There wasn't even a reason for them do have to do the pie thing. Price wasn't the suspect of a crime, if he was they wouldn't have let him leave the room. The only crime was the missing cards, which he found. Having a hiding place in your house isn't a crime, or even really that suspicous. Any lawyer, good or bad, would have ended it there. Cops had nothing on him, and had no reason to think there was anything going on.

2024-12-20 21:51:55 +0000 UTCJimmy is not always on the up-and-up, but the guy we see here is in a constant struggle with the angels and the devils on his shoulder. Making the video is a clear breach of ethics, and I'm not trying to downplay that. Not only was this an unethical act but it wasn't necessary -- the cops had no right or recourse to badger Pryce in the absence of said videos. But in his conversation with the detectives he was merely representing his client as any good lawyer should (It is not illegal to lie to the police, nor is it illegal for the police to lie to you). Lawyers are paid advocates whose business is to put their client in the best position vis-a-vis the opposition. And of course Jimmy decides to take on this case only moments after Chuck confronts him and tells him that no matter what he does, Chuck will always be right there watching him, waiting for him to screw up. In the previous episode, messing with the light switch doesn't necessarily present Jimmy as a dangerous rule-breaking as much as it presents him as a person who is constantly testing his limits or pushing boundaries. This is not in and of itself a bad trait in a person. Cut him some slack, Jack ;)

2024-12-20 08:20:52 +0000 UTCThe issues you see with Jimmy at Davis and Main are the same issues Chuck saw with hiring Jimmy at HHM. Chuck is so arrogant and protective with his image/legacy he couldn't risk Jimmy working at HIS firm. I can see his point. It was a risk he didn't want to take and I don't necessarily blame him. He sure could have went about it in a much better way. Also, I don't know how you shoot or save the episode recaps but after the whole series I for one would love for you guys to react to your discussions to see just how close or how far away your ideas are. Be careful what you wish for!
