If it’s not said in the show and not confirmed by David Chase, it’s all BS to me. Again, Ade could be related to Richie the same way Christopher is Tony’s nephew. Or related by marriage to Richie’s ex wife. So Liz is Richie’s ex wife’s sister. That means Vito would have no relation to Ade nor would Jackie Jr. that’s the only way it makes sense to me.

Oh, I’m well aware of how loosely familial connections can be ascribed in this particular subculture, but both Vito (in the mafia) and his little brother Bryan (a building contractor) are described by various Apriles as blood relations. Off the top of my head, when Tony forces Richie to build a ramp for Beansie, he says he’ll have his nephew Bryan do it. And, after Bryan's put into a coma by Mustang Sally, Jackie Jr calls him his cousin. This of course means that when Vito kills Jackie Jr, he is also killing his cousin. It also means that when Ade was still working at Vesuvio and Jackie Jr was ogling her, he was ogling his cousin. The Apriles really standout out, even in this world, for being creeps. Maybe it's sloppy writing or just a case of cousins vs “cousins”, but I've always felt they were blood. And I’m not the only one who’s noticed it, just about any of the online Sopranos family trees note the Sapatafore-Aprile relationship. For example, this one https://zubindoshi.com/sopranos-family-trees/. Hardly official canon, I concede, though, to my knowledge, no such “bible” exists that could settle the matter once and for all.

You have to understand that these people use family terms very loosely. Also…where did you get Vito & Ade are related? I know Vito & someone else is related, and that becomes important later, and I think that was definitely a retcon based on how those characters interact this season(and indicate no relation towards each other), but where is it said Ade is related to Vito?

Funniest line: “You threw food at him—that’s gotta be resolved.” Vito Spatafore, the obese new captain of the Aprile crew, is particularly disturbing in this episode for claiming that when Chrissy was in rehab, Ade was calling him trying to “get together” because, more than it being an obvious lie, Ade is Vito’s FIRST cousin! Adriana’s mom, Liz La Cerva nee Aprile is sister to Vito’s mom (as well as Richie Aprile and Jackie Sr). I don’t know if the writers/producers got confused or if this was entirely deliberate—I could believe either possibility. And, let’s say, episodes to come may reveal a motivation behind Vito’s behavior, but even in light of that revelation just making up such a lie has always creeped me out.

This is not the episode they won Emmy’s for. They won for “Long Term Parking” episode 12. I know Wikipedia says otherwise they won for episode 5, but that’s false, they won for LTP.

If my girl was alone with another guy at 2am doing god knows what that would be the end of it, no need to get violent but it's definitely over, even if that other guy was family/friend that theoretically you're supposed to "trust" eh eh 🙅 lol it's a lot harder for Christopher because he's in that "life" he can't just tell Tony alright I'm gone lol there's a saying out there some people in this life use called "Blood in Blood out" only one way in one way out 🤷
