The Sopranos Season 5 Poll!

For those watching The Sopranos with us, which episode in Season 5 should be our stand alone reaction (single dedicated reaction video to one episode since there is an odd number)?

Comments

Yeah. Infact I would say for Season 6 they should do a super sized episode and just do the first 3 episodes in a single reaction video. It’s unlike other episodes in the series where is basically just one cohesive story(kinda). If they do 3 episodes in 1 that would mean “Blue Comet” & “Made in America” will get shown in the same reaction video. I think. Someone check my math on that lol and that would be the best way to watch em

Stan the Man

If I was watching this alone I'd be with you, jumping right into the next season. But I like that these reactions are forcing me to slow down a bit!

Future Boy

Yeah that's fair. Sopranos isn't really a cliffhanger type show. It's great when the last episode of a season and the first episode of the next season are a two-parter though, to skip the wait. I love finding out what happens five minutes later instead of months and months later.

Tostito Buddy

I'd rather keep the seasons separated by a week. If they'd watched the first episode of season 5 right after Whitecaps, all the anticipation for the start of season 5 (which I feel right now) would have been lost.

Future Boy

I've not seen this season yet as i'm gonna watch it along with the TBR fam but i'm gonna vote for the last episode, after Whitecaps - the series finales must be the most explosive :) maybe except Pine Barrens.

esclad

How come you guys don't just watch 13 with episode 1 of season 6? I love skipping the season break when watching old shows. I enjoy going straight into the next season, knowing that the poor buggers who watched it originally had to wait 8 months or something between episodes. But I might just be a bad person.

Tostito Buddy

At this point I think only Pine Barrens was the exception lol

Sol95

Yes the more I think about it this would be the best way. So much to dig through with episode 11, then we get 12/13 together.

UNC

You know, you CAN'T do episode 12 by itself, unless you want to watch the Finale and episode 1 of Season 6 together, but Long Term Parking is a fantastic episode imo.

Kurt Yost

I have to go over some of these episodes, but as of now, I’d love to have the last two episodes as a double drop if possible. Anyone else feel the same?

UNC

just simplify it and always do the season finale, that way it allows you to sum up the season. Picking an individual episode will just put unneeded expectations on the episode when its better to go in with none. This is especially so since sopranos likes to unexpectedly drop a crazy episode out of no where. Picking a specific episode would just ruin that surprise, particularly when it's not a finale.

Mitchell

I would avoid voting for episode 12 in any season. It creates an odd spacing, requiring you to make THREE separate videos (11, 12, and 13). I'm ok with with the season finale being chosen, but I made my vote for EPISODE 5. It is a stand alone episode, as it does interrupt the main plot points created in the first four episodes. The main story begins again in episode 6. I think a lot of people are forgetting what happens in episode 5. The show's writers walk us to a steep cliff, and threaten to push us over. It's a very tense moment. There should be more votes for episode 5.

😂😂

TBR Schmitt

It would actually end up as 11, 12, and 13 stand alone 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

TBR Schmitt

I was thinking that too. E12/E13 would be an amazing combination. And there is so much to unpack from E11.

Marcus Cato

This is a tough one. I also wish there were some way to make sure that episodes 2 and 3 of season 6 are seen together. Edit: I motion that we move this discussion to a forum prohibited to any person with the last name Schmitt so we can all overthink it. 😂

Marcus Cato

Is hard to seperate 12 and 13, both have pivotal plots. Makes sense to watch the final episode on its own and have a season wrap up discussion.

Steve

I'm for just doing the season finales as solo videos.

David Crabtree

Question, asking for a friend: If you want episode 12 as a standalone, wouldn't you also have to watch 13 as a standalone?

John

You should probably just watch it the same way you have been with the season finale on it’s own video.

Tim Raths

Most people are going to pick 12 but don’t listen. They have valid reasons but trust me, you are going to want the time for the last episode. Also you might want to keep in mind that next season, season 6, you’ll see has 21 episodes but that’s not really true. Season 6 was split in two parts and the writers and creator consider them separate seasons(it was done for weird contract purposes. If they called it “Season 7” they’d have to pay the cast & crew more money). So S6 Part 1 has 12 episodes and season 6.5(aka Season 7) has 9 episodes.

Stan the Man

I agree entirely. Watching 12 on its own is gonna ruin the rhythm of the season. I say let these last 2 seasons play out naturally. Both have odd numbers. Watch the finale of each on their own.

Future Boy

With this season, may as well stick with the last episode. Number 12 is hard hitting, but I think it would be an awkward fit since it’s next to last. What else would you do? TWO singles? Or 5-13 and 6-1? Just doesn’t make practical sense.

David Wilkins

Kind of want to pick E11 so we can get E12/E13 on same day tbh.

Andrew

The Finale for sure!
