You guys switching up the intro roles threw me off a bit. Sam, excellent job.

Bull Durham is another great baseball movie you guys gotta watch some time (not for Baby Schmitt though lol).

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

That's so cool, love that you guys are already thinking of movies to show the Baby Schmitt.

90s cult classic. Remember Daniel/Sam letting your child play baseball is just a slippery slope to chewing tobacco. So don’t encourage it! ⚾️ 😏

Tristan Durant

And if we're all being honest, Barry Bonds gets a giant asterisk next to his name.

I saw this in theaters, opening weekend 30 years ago. Only now did I find out it’s not based on a true story. I just assumed because of how it ends that all those kids were real and Benny The Jet Rodriguez was a real ball player. Nope.

Considering the similar cast, if you haven't seen them yet, I think Mighty Ducks would be a great follow-up to this film.

β€œYou play ball like a girl!”--God, this movie makes me think about my childhood, playing baseball in the local park after school

Babe asked to take the card with Henry Aaron on it but he didn't know why. Henry "Hank" Aaron broke The Babe's all time home run record.

You're killing me, Schmitts! ⚾️

I’ve been waiting for you guys to react to this movie! One of the best kids movies hands down. I can watch it any day of the week. So many memorable lines and scenes. You’re killing me Smalls!!

Mario Serra

I always forget how much gun I have watching this movie

Just woke up from a nap to this. Haha. Perfect. I love it when Sam gets to do the intro/outro. lol EDIT: Forgot to mention, the scene where Babe Ruth asks Benny if he can have the card of Henry Aaron, that is Hank Aaron, the baseball player who breaks Babe's homerun record. Up until Barry Bonds, Hank was the all time leader in homeruns. That scene was just Babe having a premonition. Haha.

Going to try and not get too long winded but this movie holds a very special place in mine and my brothers hearts. Back when my dad married our step-mom (now mom) and they decided we were going to move from Hawaii to her home state Wisconsin. My brother and I hated it because we were leaving everything we had ever known. Anyways we move to Wisconsin and start school. Had a tough time fitting in because we spoke Hawaiian Pidgin (a broken down version of the English language) and were getting made fun of quite a bit. My moms sister is an elementary school teacher and would have summers off. So we would spend summers with her while parents worked. We would complain about not fitting in and she told us about a movie that the kids at her school loved. Yup that movie was Sandlot. She bought it for us on thee ol VHS and we obviously loved it. Later that summer we were coincidently at the public pool and my brother decided to re-enact Porters cannonball. Anyways the end is a few of our classmates were there and started laughing and started talking Sandlot with us. We were in!! Almost 30 years later and every time I see this movie, I'm transported right back to that summer at the pool. ALOHA
