Adventure Film Poll!

Help pick the Adventure movie we will react to!

Please feel free to suggest other options in the comments for future polls!

NOTE: Sam has seen The NeverEnding Story, so this would only be my first time watching!

We received a ton suggestions on the last polls, but we are trying to keep the poll sizes more reasonable. We have noted all suggestions for future polls!

(also please add perks of being a wallflower to a future poll... coming of age drama based off a popular young adult novel)

Brandon Meng

Okay so I literally just subscribed to you on Patreon 5 minutes ago but I've been begging for anyone and everyone to react to The Edge for YEARS and it hasn't been done yet... I promise you, it will not disappoint!

Brandon Meng

Yay! The Last of the Mohicans. My favorite Michael Mann film. The soundtrack is excellent too!

Robert Boyd

The Ghost and the Darkness, The Last of the Mohicans, The NeverEnding Story, Time Bandits , and Willow?! You can't ask people to choose between these films! You HAVE to watch all of these! :D

sisKobell

The 13th Warrior!!!!! its great!

Hector M.

@mike I'll restate: Time Bandits NEVER gets reacted to by GREAT reactors! :) haha. I just searched and there's quite a few. But I don't follow many reactors. Maybe 3? Love that movie!

Philip Alan

"Time Bandits never gets reacted to!!" And it's a damn shame too

Smooticus

Showing this movie to my mom was an awkward experience. She was a William Petersen fan.

John Fitzpatrick

I love that film, a forgotten gem!!!!

Chris Bruneau

The problem with mo cap anim is that people don't realise how much key frame anim is actually in them. Snowy, birds and even humans were handkeyed in parts. Sometimes the mocap doesn't work for a shot.

Aaron Barlow

Time Bandits is a great example of what a director with an imagination can do on a shoestring budget.

Smooticus

An under appreciated movie. One of the best motion capture animated movies of all time. I discovered the Tin Tin books back in high school in the 80's. I found d them in the foreign language section of the library while looking for something for a French project. Been in love with them since

Smooticus

One of my favorite movies of all time

Smooticus

Also, voting for the Ghost and the Darkness because I haven't seen it in about 15 years or so, and I remember as a little kid that movie scared the crap out of me. lol Really good though!

Forrest

The Secret of Nimh (1982), The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014), Kingdom of Heaven (2005), Ernest & Celestine (2012), The Adventures of Milo and Otis (1986) (BTW I grew up with this as a little kid, and it's a great film for your kid as well!)

Forrest

2 Classic Adventure movies with Sean Connery "The Wind and the Lion" and "The Man Who Would Be King" from 1975 loads of practical effects action scenes before the days of CGI !!

Keith Brown

Captain Ron is a comedy, but I suppose you might stretch and call it adventure 🙂

ron clint

Time Bandits is such an underrated gem. It is perfectly odd and charming at the same time.

Vwlss Nvwls

I'd just like to add Secondhand Lions to a future poll. It would fit Adventure, or drama, or comedy, or coming of age. Robert Duvall, Michael Caine, Haley Joel Osment, Kyra Sedgewick. It's such a gem and I just don't see people reacting to it.

Eric J Watkins

The Adventures of Robin Hood 1938, The Man Who Would Be King

Birdie Num Num

Don't forget about To Live and Die in L. A.

John Fitzpatrick

RRR

I was OBSESSED with Last of the Mohicans when it came out. Based on the 1936 screenplay, it’s one of the extremely rare examples of a movie that is BETTER than the famous book it was based on. James Fenimore Cooper could come up with great story ideas, but seemed to struggle to elegantly tell them, something Mark Twain rather mercilessly chided him for back then. Anyway, the 1936 film fixed the narrative issues, and the 1992 film is one of the most beautifully shot movies of the 1990s, and of course Daniel Day Lewis did his typical deep dive and basically BECAME a pioneer/minimalist-outdoorsman in preparation. Oh please win….

Warren H

Last of the Mohicans --one of the great films by Michael Mann!!!! oh yeah!

Chris Bruneau

WILLOW is a gem film. 👍

Rikbattaglia

Willooooooow. Willow

FischerMax98

Hoping that Mohicans can hang on to its lead until the very end, but I also voted for Captain Ron in honor of that one commenter on YouTube who requests it every single week for like 100+ weeks in a row lol.

Paul Cox

And once is NOT never, which is my point That's just off the top of my head BTW without actually looking for others

mikethemotormouth

Not 100% sure if this is classed as an Adventure movie but Battle: Los Angeles (2011)

christopher brown

I would also add Krull to this list.

Nick of Time

The Edge!!!!!!!!!

James

Dawn Marie is so random, which makes her great. She has movies on her channel that won't get the time of day on any other channel. Westerns, old and new (not the same ones everyone else reacts to), Marx Brothers movies, not-so-well-known 80s comedies, etc. She's way ahead of the trends.

Mr. Writhms

THE EDGE is the god damn bomb. "What one man can do another can do!"

Philip Davetas

Just want to let you know not to sleep on "TIME BANDITS". A lot of newer fans of Monty Python don't realize that is a Monty Python movie, written and directed by two of the Python players, filled with their style of comedy. Not to mention, some of them have cameo parts in the movie.

Mr. Writhms

The Edge, The Ghost and The Darkness and The Last of the Mohicans are my Favorites

Florian Meier

TRIVIA-The Ghost and the Darkness is a remake of a 3D 50's movie "Bwana Devil" !

Keith Brown

I voted for The Neverending Story. It's one of my favorite 80s films, and it's a massive classic. Word of warning, though. If you do react The Neverending Story, please, I beg of you, make sure you get the theatrical version. The Director's Cut has bad voice dubbing, and the music from the theatrical cut, which is gorgeous, isn't in the Director's Cut, which really takes away from the movie.

Raven Dark

Please let it be The 13th Warrior 🙏

Brandon Royce

“Flight Of The Navigator” (1986)

Jeff Mills

I don't know who that is. But that's only ONE.

Philip Alan

You two will love Last of the Mohicans! Willow is also a must see.

bosho11

The Adventures of Tintin was actually a fun movie. I had all the books growing up, so was stoked to get the opportunity to be an animator on the film.

Aaron Barlow

Last of the Mohican s will ofc win but I voted for 20k luts captain Nemo ftw 🤞

Ian

13th warrior in my top 5 films ❤️

Deano

I've noticed you put several great fantasy adventure movies in the poll. I'd recommend reacting to both The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth too. The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth are Jim Henson's forays into fantasy movies while he was doing The Muppets. The really awesome thing about both movies is that there are no human characters in Dark Crystal and very few human characters in Labyrinth. The majority of characters and creatures are fantasy creatures created through special effects puppetry. They're such cool movies and are some of the best effects movies of the 80's.

Jeb Manning

Dawn Marie did it last year

mikethemotormouth

Time Bandits NEVER gets reacted to!!
