Sequels Film Poll!

Help pick the Sequel we will react to!

Please feel free to suggest other options in the comments for future polls!

NOTE: I have seen Godzilla: King of the Monsters & 300: Rise of an Empire, so this would only be Sam's first time watching!

Comments

Psycho II is a good sequel

Birdie Num Num

I know it's a Prequel, so this might not be the right poll but The Thing (2011)

christopher brown

Saw, Saw 2 and Saw X are the best IMO the rest are good

christopher brown

I see French Connection won the hotly contested crime film poll. Hope you consider reacting to French Connection 2 as well.

Birdie Num Num

Jaws 2 was the highest grossing sequel of all time at the time of release. I realize the idea of a sequel to Jaws is absurd, but its not a bad film. and part 3 and 4 are in the so bad its good sort of vein, so they would be fun reactions as well(both are more entertaining than next Karate Kid)

Birdie Num Num

What about Dune 2?

Eddy

Still waiting for that Dune 2 watch on the channel. Unless you already went and saw it in theaters then nvm!

Forrest

Dang it! You're right. Now I want to see a mash-up of movies: "Predundee", where the Predator is actually an 8ft tall bipedal crocodile with dreadlocks. Mick: "That's not a wristblade" Holds up his arm with a giant scimitar attached. "This is a wristblade". jk

Guston Zimasheen

Alien: Covenant (2017)

David Wilkins

Predators is worth the watch. But I do have a soft spot for Dundee 2, probably better than the original.

Christian Rennie

I came here to say this, yes!

Domino

At first I couldn’t believe predator was getting that many votes, but then I realized I was confusing it with the 2018 predator

JoshG

Conan the Destroyer being rushed shows, but for me, it's a good switch brain of and enjoy. T3 is a good action movie. It's not Canon IMO (only T1, T2 ant Terminator Resistance are).

christopher brown

Definitely hoping we can get Scream 4, at least. Love Scream 4.

Tyler Foster

Personally my favorite is VI, followed by IV. IV seems to be unpopular, and I don't get it. Both the A plot and B plot are great and it has a really clever twist (if I had a guess, it's that maybe the final twist was a little *too* clever and most viewers just didn't get it).

Tyler Foster

Can't say this about 3 (which I agree with Daniel is the best of the original trilogy), but it absolutely steamrolls Jason Bourne (4), which stinks. Would have much rather seen a Legacy sequel than a return to Bourne.

Tyler Foster

I personally hate Conan the Destroyer (no offense to those who like it though), but I would enthusiastically back Terminator 3. Whether or not it's a worthwhile entry in the series is in the eye of the beholder, but I think it is undeniably *interesting* and will generate a fun discussion about whether or not it's good. (The subsequent sequels, not so much.)

Tyler Foster

Good news is that since TBR generally watch using streaming or digital retailers unless they can't find the movie (and Mallrats is definitely available on those retailers) there is no risk of them watching the extended cut as it is only officially available on disc.

Tyler Foster

I know Creed III won't probably win, but I've been waiting for that one. lol

EdmanXERO

I actually think Predators 2010 is one of the most under appreciated Predator films. My top 3 are definitely 1. Predator, 2. Prey, & 3. Predators. Predator 2 was the “Jaws 2” of Predator films (a compliment) and The Predator was just a “let’s have fun/this will look cool” film for me.

Tristan Durant

I know it’s impossible with personal lives and Baby Schmitt but as long as we’ve had to wait for Scream 3, 4, (Scream)5, & 6 there should be a watch all at once part 1, 2, 3 reaction event. 😏

Tristan Durant

Bourne Legacy is my favorite Bourne movie, by far, and I'm not ashamed to say it. I hope you watch it!

Jen Barnes

💯

Duncan

Jaws 2 is actually a decent movie. Some of the scenes are intense and it is worth watching.

Rikbattaglia

Can never go wrong with the original. In fact I consistently rewatch the first 3 often. I don't remember much of the rest as I only saw them once. But I did remember liking them always retaining the "Saw ending plot twists" and the call backs and return of characters.

Reuben Filimaua

Which one is your favorite? Tossup between 3 and 4 for me

mikethemotormouth

Damn it, come on Saw 2! Its a solid sequel to the first one. Every one of them building on the last

Reuben Filimaua

The Bourne Legacy is very underrated. People complain about the fact that Matt Damon isn't in it. I'm like, "You knew that going in. You knew that Jeremy Renner is the lead instead, and yet you're acting like you've been cheated." Renner and Rachel Weisz are a great pairing, I like this movie better than Bourne 3 and 4.

Scott Greene

Franchise goes downhill quick, no matter which one. If I had to pick, Freddy always had the best sequels purely because of creativity, for me anyway.

PIG

Conan the Destroyer (1984) and Terminator 3 (2003) not the best Arnold movies but still enjoyable IMO

christopher brown

I feel like the Jay and Silent Bob characters especially make more sense in the context of the whole series. Sure, the story itself follows just Clerks but unlike the MCU these are all written and directed by Smith. To really follow the evolution of the series and Smith as a filmmaker I feel one has to watch the whole thing. Which is a really weird hill to die on because I personally do no care that much for Mallrats. But I think Chasing Amy and Dogma are Smith's finest works.

ED209

If you watch ALIEN 3, it should be the Assembly Cut. The theatrical cut isn't all that good.

Philip Davetas

Clerks 2 is actually the SIXTH film in Kevin Smith's View Askewniverse series. Mallrats (the 90 something minute theatrical cut and I can't stress this enough) should be watched next. It goes Clerks (1994), Mallrats (1995), Chasing Amy (1997), Dogma (1999), Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001), Clerks II (2006), Jay and Silent Bob Reboot (2019) and finally Clerks III (2022).

ED209

Predators is an underrated Predator film. Worse than the best ones, but better than the bad ones! Lol. Aliens 3 deserves the Fincher Special Edition. Crocodile Dundee 2 is a must.

Trepanation21

Clerks II is one of my favorite Kevin Smith movies, you'll love it

bosho11

Seconding US Marshals

mikethemotormouth

If you watch Alien³, *please* watch the Workprint version, which was the last cut that Fincher turned in before he quit the film and it was completed without him. It can be found on various digital retailers as the "Special Edition."

Tyler Foster

Halloween 3 is one of them must watch. Can't wait to see if it wins in the end

Joe

You forgot The Jewel of the Nile (Sequel to Romancing the Stone) and US Marshalls (Sequel to The Fugitive)

Florian Meier

Crocodile Dundee 2 is great. Considering how mch you guys loved the first one, it'd be a shame not to watch the second. Avoid the third.

Aaron Barlow

My personal picks would be Child's Play 2, Clerks 2, American Pie 2. Also, not on the list, but Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Not a sequel, but sort of connected to Clerks haha

Javier B

I thought you guys had already seen creed 3 which is why I never recommended it. I really hope we can do scream 3 sometime, just so we can get to the ones after
