First cool marvel movie 🎬 I remember when it came out at the cinema 🎥 was not sure what it was until a guy at work told me to get it on VHS. I was not disappointed!

So garlic was an immune booster and silver actually kills bacteria, hence the colloidal silver anti bacterial supplements. Perhaps a wooden stake through the heart disrupts the energy flow as wood is not an electrical conductor. Silver stakes work because although silver is an amazing conductor the anaphylactic reaction does the damage. All speculation, but interesting.

2024-10-03 06:43:57 +0000 UTCRIP Kris K!!! Not sure if anyone knows but the woman vampire in the car in the begining is Tracy Lords. Most famous for being a (underage) porn actress. She also wrote and composed one of the songs that was used in the movie. The whole album is pretty good IMO. As far as those men wearing sunglasses in that club, that Japanese Mafia (Yakuza) stereotype. The guard in the front Blade punched through a plate glass window, started speaking to him in Japanese. The women on the stage were in schoolgirl costumes, rapping also in Japanese. For what it was, it wasn't bad as well. That "Ice skating uphill" line killed when i saw this in the theater.

2024-10-01 21:51:46 +0000 UTCWait what? You guys haven't watched this? Dude, without this movie there would be no MCU at all. Marvel was on the verge of filing for bankruptcy when they decided to cash in all their chips and lay it all down on this movie. And this movie alone saved the Marvel brand which allowed them to make SPIDER-MAN and eventually create the MCU. There's a book called "Marvel Comics: The Untold Story" that goes into depth on this. Also, there was a crand plan that when Deadpool entered the MCU, they were going to build the whole supernatural wing of the MCU which involved Blade, Werewolf by Night, Agatha and Wanda/Vision, but that plan went to shit because of production delays. And it seems that the only reason people are reacting to BLADE lately is for one reason alone. DP///W.

Blade 2 is also a must watch, really good Sequel ... I recommend for more Wesley Snipes "Passanger 57", "White Men Can't Jump" both from 1992 and "US Marshals" from 1998 (Sequel from The Fugitive)

2024-10-01 20:09:35 +0000 UTCIn case the future of Spooky Season includes more vampire movies - you need to remember that no two vampire movies follow exactly the same rules (unless they are in the same franchise (maybe)). You can't make assumptions about what is or isn't required to be a vampire until a given movie tells you. There are similarities and some often used common tropes, but none of them are 100%, not even things like holy ground and crosses. Also, R.I.P Kris Kristofferson.
