is it too late for November movie suggestions? Ill throw out The Ice Storm from Ang Lee (set during Thanksgiving) and of course a movie about food, so Ill go with Big Night co-written & co-directed by Stanley Tucci. thanks for the wonderful reactions !! ๐ฆ

2023-10-04 09:22:14 +0000 UTCHi Sam, Yes, the movie was filmed on the Desperate Housewives street, but I do remember the rickety old house used in The Burbs being close to the Bates Motel and mansion, so they might have moved it there right after filming. Cheers!

I've noticed I really like Joe Dante's horror comedies, they're not scary but spooky in a fun way, he has a pretty unique style. Innerspace is another of his movies I really like, sci-fi comedy, with Martin Short, love that guy.

I hope there's a chance you find a spot for Psycho 2 (1983) this Halloween. It came third in a poll full of heavyweights, and got a TON of love in the comments. I agree with Tarantino that it's the best horror sequel ever. Anthony Perkins' performance is, in Tarantino's opinion, "One of the great lead performances in any horror film ever made." And it's still the 40th anniversary year too!
