2023-08-10 01:22:56 +0000 UTCUnless I'm mistaken, Alec Baldwin thought the film was hilarious and said after it came out that he would have done his own voice if asked. Movie Matt Damon was supposed to say normal lines, but the filmmakers thought the puppet looked particularly idiotic so they made him a complete goof. The movie was well reviewed but only made 50 million dollars worldwide on a 30 million budget. With the splits with theatres and marketing that's a flop. However, I'm sure it made a killing on video. I think tons of teenagers who couldn't see the movie in cinemas because of the R rating saw it at home with friends. I saw it on our provincial movie channel.
