Drama Film Poll!

Help pick the Drama movie we will react to!

Please feel free to suggest other options in the comments for future polls!

*NOTE: I have seen American Beauty, so this would only be Sam's first time reaction.

We received a ton suggestions on the last polls, but we are trying to keep the poll sizes more reasonable. We have noted all suggestions for future polls!

Comments

I'd like to suggest Paris, Texas for the next Drama poll.

Lucas Coker

Maybe The Insider can be snuck in as well just because it's the 25th anniversary.

Tyler Foster

JFK, Being John Malkovich, and Trainspotting? I'd be thrilled with the top 3 getting reactions here.

Tyler Foster

It's not about if you mind. It's about what's easier for the baby. Babies aren't likely to adjust when they get hungry or wake up for you or anyone else. Think about how Sam and Daniel might feel about hearing their baby crying in another room while they film a reaction to JFK for you.

Erwin Quiachon

Guys please do Carlitos Way!! It is one of Pacino's best!!!

Demos Samolis

Fair. I give it up to Punch-Drunk Love personally

mikethemotormouth

JFK is winning, but it's about 3 hours long. So is "The Right Stuff". Maybe we should hold off on those for a few months until after the baby's sleeping and feeding schedules accommodate the longer films.

Erwin Quiachon

Yeah, it’s an interesting follow up from the movie.

Garry L

The cracking trainspotting ofcourse lol 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

ElmSt Reactions

Pulling for Being John Malovich so we can do some Kaufman movies! It's more of an absurdist black-comedy than a drama, though.

bosho11

I feel the same way about Dog Day Afternoon! πŸ˜ͺ

Domino

It physically hurts me that Carlitos way is not gonna win.....again, coming in second again 🀦 first oceans eleven now JFK lol (I mean JFK is a good movie but come on anytime you get a chance to see Al Pacino in action the choice should be clear lol) it shouldn't be passed up 🀷oh well lol, I'll still hold on to Hope that someday it'll win/get reacted to lol

dieselbeast

Really hoping to see October Sky on a Drama Film Poll one of these days. πŸ₯²

Andrew MacLeod

I go with Beeing John Malkovich !!! For the next Drama Poll i recommend "Kramer vs Kramer" from 1979 with Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep

Florian Meier

Black Box (Boite Noire) (2021). Excellent french thriller that's very underrated.

Heaby

Right this very second, a Carlitos way reaction is possible. If everyone could just not care about JFK for a little bit it can be done. Did you guys know that in the movie Carlitos way there is proof of who really shot Kennedy?

Daniel Gurney

Dog Day Afternoon 🀞🏼

Brandon B.

Going to suggest Paris, Texas again. An absolute gem of a movie

Smooticus

Meet Joe Black. But wow, so many greats here. The 2nd film with Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins, they are great together . (The other with them I've recommended already, Legends of the Fall)

Jonathan Patrick

Uncut Gems is probably my favorite Sandler movie not including a comedy.

EdmanXERO

JFK!!

Philip Alan

As others have said, I think the year on The Insider (1999) is an error, and if Being John Malkovich doesn't win it should be moved to comedy polls in the future. Also worth noting in advance that you should plan on following BJM with Adaptation (2002), as they are related (but Adaptation is not a sequel).

Tyler Foster

Uncut Gems is probably the most tense I've been in a movie in a long time.

iliketostayhome

Being John Malkovich is 1000% a comedy

Kevin Charley

Can't wait to see the shit hit the fan lol

mikethemotormouth

JFK has a killer cast, top to bottom, and a cracking good real life mystery. One of the best from Oliver Stone. The Conversation is right up Sam's alley..slick mystery from the master Francis Ford Coppola, with Gene Hackman at his best

ron clint

Being John Malkovich is just awesomely weird. Carlito's Way is another tour de force by Pacino. I'd love to see you guys react to Nobody's Fool (1994 w/Paul Newman) and/or The Russia House (1990 w/Sean Connery & Michelle Pfeiffer).

Charles Gaba

I voted for it assuming that was the case. I'm guessing the "1975" was in error.

Paul Cox

I'm recommending Legend for a future poll from 2015 starring Tom Hardy, great film, it's under the crime/gangster/drama genre y'all would enjoy it, Tom Hardy is a mutherf****kr of an actor πŸ™

dieselbeast

I don't think I have yet recommended to you guys The Road (2009) so I'm leaving it here on its own as a recommendation because it is an incredibly special film for me for many, many reasons. It is one of my all time favorite films too. Only one person has ever reacted to it on YouTube, it would be amazing if you guys did some day. ❀️

Domino

All good options but really hoping trainspotting wins this one

Smooticus

The Insider 1975? The only one that rings a bell is 1999 with Al Pacino, Russell Crowe

Will D

Casting my obligatory vote for Dog Day Afternoon, plus some other things that have a better chance of winning lol

Paul Cox

LOL. I love it.

Guston Zimasheen

Please add The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) to the next poll!

Ellie Miller

Hope JFK wins! Just had the new 4K box set delivered and looking forward to revisiting it again

Garry L

*We just recorded the drawing, so if you're seeing your selection on the poll, it didn't win this month*

TBR Schmitt

Uncut Gems gave me sooo much anxiety
