He couldn’t get work for ages because of that role. My wife was disturbed by his performance in Dirty Harry when she was younger. Eventually he got better parts, starting with horror. I love him in Dannie Darko. He’s an actor! He’s doing his job. Weird how adults confuse performances as real life tendencies.
