My personal favorite of the recent American MonsterVerse films. I've always had a soft spot for Kong. I highly recommend the original King Kong film from 1933. One of the best monster films ever made.

I remember convincing my dad to let me stay up late to watch "The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms" when I was 7 years old. Gave me a lifelong fascination/fear of underwater sea monsters, but I love it! Same with watching "King Kong" (1933) when really young. Wish they made more quality monster movies.

My sister told me that they kept having nightmares from this but they still begged her to get a copy they could watch at home. My sister would let them watch it with me when they would visit and whenever she would leave the room, I'd sneak them cookies, chocolate, and cupcakes that they weren't supposed to have while they kept watching it to help fuel those nightmares.
