek history. An army of Greek mercenaries were soldiering for a Persian prince named Cyrus who was trying to overthrow his own brother. When Cyrus was assassinated, the mercenaries were stranded and forced to fight their way from Persia back to Greece.

Streets of Fire is definitely one I'd like to see on some reaction channels. The first and final 15 minutes are some of the best in movie history. A shame Tom Cruise already committed to doing Legend. Michael Pare was OK, but SoF would be an 80's icon if Cruise would have done it

Yeah. I agree. They'll understand why you're putting that request here when they watch JW4.

I know you might not normally do this because you watched the others off the channel, but -- for reasons you'll understand if you watch it -- I would love to see a reaction to John Wick Chapter 4 on the channel. I seem to recall you asked the viewers at some point if they'd like to see it, so in case I didn't say something then, I will now. (Hopefully some other people will see this and agree with me.)

Walter Hill has that John Carpenter quality of really being able to set up a mood and a world ( I wonder if their love of Westerns might have a hand in that). I like Deborah Van Walkenburgh as Mercy but let's say that Walter Hill isn't the best writer of female characters (the women in 48hrs were basically props). His best female characters from the movies of his that I've seen were Amy Madigan and Diane Lane in Streets of Fire.
My one big pet peeve of the film is that either Vermin and or Cochise should have been killed by the Lizzies to hammer home the danger a bit more and then have Mercy take a real role in the bathroom fight. I love these classic cult movies but the usually lone significant female character rarely gets to play in the fights and stuff. Grown men still thinking that girls have cooties.

Thomas Waites (who you also know as Windows in The Thing) played Fox, the Warrior who gets thrown in front of the subway train. He was originally meant to be one of the leading roles but he and Walter Hill couldn't get along so Hill abruptly decided to kill off his character. If you watch Fox's final moments closely, you can see that they have a double for Waites and are doing everything they can to keep his face obscured. Both Hill and Waites now regret how things went down and Waites, who took his name off the film's credits, regularly takes part in various reunions and conventions with his fellow Warriors.
About 20 years ago, Rockstar made a pretty great video game adaptation of The Warriors. In addition to covering the events of the film, the game created a lengthy backstory about how Cleon and Swan broke off from another Coney Island gang to form The Warriors and you play through the initiation missions of all the members seen in the film. I'm pretty sure the game is still available in the Playstation Store.

"Can you, did it?" is Shaq's favorite phrase from this movie, and John Wick took a lot of themes from this movie also. The DJ scenes were done in John Wick 4.

Daniel's burp in the intro had me laughing as much as Sam. lmao
Thank you for reacting this one. The ending of the Warriors walking on the beach while "In the City" plays in the background still gives me chills and SUCH relief. Haha. It's like we were along for the adventure with them, and that scene portrays how they are finally safe and back home on their turf.
I was sad that their original leader Cleon was killed, though. I really liked him.

A classic that has maybe lost a step over the years, but is still very good. I enjoyed your frustration at all of the bad decisions. Lol. I have always liked the Baseball Furies look. My favorite of the "gangs".

Daniel and Sam weren't sure in the intro which version they were watching. It's the theatrical, so probably what most people were hoping for!
