Better Call Saul Season 2 Episode 10 'Klick' Full TV Reaction!!

I think Jimmy gets a pass being a complete asshole because we expect it - gaslighting someone you know is mentally ill, for example, should receive the same amount of judgement that Chuck gets for trapping Jimmy, if not more. It is really fucking low. Chuck, on the other hand, doesn't get the same pass because Chuck moralizes and is, legally (and legal ethics), generally by the book. When Jimmy told him to get down in the dirt, asking Chuck to extort him for Kim's sake, we all kinda wanted him to do it so we would feel better about excusing Jimmy. I think these last two episodes were supposed to get us starting to get annoyed with Jimmy's antics - the way he so easily lies at the military base and at the school. They were unnecessary but show us Jimmy truly has no regard for other people unless it doesn't conflict with his ends and feelings.

The thing with Chuck is that it comes down to petty jealousy and resentment. He's the "good" son. The one who's always lived his life doing everything by the book. But he's not the favourite son and it ate away at him over the years. Jimmy has a way of charming people. He has a natural likable quality that Chuck lacks. In that flashback dinner with Rebecca Chuck was fully expecting her to be annoyed and hate Jimmy, but she ends up laughing at his jokes and having a great time. You end up realizing that it's just Chuck that's annoyed and even hateful towards Jimmy and he was projecting it onto his wife. So when their Mother calls out Jimmy's name in her dying moments and doesn't acknowledge Chuck, it hurts him, but it's resentment and jealousy that keeps him from telling Jimmy that she called his name. IMO it wasn't to protect Jimmy. I think deep down, their Mother's death was when Chuck truly came to hate Jimmy. Yet at the end of the day, they're still brothers and Chuck is just as capable of pulling a scam, even if he won't break the law to do it.

its amazing how you feel sorry for Chuck, until you realize how he trapped his brother--JERK!!!!

I've seen the show, but completely forgot how the Mike/Hector storyline resolves. So its been fun reliving the show with the Schmitts. :)

It's always fun hearing these early perspectives on the show, with no idea what the future holds, we were all here at one point.

Michael McKean who plays Chuck said something interesting. He said that Chuck was the one who made their mom proud. But Jimmy was the one who made her laugh. And he said that to the primitive part of the brain, that means she loved Jimmy more and Chuck will never forgive Jimmy for that. Can't wait for you guys to watch Season 3. You'll see. 😀

Now that both have finished season 2, and you might have an idea who left that note on Mike's card, here's a little something something. If you take the first letter of the name of each episode of season 2 and re-arrange the letters, you will get your answer to who (or confirm your suspicion ) left the note on Mike's card 😉 😎

I swear Chuck's character was based on Javert from Les Mis. Follows the rule of law to the letter, all the while being a very deeply flawed person.
