COMING SOON!

Comments

2nd that, but also for Nick Nolte who I think they last saw him in Tropic Thunder?

Guston Zimasheen

lol I just had a peep at the youtube comments and it's flooded with the same 1962 vs 1991 debate we've been having over here. I really hope they do watch the original one someday.

Paul Cox

It will be fun to see if they recognize any actors from The Great Escape (if any).

Mike LL

Yeah, I was disappointed to see it was the remake.

Catherine LW

Cape Fear? HELL YEAH!

Scott Greene

Garner is the greatest. Ahead of his time, too as he spent most of his career as a major film star AND a major TV star at the same time!

Robert Livingood

Big Up for Cape Fear!!

Alec S

Yay for Cape Fear. The scene with Robert DeNiro and Juliette Lewis is one for the ages. This is one remake that I think is better than the original. This is Martin Scorsese’s straight up horror film. Pay attention and you’ll notice that he uses many slasher movie tropes.

Robert Boyd

Don't remind me of how good that show used to be when I was a kid 😔

Jeffrey Miller

The Great Escape, Bourne and Cape Fear it's going to be a good week

christopher brown

Second that

Florian Meier

The Simpsons kind of ruined Cape Fear, lol

Odd Thomas

Looking forward to "The Great Escape" (1963)

Miles E Coburn

Gonna whip up some Italian food as usual for these Soprano episodes

Sol95

The Great Escape is a classic. Kinda hope you guys do a Steve McQueen series. Most iconic star of the 60's, the" King of Cool" Gotta see Bullit, The Getaway, Thomas Crown Affair, Nevada Smith. etc Couple fun facts about McQueen is that he did a lot of his own stunts and trained with Bruce Lee

Ken Veader

Agreed. Mitchum was icy and evil. DeNiro plays him as a brute.

Paul Cox

4 big yeses! I think Cape Fear is my favourite De Niro film AND my favourite Scorsese film. I watched it many times as a kid and it scared the crap out of me. Looking forward to my first rewatch in about 10 years! The Great Escape is gonna be great fun to watch with you. I'm certain you'll love it. Don't let the long runtime put you off. The time will fly!

Future Boy

So glad you're seeing "The Great Escape!" Obviously, the cast is first-rate, and even includes James Garner, one of the most underappreciated actors in Hollywood history. Sometime y'all need to do "Space Cowboys" (2000), maybe for your Clint Eastwood series. It has Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones, Donald Sutherland, James Garner, and a bunch of others you'd recognize. It's a fun movie!

William 1611

Yes, and I think the original was superior anyway. You can't beat Gregory Peck & Robert Mitchum. And IMHO DeNiro went way over the top in portraying his character as a fanatic, not just a villain.

William 1611

Oh Yes !! What a Week !! Both Films are Classics !! Love De Niro's and Nick Nolte's Performance in Cape Fear, "The Great Escape" is sooo good, Steve MqQueen in his best Role

Florian Meier

Great Escape AND Cape Fear! Great choices for movies this week. As already stated a few times, CF is a remake but the DeNiro version is still pretty top notch

Smooticus

Cape Fear is good.

Alex

(Still hope you'll react to the 1962 version someday, but DeNiro and Scorsese clicks are better for the algorithm.)

Paul Cox

Legends of the Fall (1994) Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins

Jonathan Patrick

Never mind! Appreciate all the hard work!

UNC

Sopranos later today by chance?

UNC

Another stellar week with Cape Fear. Just so you know that one is a remake of a 1962 film.

Tim Raths

The Great Escape is such a terrific movie! Very different from the other war films you've done on the channel, but no less exciting and entertaining. (And now you'll get why that bit in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood was so funny...)

Steven Montano

Oh wow, surprise Cape Fear drop!
