Kevin tyler cheney

Yes, this one has been recommended a ton! I guess a bunch of other reactors all got his with copyright this week on it! Womp Womp! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

It has been awhile and we're honestly scarred from the comment section of the last few times we've done Western polls! Idk what it is about those polls, but they get NASTY! We definitely want to get some more Westerns on the channel though, it's been SO long! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

I hope you enjoyed it! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

We heard the recommendations from you all! That was a huge one and yes, we're also slowly making our way through more Coen Bros! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

In terms of jurisdiction, pricincting and socioeconomics, they're definitely different. At that point in the scripting stage, it wasn't a comedy but a straight action/drama tho. So I doubt there would've been jokes about the difference of being a cop in one of the rougher areas of LA as opposed to highly rich Beverly Hills.

Donna Castellano

on an unrelated note - Godzilla Minus One was just added to Netflix. I've seen a number of other reactors react to it, in case you are interested.

Birdie Num Num

they've had 2 noir polls - Hitchcock films won handily both times, even though they aren't really noir.

Birdie Num Num

I'd take a film noir poll too, speaking of which. Double Indemnity, In a Lonely Place, Laura, Pickup on South Street...

Tyler Foster

My favorite one! ❤️

Michael Soukup

I'd be down for that. The western in a way is like film noir(most scholars consider 1941 to 1959 the original noir cycle, with neo noirs emerging after that. I've seen 1939(the year stagecoach sort of made the genre more respectable) to 1962 being called the "classic" western period. Of course a poll with only pre 1964 titles would probably have a low vote turnout:)

Birdie Num Num

I'd even argue we should try pre-1964. Fistful of Dollars is basically patient zero for modern westerns. Even though it wasn't a Hollywood film, it kind of changed the direction of all westerns made after it.

Paul Cox

it's been a while since you've had a western poll. any chance you could have one with only pre 1980s westerns in the poll? classic westerns don't seem to fare well when pitted against more recent titles.

Birdie Num Num

Burn After Reading, here we come!

PIG

please predict they'll react to Million Dollar Baby (2005)

YoureMrLebowski

Couldn't hurt. ;)

Tyler Foster

I predicted that ya would do a reaction on Beverly Hills cop. I'm excited to see ya reaction on that movies it's one of Eddie Murphy best action comedy movie

Ed Tv TikTok lip sync

I love that you brought up A Serious Man. It's my favorite of the brothers' movies, and I LOVE just about all of them.

VivendoBem

Coming soon to a movie theater near you or at Cheney cinemas it’s god mummy the first full length animated feature compared with Brandon fraiser and Tom cruise the mummy

Kevin tyler cheney

I think you’re going to love it.

David Wilkins

I am really really happy about this selection of reactions, you're going to love them.

VonPunk

There are 3 movies i desperately want to see The Schmitts react to. Million Dollar Baby, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, and Miller's Crossing. So this is glorious news.

YoureMrLebowski

I've somehow managed to watch the entire Cohen Brother's directorial filmography EXCEPT for Miller's Crossing. I guess it's time I watched it!

Samolina Pilchard

iirc they're working their way through Coen Bros films regardless of polls. Blood Simple was first, and if they're working chronologically, Miller's Crossing is up next out of what they haven't previously seen.

Paul Cox

I'm already amazed that Blood Simple got a reaction. Would have worried the only way to make that happen would be a request tier, which I did for a different reactor. Only mild shame is that they've both seen the True Grit remake, which is one of my favorites, so that will never happen.

Tyler Foster

YES!! I had no idea Miller’s Crossing was in the works, and assumed it would have to be a monthly drawing winner. How did this come about?

David Wilkins

Yes, some of their “lesser known” titles are righteous stuff. That’s one reason I’ve been so pumped about the monthly drawing. The Coens have absolute gold that will never win a poll.

David Wilkins

Don't think I've seen miller's crossing

ElmSt Reactions

What's the rumpus...?

Louis Ferdinand Celine

Miller's Crosding! YES!!

Smooticus

Hell Yeah!!! Can't Wait for you're Beverly Hills Cop Reaction !!! This Film was such a Big Hit Back Then!!! I think i watched it 30 Times :) Also the Soundtrack is one of Greatest of All Time !!! The Theme of Harold Faltermeyer Axel F is still played on the Radios in Germany ;) Please watch the whole Franchise... 4 Great Films

Florian Meier

MILLER'S CROSSING HELL YEAH Just need to get to Hudsucker Proxy next and my most-wanted Coens will be done, but even then there are still masterpieces to go, like The Man Who Wasn't There, Burn After Reading, and A Serious Man to go.

Tyler Foster

But Beverly Hills is Los Angeles. I mean, I grew up in Los Angeles county. Because the Beverly Hills Cop is really Taggert, Rosewood and Bogomill.

Philip Davetas

The original draft of the film had the lead cop character transferring from LA to Beverly Hills. I don't think he was called Axel Foley in that version tho.

Donna Castellano

Wow! Now that is a helluva week!

VivendoBem

Two great movies!

PIG

48 Hours would be a great follow-up to Beverly Hills Cop.

TGrimace

Just searched on youtube because I couldn't remember. It is delightful.

Tostito Buddy

Beverly Hills Cop. Get ready for one of the greatest movie theme songs EVER.

EdmanXERO

Neither of you have seen Beverly Hills Cop??!! In the words of the great Pepper Brooks "I feel shocked!"

Jen Barnes

Wow, 3 for 3. Gonna be a good week.

Opie Wan

Miller's Crossing is an underrated masterpiece. Albert Finney and Jon Polito give career best performances.

Bennett Holleman

Yes! Finally a reaction to "Miller's Crossing"! I've been waiting for any reaction to this movie... And Sam and Dan delivers!

Mr. Writhms

We had not! So great though! Cobra is still on our Stallone list! Haven’t made it to that one just yet! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Oh man Miller's Crossing AND Beverly Hills Cop? You guys are gonna have fuuun!

Jay Davis

Wait. What? You guys haven't seen BHC? Funny thing about this movie. Eddie Murphy is not the Beverly Hills Cop. I don't know why they called it that. Sly Stallone was originally cast and ultimately passed and later made a flick called COBRA which was supposed to be this movie. Then in 1995 Cindy Crawford and Billy Baldwin remade the original book COBRA was based on called FAIR GAME.

Philip Davetas

Miller's Crossing is so good, I put it into the monthly drawing a couple of times. My favorite movie. Gabriel Byrne is so cool in it.
