(Spoilers) The D!ckheads : SICK OF U - awfultune

This animatic was made to portray Amelia and Levi's relationship.

During the time of dating, Amelia did not really think about their relationship with love and care. Instead, Amelia mostly used the status of their relationship for her own benefit. In a real-life setting, Amelia is the type of person/friend that you can't exactly let down or say no to, because there are just some moments where she is genuinely nice, and she does do a lot of good things whether it's for her own benefit or just genuineness. BUT most of the time, it really is just so she can climb her way to the top of the social ladder, and gain attention she might not get at home. Her parents are always busy so she, just like Clay, confide in people. Her way is definitely less brutal, but she's still not doing a very good job at it.

So, when Levi breaks it down for her and gives her genuine criticism for it, she just cannot handle it and feels that he's being unfair. Levi breaks up with her. She is in disbelief when this comes to fruition. She doesn't want to accept it. She is only now realizing how much Levi tried to make their relationship work. But she was trying really hard too?? Right??? She wasn't, but in her mind she did.

On an outward perspective, Amelia is selfish and cold, and really sucks at caring for people.

On an internal perspective, Amelia is not used to having such affections if not having a specific goal towards it and her life.

These are things she learned from her parents growing up. To work hard for what you want, to be successful and have a good job. Her parents were always away and never really had time for her, even though they all love each other very much. But they were never able to really show her how to genuinely love and care for another human being. She even goes as far as to call her life perfect because nothing is ever obviously wrong with her life until Levi finally gives her a reason to think about it.

She obsesses over getting Levi back because she believes he puts some of that stability back in her life, when really, what she needs to do is get over him and really think about herself. Run a few therapy sessions and learn from her past and better her future, because no matter how well kept she is, she really doesn't have a clue as to what she's doing with her life.

And on Levi's side, Amelia was so obviously using him. He didn't want anything to do with her anymore for the way she basically neglected him during their whole relationship. Levi is very smart and mature for his age, and he knows his wants and needs. He's very similar to Clay in a way as well, except for the fact that Levi was always free to do what he wanted even if his father was strict and a bad mouth. Levi at least had friends who didn't want to just USE him. Even when Levi was small he knew what he deserved and what he didn't. That's why when Marco pushed him away all those years ago, he pushed back. The only thing he was never able to let go of even if he really wanted to. 

BUT ANYWAY. Yeah. Amelia just wasn't someone he could be with.
