The Sopranos Season 5 Episode 10 'Cold Cuts' Full TV Reaction!!

Comments

When Tony said he just needed some 'Beano' when he's having an attack at Dr.Melfi's office:D

Mark M

"In the Czech Republic too, we love pork. Ever had our sausages?"

Ghost Crusaders

That "Johnny should be out there looking for the real killers instead of spending all his time on the golf course" line always cracks me the hell up. It's probably not as noticeable now, but at the time that was a rip on OJ Simpson who said the same thing during an interview while on a golf course lol.

I’ve seen it so many times. This is my favorite season and these 5 episodes are the best TV ever created. Can’t believe we are almost done with the series already. Told you guys it would go by fast.

Ghost Crusaders

Yes the finale! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

TBR Schmitt

I know there was some resentment from David Chase that the audience was glamorizing the characters, but I still believe it was always his plan to make the show bleaker and bleaker. It's the ultimate rug pull!

Marcus Cato

one benefit of a poor memory, watching the sopranos now is very close to a first watch. 😀

YoureMrLebowski

Wait til you get to the next 3

Ghost Crusaders

The first guy they dig up that Chris said is his first kill was the guy from the first episode that Chris shot in the pork store.

Kevin Charley

The next few episodes are going to be wild.

Tim Raths

It's interesting you bring this up, because I always worry about this very thing when convincing others to watch the show for the first time. Still, nobody's ever told me they ended up stop watching once they've given it a chance. Here's hoping Sam & Daniel stay similarly invested.

VivendoBem

Nearly every time Chris is shown this season he is either eating candy or drinking soda. Subtle way to say he replaced his drug addiction with a sugar addiction.

David Murray

I knew we had some things in common regarding family/heritage, but I'm sorry to hear we also share the proximity to the famous Southern Italian jealousy/rage, too. Can't say I'm surprised, though. Poor us. Whadda ya gonna do, right? Yeah, Tony’s business life is one thing (I actually think he’s kinda strangely more moral as a mafioso than he is is his private life, if one can actually distinguish between the two) but what he did to Janice in this episode, and the satisfaction he obviously derives from it, is really sickeningly beyond the pale. Having said that, I fear what it implies about me that Sopranos Home Movies is my favorite episode of the series. It's coming up soon, and I can't wait.

VivendoBem

I once got stuck watching that moment in a YouTube short for about 3 mintues!

Future Boy

Sacre bleu where is me mama kills me everytime lol

Stan the Man

That's funny Dan referencing RHONJ with the same brother and sister dynamic and one of them doing time.

Richard

Agreed. My favorite 3 of the season.

daron85

And 13.

Kevin Charley

Deep into season 5, and I think this is the most fun I've had watching a pair of episodes with you. Some of the finest TV I've ever seen, enjoyed in a whole new way thanks to these reactions. I think next week's episodes might be my favourite pair you've watched so far, even more so than the final 2 episodes of season 3. I cannot wait for you to see what's coming!

Future Boy

Janice on the news was so great. When it cuts to her getting tackled by the police I about died. As a therapist I really enjoyed the scenes with Dr. Melfi. The problem with Tony is he's completely capable of real insights, but most of the time he's incapable of using what he's learned to behave differently.

Jeffrey Miller

One of my favorite endings to an episode in the series and in any show ever. It's awesome to see how much fun you two are having with the show. I was cracking up when you two were cheering on Janice during her fight. She's funny as fuck and I legit crack up whenever she's on screen. Also Tony's face when he's watching the news always had me dying lmao. Georgie's beatdown was easily one of the most abhorrent moments in the show for Tony, even though he does waste ice and brings in toy fish to a place of business. Tony was legitimately morose when Paulie tells him that Georgie wants nothing to do with him anymore. It really is fascinating that Tony would grapple with regret after senselessly beating someone. You know Paulie gave him maybe half the money and told him he's lucky he knows him. This episode reminds me of the season 2 episode "The Happy Wanderer", when Tony talks about said happy wanderer with Melfi: “It’s everything and everybody. I see some guy walking down the street, you know, with a clear head. You know the type. He’s always fucking whistling like the happy fucking wanderer. I just want to go up to him and I just want to rip his throat open. I want to fucking grab him and pummel him right there for no reason.” From Janice improving herself, Chris becoming sober, and Georgie in general, Tony resents anyone who is at peace with themself and makes any attempt at self improvement. He really is becoming his mother.

Sol95

I'm glad to see you guys are still enjoying the show. When it first aired, a lot of viewers started to disengage when realizing that the lighter tone of the first couple seasons was not going to return. It's nice to see that you guys are still going along with it. It might be a really dark view of humanity, but it's so well done that it's worth it. As others have said, you are in for a run of really amazing and pretty challenging episodes.

Marcus Cato

It is disturbingly accurate. As an Italian-American, I'm always shocked how so many family members suffer from anger issues. On the Sopranos subreddit, the subject of Tony's most evil moment comes up alot. A lot of people bring up this scene with Janice. He commits a lot of attocities that can be rationalized as strategic behavior in a business where everyone knows the rules and the stakes, but his lashing out at Janice feels like it had no value. It's like he did it for the pure cruelty of it because he couldn't stand seeing someone else happy.

Marcus Cato

It appears the final episode won the poll. I suppose that is just as well, because I assume if no. 12 were standalone that no. 11 would have to be as well.

Marcus Cato

Which episode is the solo for this season? Is it "Long Term Parking"?

Donna Castellano

Great reaction, guys, but I think Daniel is letting Tony off the hook by calling his actions pathetic. From undermining Chrissy’s sobriety to shattering Janice’s breakthroughs in anger management for no other reason than petty jealousy, I really think this is Tony at his most evil, perhaps in the entire series. I feel both tremendous love for and deep pride in having an Italian American background, but I believe our envy is different from regular human envy: for too many of us, it’s not enough to covet something another has, we actually feel rage that they have it at all. I don’t know if I’m explaining it properly, but it’s the main theme in this episode and it is distressingly accurate.

VivendoBem

Next 3 episodes are S tier episodes.
