TV Show Release Poll

Hi Everyone! So there's a TON of tv shows we want to watch, but realistically, we can probably only get 1 consistently watched/edited on YT at a time. If we start watching another one just for Patreon (that would eventually come to YT), would you be okay it was sporadically released on Patreon, or do you prefer consistency (ie. one episode per week)?

Comments

Can we please get a TV show poll for "The Wire " ? Thanks

Niko

They put out so much, I too really worry about them getting burned out.

Dan McComb

I don't really know what to vote. You guys already have a pretty good schedule. I guess it depends on the kind of show. If you intend to watch more episodic shows, then a sporadic release seems adequate. With a more serialized show there's a real chance of forgetting story beats if you only watch an episode every other week. Especially if the show has multiple seasons. Maybe 1 episode of a half hour show every week instead of 2? That would help reduce the editing time. Whatever happens, I'll be there.

ED209

Your eagerness to bring great content and ways to keep the channel as entertaining as possible is commendable! We appreciate you guys. Take it easy we don’t want you guys to get burned down. We love ❤️ your channel:)

Greg & Lilian

A good show to watch is VEEP.

pete

I have to rewatch that. Really enjoyed it when it aired back then.

PIG

The Wire?

PIG

Way less of a headache for you guys to just film your unedited reaction. That way you can just edit when you have the time and put them on YT way later. So much easier for you.

PIG

I enjoy that you would do it for Patreon first and not overwhelm the YT channel, this is a good call.

Luetin

I think people on Patreon or reaction channels don't do enough classic sitcom TV. For example, I'm currently watching every episode of the 1990s comedy/drama "Northern Exposure" on Amazon Prime. In the last three years, I've watched every episode of "Seinfeld", "Cheers", "Frasier", "Schitt's Creek", "Night Court", etc. As a 1980s baby, I think more channels should do the classic sitcoms and check them off their watchlist, not just the longer newer television shows.

Mike the Ginger

For clarity, I voted for a scheduled release, but that doesn’t mean an overly rigid affair. It need not be “every Monday” for example, but more scheduled than not. Life is too messy for precision. But also, too much “sporadic” can be hard to follow, depending upon the particular show.

David Wilkins

Please, please watch “Better Call Saul”

Daniel N

Selfishly I would prefer a weekly schedule but y'all have been great with your consistency/frequency your reactions in general are awesome so I voted for whenever they can be uploaded is fine 🙏 I'm gonna suggest "The Offer" again lol (Paramount plus) maybe it can be reacted to later this year, If you liked/loved The Godfather you'll enjoy "The Offer" 😁🙏

dieselbeast

I echo this. A long show, like the Wire or something similar, would likely be easier to get through if you made that exclusive for less editing. Shorter shows are easier to just get to when you get to them. Also, longer shows can be hard to dip in and out of like a shorter show. But the most important thing is that you both do it at a pace that works for you and your family!

Forrest

Depends on the show. A mini-series is fine for stretching out, but a show that has a lot of episodes and seasons, will take a very long time to get through. I have no problems with you making the main show you watch a Patreon exclusive. It will save you plenty of time not having to worry about all the edits. Just upload the full reaction, it will make your lives so much easier. You can make your sporadic release be the one you edit and post to YouTube.

Michael Chavira

Whenever u want/can, it's ok. But it's a sin u've not yet watched The Expanse, best TV show ever, period. After GOT, sorry.. lol

Victor M.P.G.

Did either of you ever watch the series Squid Game???? If not, you should STRONGLY consider that!!

Michael Gregory Cote

Just do it whenever you can, take your time and release them when you can, it’s not a big deal tbh we’ll watch them no matter what

FWPJR.

Carrier pigeon. :P

EdmanXERO

I'll take what ya got! I'm just waiting for "The Wire". XD

EdmanXERO

Oops lol..i will watch

ron clint

As long as it's Buffy I don't care whether it's sporadic, on a schedule, backwards, or sent in emails :)

Alex

An extra show would just be full lengths on patreon until it's ready for YT, so edits would come up later! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Just the full lengths now? TV shows I'm more likely to watch the edits. Also, let me throw in an enthusiastic recommendation for the short UK sitcom "Spaced," which was created by the guys who went onto do Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. It never became a breakout hit here, probably because it took a long time to come out on US DVD, but it's a great show filled with exactly the kind of pop culture references you'll both understand now because of the channel, and it's amazing to me that I've never seen any reactors cover it just because of how perfect it is for anyone getting a rapid education in pop culture.

Tyler Foster

They already reacted to that and it's fantastic.

Jen Barnes

I'll take any content, any time, from you guys. You're the best!

Jen Barnes

It's already on here! Enjoy! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

You MUST consider TRUE DETECTIVE Season One. Matthew McConaghey and Woody Harrelson in one slam bang mystery thriller. It is widely considered the best series premiere in TV history.

ron clint

I have noticed recently that a lot of youtubers who have scheduled content are burning out because of the pressure to release content. They regard it as a job and a drudge and eventually give up. Release on your own schedule and only take suggestions from us, not orders.

Opie Wan

I can't explain why, but a hard schedule works better for YouTube while a share-it-when-it's-ready approach works best for Patreon.

Paul Cox

whenever is convenient for you, you have plenty on your plate to do right now with work and Family

Charles Mitchell

Sporadically is fine...BTW, I recommend boardwalk empire and Peaky Blinders.

Edgar Gonzalez

When you are ready, it's your lives not ours ❤️

Deano

Speaking of TV - Have you guys ever seen the John Adams HBO miniseries?
