I think that it is almost essential that they show Miyagi having some flaws. That has been the theme of the entire show! I trust the writers to reveal those flaws without tarnishing the Miyagi legacy. Chances are that the incident in 1947 will be more of a mistake that led to Miyagi's character growth rather than a flat out act of violence. I'm sure there will be extenuating circumstances. I also feel pretty confident that there will be a spinoff series based on a young Miyagi and in order for that series to have plot points, drama and intrigue, there's going to need to be conflict within the Miyagi character so to reveal some of it in the final season of Cobra Kai would make for a good transition into the spinoff.

Peyton's (Tory) acting and arc so far has been one of the highlights of part 1 for me
