I'm glad you had a better time this time around! -Sam

Wow, that comment took me on a rollercoaster, how said for Lois Duncan. I'm glad her killer was caught, but how terribly sad that Lois wasn't around for it. Thank you for sharing! -Sam

So did I. I actually enjoyed it more with lower expectations. Movies still really poorly written. Most of the Scream knock-offs had the same problem of thing happens cause story, including most of the Scream sequels. I ain't mad at it, just saying.

Nick Thousan

Looks like they had a good time to me

Richard

I sat and watched another with you guys! Great job!

Mike the Ginger

1000% there is a sequel

Stephen King

Fun reaction! 😳

Kevin Williamson wrote the adaptation of IKWYDLS for Sony before he sold the screenplay for SCREAM. Miramax decided to produce Scream because Drew Barrymore had read the script and was shopping it to various studios. She was a silent partner. When Scream became an enormous hit, Sony Pictures quickly put IKWYDLS in turn around and the mid 90s slasher revival went full steam ahead. It was a big hit, although not as big as Scream. It also doesn’t quite have the self awareness that Scream has, but it was based on a YA novel from the 70s, so it’s more straight forward I guess. And, while Scream was more of a homage to Halloween, I Know is really referencing Prom Night and House on Sorority Row, two early 80s slashers that were produced because of the success of Halloween. They are worth a look if you get a chance. I think the genius of Kevin Williamson is that he knows the genre so well, and he’s able to create young, spunky characters. Of course, some people hate this genre because characters are always making silly mistakes, but I think it’s part of their charm. If done well, they can be a lot of fun. Yes, there was a sequel, but no, it’s not worth watching. Save two hours of your life and avoid it. Also, Scream was originally titled Scary Movie but the Weinstein brothers felt nobody would go to see a film called Scary Movie. Yet four years and two sequels later, they had no problem with the name when the Wayans brothers wanted to make their parody. Oh, the irony. Great reaction, you guys. I so love spooky season 🎃

Daniel saying "maybe they could lay him back in the road and let someone else run over him" 🤣😆 damn Daniel, you're a savage 😅 Got some good screams out of Sam too . Great reaction!

Ed Garland

Yea I'm currently watching them right now from another reactor. But it's not the same when it's not Daniel and Sam. I would also watch the episodes in the right order (Buffy / Angel) coz once Angel came out there are characters that will go visit Angel and vice versa and the story is combined in both shows. I would definitely add Smallville to the mix. The Arrowverse is pretty good. Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow. Not a big fan of Supergirl. You think Buffy and Angel have cross overs.. Arrowverse is like crossovers on steroids lol. Also speaking of Jennifer Love Hewitt.. I am not sure if it would be something you guys or patrons would like.. but Ghost Whisperer is a really good show but not sure if it would be right for the channel. It's extremely emotional.

Alex

What a fun reaction! Loved the jump scares. The one at the end really got you Sam!:)

The sequel is all about JLH's cleavage, and honestly I don't have a problem with that, lol. But after 2 the franchise went to cheap straight to video stuff without any of the original cast. There was a recent TV series, but I haven't seen it.

I'm really sorry y'all had to sit through that crap movie. It was bad when it came out and it's still bad two decades later.

This film is based on a much better novel of the same name from 1973. I'm amazed that the writer of the novel, Lois Duncan, wasn't even given a credit at the start of the film. One of the many ways the book is superior is that the group of teenagers aren't all douchebags. After they hit a kid off his BMX, for example, they don't roll him into a river to die. They call 911 anonymously and try to save him. Lois Duncan, by the way, was one of the pioneers of young adult horror fiction in the 60s and 70s. A lot of big names, including Stephen King, have ripped off her work. She stopped writing horror fiction in 1989 after her own daughter was murdered at the age of 18. She devoted the rest of her life to finding her daughter's killer, but died in 2016 with no answers. In 2021, police finally caught the guy who did it. Her story always stuck with me.

Future Boy

Oh definitely watch Buffy and angel. They're a long commitment, but well worth it. Great shows!

Nick of Time

Speaking of Buffy... "I plan to spend my future slaying vampires..." I just hear Buffy whenever Sarah says anything. So I watched the movie. I just called her Buffy throughout the whole movie. Jennifer Love Hewitt is ❤️

Alex

“Cracker…Croaker Queen” 🤦🏽‍♂️🤣🤣

Tristan Durant

We need Scream sequels!

Odd Thomas

For more Sarah Michelle Gellar I highly recommend Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Absolutely iconic comedy horror with some of the best episodes you will ever see.
