Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989) First Time Watching! Full Movie Reaction!!

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989) First Time Watching! Full Movie Reaction!!

Comments

Love this movie, the sequel is even better in my book. Things get crazy. After this reaction I totally want to play trivial pursuit against you guys for money though.

Tostito Buddy

His valet, doctor and one of his generals said he was 5โ€™6โ€.

Catherine LW

Please watch Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Easily the best film I've seen all year. No prior knowledge required.

Odd Thomas

That was fun watching with you two!

Philip Alan

Be Excellent to each other and Party On Dudes!!

Mark M

Omg that's an incredible idea!!! If you react to the sequels, you should do that!

Scott Kerr

I can't watch the trailer for Ridley Scott's Napoleon movie without thinking 'ziggy piggy, ziggy piggy'

Odd Thomas

We need Bogus Journey dudes

Odd Thomas

I thought it was pretty good. And I hate what you're referring to with Indiana Jones 4-5 .. not anything specific, just the ruining of franchises. I am in the camp that Star Wars ends at episode 6, There's new any of this new nonsense etc. that I won't name bc I don't wanna start a stink LOL. I considered Face the Music to be not that. I don't think Wayne's World was anywhere near as good as this but why not. Definitely in addition to Wayne's World (and I would honestly say I would prefer it) would be Austin Powers and the sequels. I dunno if they already saw them.

Alex

"I'm stuck in the catacombs....What are you doing step bro?"

Alex

The Step Brothers Catalina Wine Cooler Mix version of Dracula. jk

Guston Zimasheen

This movie is sooo much fun!! My goodness! My favorite part is when Napoleon tries to negotiate with that little girl at the water park. LOL. I also laughed my ass off when Sigmund Freud is at the police station talking to the interrogator. "Would you like a couch to lie on?" LMAO!!

Scott Kerr

My Favorite Movie of ALL TIME! So glad you finally saw this side of Keanu!

Abby

I never even thought how much influence that movie had on Bill and Ted! I loved that movie as a kid.

PIG

Oh and ... Bam.. Bram.. Bam Stroker's... Bram Stroker's Dracula... LOL

Alex

Just a solid, fun movie. I heard that the "final report" scene initially just took place in a classroom, kind of like what Daniel was thinking, but the producers realized it was pretty underwhelming, so they re-shot that whole final sequence and made it WAY over the top. Great decision!

Mike Minerals

this was fun! my only thing was wish they left genghis khan out of this, he was a monster just horrific, you cant make light of that imo, but anyways looking forward to the aviator later this week, Leonardo is always GOLD!

dieselbeast

You guys absolutely must see Time Bandits

Smooticus

Itโ€™s personal head cannon for sure lolol

Webwyrm

Absolutely. That's just original Keanu. There's a great clip somewhere on youtube of Keanu as a news correspondent, for some weird teddy bear festival they covered on the local news. He was a teenager and he talks exactly like Ted.

Tostito Buddy

Bill (the one that's not Keanu) was played by Alex Winter. He was in a bizarre cult horror comedy called FREAKED that I loved so much as a kid. It's crazy but funny, and it has great practical effects. Also, Keanu has a decent sized role if you can guess who he is wearing all those prosthetics.

Tostito Buddy

Sequels as in both of them?? Because part 3 isn't Indiana Jones 4-5 bad. But boy was it bad.

Tostito Buddy

The first Wayne's World sketch appeared on Saturday Night Live the day after this movie came out. So, neither really influenced the other. And I say watch the Bill and Ted sequels and the 2 Wayne's Worlds.

Kevin Charley

Party on, dudes!

Steve Mercier

Wow (or maybe I should say whoa), what a totally excellent reaction, dudes! Okay, all joking aside, this was one of your best reaction, Schmitts. Seeing how extremely into this and excited you two were was great. I'm so glad you liked this one, and I absolutely can't wait for you to watch the sequel. The funny thing is, I normally hate silly stuff, and I get annoyed at things that don't make logical sense, but I loved this movie. It's just a good time, where you get to shut off your brain for a while and enjoy. One of the things I always really liked about this movie, aside from the music and the ridiculously original concept, is the buddy-buddy relationship you see forming between Socrates and Billy the Kid. I loved the way, at the mall, Socrates was trying to get Billy to go with him to move on those two girls. Too funny. It's almost hard to describe how much of an iconic phrase "Be Excellent to each other" has become. There is a reactor duo that uses it in their posts, and I don't even think they've seen this movie or know where it comes from. It's seeped into public awareness so much that people use it without knowing the context. Which, considering that the movie suggests the world models itself after Bill and Ted, makes the whole concept really funny and weirdly meta. Oh, and I would love for you to watch Wayne's World. It also has a sequel that, to me, is just as good. Thanks again for a great reaction, guys.

Raven Dark

You had me at "Keanu and a vampire guy"

Aaron Barlow

Fun fact, Napoleon wasn't short, that rumor was British propaganda, he was average height for the time. Can't wait to see Joaquin Phoenix in Ridley Scott's upcoming Napoleon biopic. Speaking of Joaquin Phoenix and Keanu Reeves, you gotta check out my second favorite Ron Howard movie, Parenthood. Also thought it was so funny they mention water slides, San Dimas is where Raging Waters is, best water slides of any planet we're in contact with lol Oh and one of the princesses was played by Diane Franklin, she was in a few other 80s movies but my favorite was Better Off Dead, with John Cusack.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

I feel the same way about the second film. I love this one, but I like the second one just a little bit more. I wonder if there's a lot of people that feel that way.

Raven Dark

LMAO I love this so much. This needs to be a thing.

Raven Dark

Excellent!!! For me The Second one is the Best;) I recommend "The Devil's Advocate from 1997 with Keanu Reeves and Al Pacino !! And you forget in the beginning that you already watched "Speed" on the Channel :)

Florian Meier

Another great early Keanu Reeves movie is Parenthood (1989). You really should do a deep dive into 80's movies, they are the absolute best!

Jen Barnes

Both Wayne's World movies are just as good as this, except instead of just coming out of no where, they are based off a really popular skit that Mike Meyers used to do on SNL.

Vwlss Nvwls

This has been one of my favorite movies. Please react to the other 2 of them if you have a chance. .

Eddy

Things are afoot at the circle k , yes to watching the other movies and Wayne's world is a fun time so also yes ๐Ÿค˜๐ŸŽธ

Ian

My mind just exploded.

EdmanXERO

I am Daniel "TBR" Schmitt, Esquire! And I'm Sam "Samantha" Schmitt! And we're... WYLD SCHMYTTS!!!!

EdmanXERO

It's funny, back then this was what Keanu was known for and if you see Speed (and I think also in The Matrix) there are elements of it. I think in Speed in one of the parts of the movie he's like "Whoa.."

Alex

Yes, please do the sequels.

Alex

Most triumphant reaction, dudes! By all metrics, Back to the Future is. a better movie, but I've always loved this one more. For me, it's funnier and more fun and low key actually really smart. I've seen it a million times and am always happy to watch it again. I've often wondered whether I majored in history because of Bill & Ted.

VivendoBem

LOL when I asked him before he knew what was going on he said maybe a few times per year ๐Ÿ˜‚ -Sam

Sometimes I wonder if Dan just sits around and thinks about the Roman Empire

Something is afoot at the TBC Schmitt Patreon page, dude!

Vwlss Nvwls

I saw this in the theater as one of my first dates with my girlfriend at the time. We had such a good time we told our friends and went to see it with them the next day.

Vwlss Nvwls

John Wick. The dark timeline where they fail the test and Ted goes off to the Military Academy!

Webwyrm

Please put Back to School (1986) on your radar for a comedy reaction. It's another iconic 80's comedy

Mr. Chumpus

Been waiting all week for this! This was my favorite movie as a kid/teen.

Nicotti

You guys should do a video introducing yourselves like Bill & Ted. I know you've already seen it since it's posted hehe.. Would be funny to just say that, and you guys are like "Introducing ourselves?" "You'll seee!!!!!!" :) Daniel middle name Schmitt & Samantha middle name Schmitt!! Together, we are .............. ? :)

Alex

TBR Schmitt's Excellent Reaction. :D Please do the sequels!

EdmanXERO
