Fargo Season 2 Episode 1 'Waiting for Dutch' Full TV Reaction!!

Fargo Season 2 Episode 1 'Waiting for Dutch' Full TV Reaction!!

Comments

Hahah!

SGato!

No worries, there is a resemblance!

Brad P

Damn it. Sorry about that….

PIG

Haha, stop loving your own comments. Now I remember that you're the guy who was screeching for another member to be banned for "spoiling" something that Dan and Sam already knew. And, once again, there's nothing even remotely close to a spoiler in my initial comment.

Brad P

Wrong!!

SGato!

Nice, love a Scott Pilgrim reference, but made me wonder, have they finished the Cornetto Trilogy, the World's End?

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

Then he had to defeat her evil exes

Starman Deluxe

There are a lot of things I love about this season, the characters for one, some of which (whom?) you haven't even met yet, but also the style, things like the split screen, I think it's really creative and an interesting choice. Btw Jesse Plemons and Kirsten Dunst met on set, the same thing happened in season 3 with two other famous actors, they met on the show and are married now (although one was already married with kids when they met).

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

That's Kieran Culkin. He also stars in Succession which is also a fantastic show.

f hf

I think he is assuming you have seen the Breaking Bad TV series. Better Call Saul is a prequel to the show, and while we know what happens to most of the characters in Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul still does a tremendous job of building suspense and the character backstories.

Dajefe70

There's absolutely zero spoilers in my comment. They wouldn't even know who I'm referring to.

Brad P

Stop fffing spoiling!! People just cant keep there mouth shut!!

SGato!

He kind of looks like Jeffrey Donovan but the actor who played Lester's boss in Season 1 is Tom Musgrave. Donovan though is incredible as Dodd in Season 2. I think he got overlooked at awards season due to there just being so many other great performances on the show.

Brad P

I often debate if I love this season or the first season more. I think you'll love it too. Side Note: The actor playing Dodd Gerhardt, the older brother of the crime family syndicate, also acts in Season 1 Fargo playing Lester Nygaard's boss. The dude with the glasses in the insurance office. The actor is Jeffery Donovan and he's different in every thing I see him in.

PIG

Very excited to start the new season!

Ricardo Alanis

I'm sorry. I thought this was the Faygo tv show. My mistake.

Kevin Charley

Right there with u, bro

Chris Bruneau

I'm such a sucker for split-screens to this day! Everything you said above is 100% relatable... and also the color scheme and general look takes me right back to 70s movies. Not sure if it's a nostalgic thing, but I just love the way those movies looked back in the day. Actual film!

Mike Miner

I’ve watched this season 5 times lol. Could be the best writing ever on tv. Between Mike Milligan. Hanzi (we know who he turns into later in life) and who he meets. Dodd and everyone else. There hasn’t been so many amazing, fearsome, and intelligent characters in one group ever. It’s definitely over some people heads, I get it. Between the UFO, the clock, Hanzi closing his eyes and everything else. Some storylines are too deep for most people to pick up. That’s why you have to rewatch. Tried hard to not put spoilers and I don’t think I did. But it goes into a lot of subliminal detail. It isn’t 24 or Friends or anything like that. But thank goodness. We need more tv like this.

Jonny Kerr

How about "This show wasn't for me but I hope you enjoy it" instead of pointless negativity? Season Two's critical acclaim speaks for itself.

Brad P

Instead of crying on the internet, why don't you recommend something

Mr. Chumpus

I have no idea what that even means,, LOL

Robert Smith

Didn't watch Better Call Saul?

Michael Kang-Beats

This one sucks. I feel sorry for you watching it.

Kevin Charley

One problem I have with season two is no matter what the situation, since you already seen season 1 ,we know Lou will be okay.. takes away the tension..

Robert Smith

Did u recognize him from battle star galactica??

Chris Bruneau

This season is actually where Jesse Plemons and Kirsten Dunst met and fell in love. Makes watching them play a married couple before doing it for real all the more enjoyable! And Otto Gerhardt has just one scene of dialogue before his stroke, but never before in movies or television has the ogre's threat of "I'll grind their bones to make my bread" sounded more serious or threatening. Incredible first impression of what kind of man he is.

Hunter DeRensis

since I'm a wee-bit older than you, here is some info about the 1970s cultural themes running thru this show: 1) female empowerment (women's lib) 2) economic malaise and gasoline shortages 3) the UFO phenomenon 4) 70s TV obsessions with split screens! 5) the 70s music! they hit ALL of them and its a great tip of the hat to that whole wacky decade!!! Watching this show took me back to my young childhood days watching Brady bunch, and Charlies Angels. Enjoy!!

Checked my email before bed. Crap, now I have to stay up a while! Also, turn on subtitles so you don't miss anything.

Opie Wan

Some of this season's best characters are only seen briefly lurking in the background of this first episode. There's a lot to look forward to.

Brad P

Your notification that this episode was up made me squeal like an idiot. Looking forward to this season with you guys, dontcha know. I think for next episode I will make Hamburger Helper and Tater -Tots.

Anthony Perez

Agreed. I wish they'd post an episode every day.

David Martin

Betsy's black humor surfaces: Love Canal was the site of one of the worst environmental disasters in U.S. history, and despicable in the government's response to the victims. And Pol Pot might be described as Cambodia's Adolf Hitler, responsible for the killing of millions of Cambodians (and other bizarre notions) during the Vietnam War era.

David Martin

Excited to begin Season 2 with you! It's probably my favorite season of a television show ever (with season one and even season three not too far behind). S2 is one of the few shows to get a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Peggy's run-in with Rye Gerhardt is based on an infamous real-life incident... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Gregory_Glenn_Biggs?wprov=sfla1

Brad P

It's really kinda fun watching this series with you guys as you're starting a new family... just realized that the movie and both these seasons rely heavily on the hero being able to come back home and settle in with a "normal" family life, despite the horrific crimes going on outside the home.

Mike Miner

Aw snap! I didn't think this would be up so quik!!!!!

Chris Bruneau

I've probably watched this season a dozen times and I'm still excited to dive into it yet again.

Brandon

“Pretend it didn’t happen “ let’s go to California like I always wanted

Will Zamora

Love Kirsten Dunst as an actress, but can’t stand this character she plays

Will Zamora

Glad you're wasting no time getting into season 2.

Bobby_Z24

Season 1 has the better pilot. But Season 2 is up there with True Detective Season 1 as the best season of TV ever made.

Kody Walker

“Got damn, unacceptable…”

Will Zamora

Goddamnit! I was going to go to bed...whatever...sleep is for assholes, anyway. HaHA!

Steve Mercier

Hi, CIA, Ike was right…

Will Zamora

Ok, I never liked this season more than Season one , maybe because it’s more chaotic and the only good thing are some of the the characters and not what actually happens.

Will Zamora

Aww thanks, Jonny! What a start to the season! -Sam
