2024-11-16 22:41:12 +0000 UTCI keep bringing it up, but I think you'd love the early Steve Martin comedies: The Jerk, The Three Amigos, The Man With Two Brains, Roxanne, LA Story

2024-11-07 12:22:27 +0000 UTCTurner & Hooch (1989) is a Comedy Crime Suspense Drama starring Tom Hanks and Mare Winningham... a detective must adopt a rambunctious dog in order to solve a murder case. This movie is HILARIOUS with a lot of heart! It's the perfect for an at-home movie date night! It's got a little something for everyone! ♥

2024-10-29 09:52:35 +0000 UTCToo many quality selections so I’ll just go with release date order - blues brothers.

2024-10-29 08:13:20 +0000 UTCAs a kid when I was left at home by myself (this was the 90s people, it wasn't frowned upon as much), I would put the Blues Brothers on and play it back over and over all day. Then as I moved into my early teens I had a grandfather who was an Elvis Impersonator, and between his sets when he was changing outfits, I performed several Blues Brothers skits for his show to entertain people (I had a pillow stuffed in my belt to make me look fat, lol), practicing and remembering all the steps and moves to that dances. This movie might be a nightmare for YouTube, but it is worth a watch!

2024-10-29 02:01:04 +0000 UTCI know this film is not technically "comedy", but since you guys are now parents, I highly, highly, highly recommend The Wild Robot 💕

2024-10-28 21:04:04 +0000 UTCA forgotten comedy of the 80s that I would love to see on the channel is 1986's 'Ruthless People'. Danny DeVito, Bette Midler and Judge Reinhold star. It was a huge hit (the 8th biggest film of the year and at that time, Disney's biggest comedy ever). It was written by the same guy who wrote My Cousin Vinny and directed by the guys who made Airplane!. How can that not entice you!?!?

2024-10-28 20:54:53 +0000 UTCI voted for Police Academy but it's not my favorite or anything. I'm going to recommend Johnny Dangerously.

2024-10-28 18:51:53 +0000 UTCBlues Brothers wouldn't be a good watch on YouTube because of all the copywritten music
Red Tail Zephier
2024-10-28 18:06:12 +0000 UTCYouTube has different rules for different reactors some get away with stuff others don't , what I do know is Jen had issues getting it up at first then months later it got hit with copyright and was taken down after appeals I believe it eventually got out back up

2024-10-28 16:52:35 +0000 UTCHonestly, the church scene is one of the scenes I think goes on too long in the Extended. The extended was never a completed edit -- they were testing a full-on 3 hour roadshow version with intermission at first, and when they went looking for deleted material in the VHS/LD/early DVD era, this is what they could find -- and I think while there is some additional material in the church scene that is good, they would've cut it down a little if they'd left the film in a longer form, so the ideal edit of that scene is somewhere between the theatrical and extended. But that's just my personal POV.

2024-10-28 16:48:43 +0000 UTCI actually haven't heard of any reactors mention they struggled with copyright on Blues Brothers. It is a musical, of course, but all the reactors have to do is mostly silence it.
Tyler Foster
2024-10-28 16:46:48 +0000 UTCThere is quite a bit of music, but I’ve seen other reactors come up with a good edit that contains at least a good “feel” for the music elements.

2024-10-28 15:34:53 +0000 UTCThe Blues Brothers might be the craziest move ever made! And I mean that in a good way.

2024-10-28 14:16:53 +0000 UTCOne of my favs, and right up TBR Schmitt & Sam's alley for sure! Also has Chris Rock, Nicollette Sheridan (whom Sam will know from Desperate Housewives), and Robin Shou.

2024-10-28 06:02:45 +0000 UTCI usually hate musicals, but the soundtrack to the Blues Brothers is incredible. It's my go to film when I'm feeling down 👍🏻

2024-10-28 06:02:27 +0000 UTCBlues Brothers is Great, But i recommend strongly "Overboard" from 1987 with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell and "Working Girl" from 1988 with Harrison Ford and Melanie Griffith for the Next Comedy Poll
Florian Meier
2024-10-28 05:45:00 +0000 UTCI prefer The Blues Brothers over Caddyshack. However, Caddyshack is funnier, so I went with that since this is a comedy poll.
