I second this motion...SLING BLADE has been on my mind of late. Flawless performances by everyone involved. Dwight Yoakam as the epitome of a scumbag. Incredible script. Unforgettable.

Please, please, please…for the ultimate in Billy Bob, watch and react to ‘Sling Blade’ (1996). It’s probably safe to say that you haven’t seen anything quite like it. There isn’t a genre label that’s totally satisfactory, but it’s loosely a character driven drama. It’s a very early career film that he wrote, directed, and starred in, and it really launched his career. His character is someone you’ll never forget, and he got an Oscar nomination for Best Actor. But that aside, I’m enjoying every one of your Fargo episodes.

Bob has an epic comb-over/forward in this show. I wish we could see a picture without it... just that male-pattern baldness horseshoe in its full glory. LOL.

They way they shot the massacre scene is one of the coolest visuals ever in my opinion.

Lorne already took care of his business in town (the guy in the trunk), then he met Lester. That's why he was in town, not an assignment to kill Sam Hess. That's why Fargo is upset, because Sam Hess was their man. When the handler called him asking about going to his next assignment, he said to the handler that he was taking a little personal time that should take a few days (killing Sam Hess) before the next assignment.

The chance meeting between Lester and Malvo is similar to one that kicks off a famous Alfred Hitchcock movie but I won't mention the name because I don't think Daniel and Sam have seen it yet.

Actually you know I remember now. Lorne asked Lester "Is this what you want, yes or no" .... That's pretty relevant..
Lorne killed Hess because Lester affirmed that's what he wanted.

Malvo simply killed Hess for the enjoyment of the chaos he could cause. He only stopped in Bemidji because of the unforeseeable accident that opened the show. As he explained to his handler while tailing Hess, he had some personal business to take care before he moved on to Duluth.

I think that's totally possible. It was still coincidence that brought Lester and Malvo together at the ER, but Malvo found an opportunity to cause more chaos and possibly give the police another possible suspect.

Am I the only one who loves Lester and is rooting for him? LOL.
I thought that was great revenge. That was a masterful move in my opinion. Lorne and Lester are what makes this season great.
I don't think that Lorne killed Hess because of what Lester said. Lorne's a hit man. I think there was a contract out on Hess. Why else would Lorne be there? He's not from there.

I know I've watched the film Fargo too many times cause I'm catching references left and right. They even do similar shots like when Gus and Molly were eating with the window behind them reminded me of the shot where Marge and Norm were eating in the morning. Then with this episode you can even hear the TV when Molly and her dad are in the hospital talk about the bark beetle as when Marge and Norm are in bed watching TV.

I was more giddy than a schoolboy when I got the email that this dropped !! And I wasn't ever giddy, even when I was a schoolboy. (You should be able to recognize where this is from since you've watched it recently :)
PS: These episode names make absolutely no sense.
