(NSFW) The D!ckheads : Closer - Nine Inch Nails

I'm not sure IF THIS SHIP IS CANON, as I've repeated millions of times. Even I make myself mad and tell myself "JUST MAKE IT CANON" even though it's annoying af. 

I just, on a realistic scale of how realistic I've focused on making Clay's story, he is just a straight man. Homie is literally not gay at all. But because of the dumb little AU I made in my head, and because of their canonical backstory, I just ship Clay and Ollie. Cuz also the sweet giant paired with the depressed flaming ball of chaos is one of my favorite tropes. 

Anyway, canon or not, I do enjoy shipping them frfr 🤧💖

Clay used to be friends with Ollie when they were in grade school. When Clay's biological mom passed away, when he was like four/five is when Clay's dad started being strict and unloving, and later on his stepmom came into the picture and it got even worse. Ollie had a crush on Clay and Ollie was Clay's first friend, but once it got worse, Clay stopped being friends with Ollie. In grade school, Ollie and his sister went to live with his grandmother in Germany because his parents were financially struggling for a hot minute. But they ended up staying with her for the remainder of his elementary years. When seventh grade came around, he and his big sister moved back in with his parents in Oaksdale. He was a well-behaved boy and always tried to make his family proud. The year following, his sister passed away to cancer. The rest of the year, he was homeschooled until high school. Ollie joined the football team where he met Clay again. They were sort of talking again but Clay was different, more quiet and more sheltered. And from the gossip, Ollie knew he didn't want to associate with Clay anymore. 

BUT IN MY FANFIC UNIVERSE FR-- Ollie still has a small crush on Clay. And one day when Clay is at his lowest point, he goes to Ollie for help because out of everyone on the universe, when Ollie was there, Ollie was there for him. Not to use him, not to hurt him, not to give him anymore damage. Ollie was a genuine friend of Clay's at one point, and that is why Clay trusted Ollie enough to go to him. In this version, Clay understands that he needs to get help. In this version, he seeks it out. And though Ollie is reluctant to at first, Ollie does genuinely care about Clay being better. And further down the line of this AU, Ollie helps get Clay out of that horrid mansion of his and gets Clay's father thrown in jail. and Clay goes to therapy and apologizes to everyone he's hurt even though they don't forgive him and la dee da they get married and adopt some kids and live happily ever fucking after bc mY hEART---*dies*
