Oh, also, one other movie that I think feels very Ritchie is called Lucky Number Slevin, which I'm sure is a recommendation you've received many times. With Josh Hartnett in the headlines again thanks to his starring turn in Trap, now might be a good time to check it out.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I prefer Guy Ritchie leaps and bounds over QT. They were compared to a lot back in the day because they were only doing crime films. At the same time I don't love all of Guy's movies. The SHERLOCK movies are fun. But I've only seen them once.

Lock, Stock is way funnier, IMHO.

"It's me Bren gun!"
Don't know if you noticed, Alan Ford, who played Brick Top in Snatch, was the narrator (and also JD's (Sting's) partner).
Other recommendations for British crime/gangster pics: Sexy Beast, The Long Good Friday, The Krays

Surprised nobody else in these comments have mentioned Guy Ritchie's tragically underrated movie The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (2015). An adaptation of an old TV show, this is one of Ritchie's slickest movies and ought to have inspired some sequels. A ton of fun. I also enjoy RockNRolla. There are some recent ones I need to catch up with as well; I've heard generally positive things about Operation Fortune and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. On the other hand, you can definitely skip the bland misfire King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.
His producing partner Matthew Vaughn also directed a very Ritchie-esque movie before moving onto bigger things like the X-Men movies and the Kingsman franchise, a pre-Bond Daniel Craig drug thriller called Layer Cake.

He was also Sgt Martin in "Band of Brothers".

If you like Dexter Fletcher, you might check out the British show "Hotel Babylon". It's a pretty good comedy and Fletcher plays one of the main characters.

I'd probably call it an Easter Egg! It's the little melody that plays whenever El Indio opens the pocket watch right before he's about to kill someone (and when Eastwood opens Lee Van Cleef's character's identical pocket watch in the last showdown).
Guy Ritchie was trying to use it as a callback to the original movie during the standoff between Tom and Chris in the recently deceased Hatchet Harry's office, though I don't think that scene is anywhere near as intense as the original movies' El Indo scenes!

Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes with RDJ is his best film imo

When we first meet him in Snatch, first thing we see Vinnie Jones' character there is doing is smashing a guy's head with a car door. Bit of continuity there.

Mohicans, Lock Stock and capped off by Snatch... okay. I realize that didn't sound good. But those are the 3 movie reactions of yours I'm watching today. What can I say?

Very good. Classic crime/heist flick. Enjoyed the reaction. Maybe consider watching "The Gentlemen" (movie, not series) on Netflix.

I'd say Guy Richie is pretty up and down lately.. The Sherlock movies are enjoyable... and in the gangster genre "The Gentlemen" is pretty good

So the guy who played "Barry the Baptist" was Lenny McLean, who was a real-life London villain and a champion bare-knuckle boxer. His autobiography, "The Guv'nor," is a fantastic read. Unfortunately Lenny passed back in 1998, the same year this movie came out.
EDIT: I LOVE that TBR clocked Gloria right away!
EDIT, EDIT: Also, when those two guys bust in on Hatchet Harry, that little melody that plays while they're figuring out what to do is from the standoff scenes in "For a Few Dollars More". Can't remember if you've reacted to that yet.

I agree! Seems like everyone likes Snatch, often because of Brad Pitt's character, but Lock, Stock is my favorite of the two.

A lot of people prefer Snatch. For me, Lock Stock stands alone.
