And Justice for All is another great Al Pacino movie.

You must show Al Pacino in Dog Day Afternoon. It is one of this greatest performances.

Lana Gorgeous

I hope these guys show Dog Day Afternoon as well, it is one amazing movie and Al Pacino should have won the Oscar for his performance.

Lana Gorgeous

I saw this movie when it came out and it was amazing and Al Pacino won the Oscar. But is was such a competitive year with Denzel Washington's Malcolm X performance. I was torn at the time but Al Pacino definitely deserved it. But on that night what I found most disturbing is that it was Al Pacino's first and only Oscar. How in the fu*k does that happen. My first Al Pacino movie was Serpico and he should have won the Oscar that year and he should have won for Dog Day Afternoon and he should have won in For Justice for All. He's in my top 5 greatest actor's ever, and this performance was his first and only Oscar. Crazy!

Lana Gorgeous

I love Al Pacino so much. I could watch him in anything. Really hoping Dog Day Afternoon makes it onto another poll so you guys can experience what is arguably Pacino's best performance. So much fun re-watching this again with you both!

Brandon B.

The director's follow up Meet Joe Black 1998 is also great. 3 hour runtime, very very slow and yet riveting and you don't notice the time. The stacked cast doesn't hurt either. How such a great director then turned around and made Gigli, a movie regarded as not just bad but one of the worst movies ever made, is beyond me.

Andrew Roach

Love Dog Day Afternoon! Scary, hilarious and tragic all at once. The last 2.5 minutes are incredible. Pacino’s face, watching everything unfolding around him, completely silent, yet you know exactly what he’s thinking. Brilliantly acted.

Catherine LW

HOO-AHH!

Odd Thomas

I'm thankful for you guys! hoowah!

Interesting that you thought Christopher Walken could have played this role. I was thinking that he already did in The Deer Hunter. It was the same character put into different circumstances that lead to a different ending. When Frank talks about giving up on having that enduring relationship with a woman, I thought that was because he had a career in the military that lasted at least 20 years where he was continuously moving and chose not to have a family in order to make it easier on his career. He was conditioned to end any romantic relationship for the next move.

I disagree. This was a very unique film and a big risk for Pacino to take. It was ahead of its time because of the spike in military suicides that would follow 30 years after it was released. Most people don't want to hear about the problems that military families endure, but that makes this film more important over time. Malcolm X was an outstanding, important, performance by Denzel Washington, but was a film waiting to be made.

Erwin Quiachon

I stand corrected!

Joe Lazarus

Donnie Brasco! with Johnny Depp and Michael Madsen

Ellie Miller

I mean, he probably shouldn't have won it for this. I think most people agree that Denzel should've won for Malcolm X, and this was a way to make it up to Pacino for all the times (at least 2) he got robbed.

Shehab Dawoud

De Niro.

Great reaction! Couldn't wait to see this with you guys. Thank you

Daniel Gurney

I concur with Joe especially "Carlitos Way"

Daniel Gurney

Glengarry Glen Ross (1991) Carlito's Way (1993) Donnie Brasco (1996) The Devil's Advocate (1997) Insomnia (2002) I hope you add these to the list!! Al Pacino is just...AWESOME!! His acting demands artistic reverence. Unlike any other actor his body language speaks more dialogues than his speech. Al Pacino is one actor whose acting as a villain inspires us. Who else can portray a negative character and yet influence us in a way like Al Pacino?

Joe Lazarus

The handful of times I’ve had someone tell me I did something amazing my reply thanks to this movie has been - well thanks, I’m in the amazing business It gets the same response the Colonel got when he said it.

Tomas

It’s no surprise Al Pacino won an Oscar for this film. All around superbly acted and unique in its tone and ending.

Ricardo Alanis

Absolutely fantastic. It’s a pleasure to watch this with you both.

Daniel N

I think they should go back and forth between 70s Pacino and 90s Pacino each time they do one of his films. He changed so much as an actor it's crazy. It's good to get both sides of him.

Shehab Dawoud

Donnie Brasco!!

Ellie Miller

I really like director Martin Brest. He did Beverly Hills Cop, Meet Joe Black, Midnight Run. Then he did Gigli in 2003 and he hasn't directed a movie in 20 years. I mean, I know he was put in movie jail, but it doesn't have to be a life sentence.

Ellie Miller

Cooooooool.

Steve Mercier

Loved your reaction, guys! there is so much I could say, you caught the father-son nature of Frank and Charlie, the fact that Frank just needed a reason to live again, and Charlie's bravery--he has so much courage to do the right thing, whether its not snitching or trying to stop somebody from killing themself! Every year my wife and I rewatch "the speech" -- its just perfect in so many ways.

Chris Bruneau

As for other Pacino movies: Serpico Dog Day Afternoon ... And Justice For All Sea of Love (Underrated) Glengarry Glen Ross Carlito's Way Donnie Brasco The Devil's Advocate The Insider Insomnia The Irishman I'd say ... And Justice For All is my favorite among these, but take your pick!

Shehab Dawoud

I knew you'd love this. I think Pacino definitely makes this film better than what it really is just by itself but it's still really good. He rightfully won the Oscar for this, his first and only one, believe it or not, after having been robbed so many times. That speech at the end is legendary. If you want another movie with an iconic Pacino speech, watch Any Given Sunday where he plays a football coach. Maybe around Super Bowl time? It's not exactly a great film but it has a great director (Oliver Stone), a stacked cast, and a Pacino who really carries it.

Shehab Dawoud

I noticed that Frank chose to die at the Waldorf Astoria. I remember that General Eisenhower and General MacArthur both lived at the Waldorf Astoria at the end of their lives in lavish suites similar to the one portrayed in this film.
