Ohhh, The Conversation was so close! Hopefully a reaction for this is forthcoming.

David Martin

Extreme measures (1996)

christopher brown

Look farther down, it’s Trainspotting. But I’m pulling hard for The Conversation.

David Wilkins

Great choice.

Boris-N

Thrilled to see The Conversation leading!

Neal Romanek

Great, great movie.

Neal Romanek

The Conversation ultimately came in pretty close on this one...wish it had three or four more votes though.

Tyler Foster

I voted for BADLANDS even though I know it would never win, but TRAINSPOTTING will highjack your head. It's funny, but it's also a mind-wreck.

Philip Davetas

An Innocent man (1989) starring Tom Selleck

christopher brown

Less Than Zero (1987)

Boris-N

Paris Texas and First Man in the same poll 2 of my absolute favorites, I really hope you get a chance to watch them

Matt

Awe, I love The Count of Monte Cristo! It's such a good adaptation, and there's a new French release for it as well, came out in 2024! If I could vote for it twice, I would! "HOW IS THIS A BAD PLAN?"

Trepanation21

The Road is so underrated!

Forrest

Anything but Trainspotting

Odd Thomas

Great Films on this Poll !!! Gene Hackman and " The Conversation" is my Favorite and followed by Kramer vs Kramer

Florian Meier

Oh Paris Texas. What a perfect film. Lot of great classics on this list as well, hard to choose.

Wesley

I was just perusing the full reaction spread sheet. Is the Donnie Brasco YT edit still hung up in copyright hell? If so, that's a shame.

Paul Cox

this one was kind of hard. they are all bangers in their own right.

Slayback

Seeing that The Conversation has a fighting chance, as much as I love Trainspotting, I'm gonna have to take my vote away so that Conversation gets one vote closer. Although maybe they'll both end up far enough in front of the rest of the poll as to both get watched.

Tyler Foster

Tyler Foster

Is Nasstasja Kinski in it?

David W.

I wonder what % of voters here have seen Paris Texas. Guessing not a high %.

Birdie Num Num

For all you Count of Monte Cristo fans, there is a new 3 hour french adaptation currently in theaters that is even better than the 2002 version. at 98% on RT.

Birdie Num Num

"AMADEUS" is a great movie, even if you're not a classical music fan. Love this movie!

Lou@Jersey

Ha, I just did a Michael Caine pair over on the 70's poll.

Zinphad

I voted for Count of Monte Cristo because that’s gonna be a fun movie for them. I also voted for The Road because that should be a fun reaction for us haha!

Julian San

The Count of Monte Cristo

Athos Count de la Fère

Sam in particular will LOVE The Conversation. Sharp mystery and a bravura performance by Gene Hackman, directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Released the same year as GODFATHER II.

ron clint

The Counte of Monte Cristo is the movie to watch!!

James

I see you have The Conversation. Good choice!!

John Fitzpatrick

I would also suggest Shanley's Joe Versus the Volcano to go with it.

Tyler Foster

That is a fantastic drama.

Armchair Rizzard

Recommend Society of the Snow (2023)

JenM

One Life (2023)

christopher brown

The Eagle has Landed (1974) and Harry Brown (2009) (they will be a good introduction to Michael Caine)

christopher brown

Ya'll should watch (The Impossible) on Amazon. It's a true story that you can actually research.

Tray-T

Moonstruck is sooooo good. Comedy and sweet. It’s like an old fashioned great movie made for modern times. TBR & Sam will LOVE it!

Harvey

If Trainspotting does pull it off, though, don't sleep on the 20-years-later sequel T2 Trainspotting (2017). One of the best examples of the legacy sequel trend.

Tyler Foster

Please, Moonstruck!

Tyler Foster

Oh, Trainspotting, how I love thee...you can use our Patreon subscription $ to get therapy afterwards!

Steve Mercier

Some classics I’d like to recommend: MOONSTRUCK (Cher & Nicolas Cage), KING OF COMEDY (DeNiro & Jerry Lewis), THE INSIDER (Russell Crowe), THAT THING YOU DO (Tom Hanks acting & directing)

Harvey

Cmon trainspotting, a good representation of my fellow countrymen 🤣🤣

ElmSt Reactions

Well I appreciate y'all putting The Iron Claw on the poll I know it's super early but doesn't look like it's gonna win, hopefully one day! 🙏

dieselbeast

Let's have a movie marathon and do them all 🙂

Indy Traveler

The Conversation!

Ed R

It's going to be just a little late but everyone should vote for The Conversation in honor of its 50th anniversary this year.

Tyler Foster

Pulling hard for The Conversation.

David Wilkins

can we please just watch Trainspotting already lol

Nick Sneddon

I'm voting iron claw because I believe they said they both want to see it during a live recently.

Chadwick Von

Once Upon a Time in America (1984) Diector's cut Sergio Leone's last film starring Robert De Niro and James Woods

Joe Lazarus

The Graduate is VERY UNDERRATED 💯👍

Phillyman!!

"The Count of Monte Cristo". Can't go wrong with an Alexandre Dumas' adaptation.

Miles E Coburn

So many good ones! Scrap the other polls and watch whatever the top 3 is from this one 😁

Paul Cox

C'mon Count of Monte Cristo!

Ellie Miller
