Chuck cares for his mother (though it irks him to no end that he believes his parents always loved Jimmy more) and emphasized that he is doing it for her. And the price to Jimmy is his freedom, as he has to agree to follow Chuck back to Albuquerque and work under his watchful eye in the HHM mailroom. Jimmy leaving the mailroom -- to become a lawyer, no less -- Chuck sees as a betrayal of that agreement.

It is one of many planes that is on view in a large aviation museum. I remember going there, after I had already seen this episode, and recognized Fifi immediately. I was very surprised to see the plane in person. It felt like I was meeting a celebrity :)
