Just with the understanding that the YouTube edits will be subject to possible significant delays? Or at least it’s my understanding that full watch alongs are not subject to the same problems.

Hopefully you guys will continue to post first here while you go through the nightmare of youtube. Sorry you guys have to go through this I don't understand why the platform and these copyright things are so difficult one reactor I follow is a couple of older guys they had so many views on their emotional reaction to Forrest Gump that YouTube said it had to have been fraudulent so they striked them for 30 days. Unbelievable.

Like, yeah, every reaction channel gets them, and some channels might deserve it, cause they barely talk about the movies during their "reactions". But you two literally will have a 10 min lead in, have 20 min of watch clips and then discuss for 30+ min. You're the most fair use-y react channel I've seen! Definitely fight! And if you can afford a copywrite lawyer to help, I say go for it.

You guys are the Cadillac of reaction channels, the deluxe production! So let it be special! Charlie Chaplin, he'd only release a movie every few years. Kubrick would take years and years between movies! So be it for a new TBR video. PS Does this affect your full-length reactions? If you are on one of the top tiers (which I'm not!), does it affect how often you will be filming new reactions? This could be good because you can get that back catalog of reactions you've always wanted! I'm hoping this frees up some time for you, perhaps it's a blessing in disguise.

Anyway it's fine that you won't be posting schedules, it's kind of nice to see a schedule and that little bit of anticipation, but to tell the truth I also like being surprised. I know it may not be popular with the YouTube audience, but would you guys be willing to make some movies Patreon exclusives? Like if you guys go back through your catalog, see which studios strike your channel the most, and forgo YouTube edits (just releasing full length) for that studio's movies? I know CineBinge had a LOT of pain in the ass for their A24 and Studio Ghibli videos. They don't do YouTube reactions for those studios now. And Brandon Likes Movies had trouble specifically from Warner Bros copyright detection for some reason.

YT is going to hit you with a copyright infringement, they need to be pointing out exactly what the issue is and have transparency with the reaction community at large and everyone else that post videos on YouTube. I’ve been going back and watching some your old reactions, haven’t gotten through them all lol We all completely understand. Thanks again for the update and your commitment to bringing your community together and sharing these reactions!! You guys have the best reaction channel!!

I'll be watching my channels as I usually do and if content other than TV that I may or may not be interested in gets posted, awesome! If not, NBD. I'm not going anywhere and neither is my contribution 😉 The worst part about this is knowing how much work there must be on your end in editing and reediting and reediting and submissions and appeals 😮💨

2024-09-18 03:26:28 +0000 UTCIf you'd posted this announcement earlier in the day, I'd have suggested making the excerpts shorter than the traditional 10 seconds at a time (at least I've heard that's what the limit is), but I watched a reaction from someone else this evening where they were stringing together 3-5 second clips and it was absolutely jarring, so I'd actually NOT recommend trying that now. My only other suggestion would be some older or lower-profile films. I'd find that to be thoroughly delightful, but you may get a few too many uploads with sub-5K views to even make it worth the effort. Whatever unfolds, we love you guys and can't thank you enough for your dedication to doing this for a bunch of weirdos online lol.

Policy of curtailing freedom of speech to "protect" peoples' delicate sensibilities taken to new levels.
