Chapter 137: Gathering Various Materials

While Natsuki and Patrick were training with Lilyana, on the other side, Haruto stepped out of the cave, where he was currently gazing around with a calm expression.

Around the cave entrance, there were trees and bushes; it was now the fourth day since the Survival Exam began.

Haruto closed his eyes, using Sensorial Perception to sense his surroundings. After that, he opened his eyes and glanced to the right.

Not far from where Haruto was standing, a fight was taking place between two groups of students. However, Haruto didn't care and quickly diverted his gaze, then closed his eyes again.

Haruto resumed using Sensorial Perception, and he began to sense his surroundings very well. Then he discovered something, and without hesitation, he immediately ran toward a certain location.

Before long, Haruto stopped at a tree. Right beneath that tree was a small hole. Haruto glanced around before shifting his gaze to a tree, specifically to a fresh fruit that looked delicious—a simple apple.

Haruto crushed the apple right above the small hole beneath the tree. Shortly after, a small snake appeared. The snake was blood-red with purple eyes, and it was about 15 to 18 centimeters long.

Haruto quickly caught the snake, then he inserted his hand into the hole, where he felt something inside.

Without thinking twice, Haruto forcefully pulled out the object, which turned out to be a Silver Token. He quickly stored the token and then put his hand back into the hole.

Then Haruto pulled again, and something surprising emerged—a beautiful light blue gem that sparkled brilliantly.

Haruto smiled widely and immediately stored the gem along with the Silver Token. Then he shifted his attention to the snake he had found.

"Good snake, you're going to provide something nice for me, right?" Haruto smiled broadly.

The snake merely stared at Haruto and tried to struggle, attempting to free itself, but Haruto held the snake tightly. He then looked around before finally starting to search for various excellent materials.

"Really?"

"How would I know? Besides, that kid is very knowledgeable."

"Wait!" Luna, with a shocked expression, immediately focused on what Haruto was doing, where he was gathering various strange things, from Horrors to odd Plants.

"Don't tell me... Is... Is that what the kid is going to do?" Luna exclaimed in disbelief.

"What do you mean, Luna?" Sophia asked seriously.

"No, it can't be... Is this real? That kid... That kid has gone crazy! Someone stop him!" Luna panicked again.

"Wait, Luna! Calm down! Tell us what you mean!" Sophia, looking shocked and confused, tried to stop Luna from panicking.

"That kid! That kid intends to do something crazy! Someone stop him!" Luna, with a panicked expression, ran to the front of the monitor.

"Luna, calm down! Tell me what you mean! What’s happening?" Sophia asked firmly.

"That... That kid is going to do something insane! He intends to perform Synthesis!" Luna hesitated at first but eventually said what she was thinking.

"Synthesis? What do you mean?" Sophia asked, looking confused.

"Synthesis, that kid intends to combine various materials from different Horror bodies and various Plants to produce something far more valuable." Luna explained slowly, though her face still showed signs of panic.
