Oldboy ftw!

Trepid

Wow, those are all great movies. It would be cool to see your reaction to Yojimbo, because it's based on American Westerns and then it in turn became the basis for Sergio Leone's 'Man With No Name' westerns. The best movie on this list is Seven Samurai, so you better start there.

Neal Romanek

Don't ever watch City of God. I watched it once and the movie scared the crap out of me and not in the fun way like Jason or Michael Myers.

Paul

Run Lola run is an absolute classic movie!! Soundtrack is dope too πŸ‘ŒπŸΎ

Tim McKnight

Watched Barry Lyndon (again) recently. Damn, but that movie has aged so well. Still the most beautifully shot movie I've ever seen

Smooticus

I couldn't decide between Old Boy and Seven Samurai, and chose Seven Samurai. haha

David Anderson

+1 for Brotherhood of the Wolf. It’s in a class by itself.

David Wilkins

Would love to see Brotherhood of the Wolf on your next foreign poll

Joseph Tamburo

Belle De Jour is good

Ken Veader

Words will not express how happy I would be if you reacted to "Gojira", 1954 movie otherwise known in the States as Godzilla. I'd advise against the American version "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" as the movie loses something and becomes too exposition heavy. Also I you like it you could one day do a following viewing with "Return of Godzilla" from 1984. Would be a nice duo watch.

Robert Cintron

I remember Daniel saying that Saving Private Ryan was one of all time favorite movies. "A Very Long Engagement" (2004), also directed by Jeunet of "Amelie", has epic battle scenes set in WWI with a very strong love story.

Erwin Quiachon

We gotta find a way to get Amadeus and Berry Lyndon reacted to, maybe a "Histocial" genre poll. There's a lot of movies that don't fit into the classical genre categories but are some of the greatest ever. Voted Seven Samurai because it's close with Oldboy (also great, and maybe a better reaction), however, considering you loved the spaghetti westerns so much, Yojimbo would be an excellent choice it would be interesting to see your reaction to the plot. Plus, it's an amazing performance by Toshiro Mifune who is also is Seven Samurai. if the poll wasn't so close, i'd vote Amelie, it's not like anything you've seen on the channel yet and it's one of my favorites. Super charming and funny. Plus the director's other movies he co-directed with Cano are great too. Delicatessen and City of lost children

bosho11

If you start binging on Kurosawa, my favorite is "Throne of Blood" (1957). It's the samurai version of Macbeth. Coppola credits one scene from Throne of Blood as the inspiration for how he filmed the death of Sonny Corleone. You'll know which scene it is if you ever watch it. The whole movie is under two hours and moves faster than Kurosawa's other films.

Erwin Quiachon

The Sea Inside (2004) with Javier Bardem would be great for a reaction

Will Zamora

Out of this list, Seven Samurai and Yojimbo are the best by far. The other films on this poll pale in comparison.

Mike Tocci

Handmaiden was WILD!! Need to check out your other suggestions--haven't heard of them before.

Elisa Pfau

Here's some more recommendation's for any upcoming Foreign Film Poll. Burning (2018), Chunking Express (1994), Handmaiden (2016), High & Low (1963), Incendies (2010), A Prophet (2009), Shoplifters (2018), The Vanishing (1988) & I Saw the Devil (2010). All are fantastic films and would probably be great reaction videos.

Ryan Williams

Either of the Kurosawa films would be an excellent choice, especially since you've seen Eastwood's versions of them. But some dark-horse candidates might be "Belle de Jour" (1967), "Persona" (1966), and "Diva"(1981.) "Diva" is my favorite, a perfect example of French New Wave, and is funny, suspenseful, and features a really clever plot.

William 1611

If you're going to watch Kurosawa, treat yourself to some Bergman, too. They were brothers from other mothers. I'd recommend "Seventh Seal" (1957), "Smiles Of A Summer Night" (1955), and "Fanny and Alexander" (1982).

Erwin Quiachon

City of God simply cannot be missed. That film has no competition.

Elisa Pfau

City of God is criminally underrated. Seven Samurai deserves its flowers but hoping you give it a chance, too.

Sol95

Just plan to watch all of these

Drzergberg

Life is Beautiful is amazing

James

Aaaaaahhh! Seven Samurai!! Once again I voted for several on this list, but really hoping that one wins this go around. A Japanese director heavily influenced by American Westerns makes a movie that influences Westerns. Magnificent Seven, Fistful of Dollars, and For a Few Dollars More, are all remakes of Kurosawa films.

Smooticus

I strongly recommend that if you're going to watch Yojimbo, which is great, you follow it up with its sequel, Sanjuro, which might be even better.

Ron Moses

Please include Cinema Paradiso next time

Eric Frazee

I was just watching part of that thinking it would be a great reaction flick!

Marcus Cato

......and Fucking Γ…mΓ₯l/Show me love πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

BjΓΆrn Karlsson

Some more foreign contenders to react to: Ondskan (2003) LΓ₯t den rΓ€tte komma in (2008) Jagten (2012)

David Lengyel

High and Low (1963) is a masterpiece from one of the greatest directors of all time, Akira Kurosawa.

kbobravo

Waking Ned Devine!!!!

ZoeLo

Amelie is one of the greatest films of all time so I voted that

Nick Sneddon

I knew Old Boy would be a runner haha. I actually haven't seen it yet but everyone I know who has, flips out when I say I haven't. As far as movies I have seen, I gotta vote for City Of God, the style is just so cool and I'm a sucker for a true story; and Seven Samurai, it's just such a badass story, and it's not too many foreign black and white films I've watched and loved, which is my bad, but I have to recommend it.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

I wish "RRR" got more love. It never fails to knock reactors (and other first-time viewers) on their ass just from the sheer amount of unexpectedly epic-levels of WTF.

Thomas Yanez

RUN LOLA RUN!!!! :)

Philip Alan

I picked OLD BOY. I apologize in advance. That flick, for real, will fuck you up. All the way up. And then when you think about it, it will fuck you up some more.

Philip Davetas

My I suggest the 1985 ramen western Tampopo

J.C.

I hope you guys one day check out OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies starring Jean Dujardin. It’s a hilarious French comedy. I guess you could compare it to Austin Powers, but much funnier IMO.

Tommy Richards

So excited for the foreign film reactions! Amores Perros (2000) Los Lunes Al Sol (2002) Mar Adentro (2004) El Laberinto Del Fauno (2006) La Piel Que Habito (2011)

Domino

Hoping for Yojimbo or Seven Samurai! Yojimbo I think would be a particularly interesting video considering the films relationship to A Fistful of Dollars! 😁😁

Brent

The Host(2013) was filmed in Shiprock NM The Host(2006) is from South Korea Which one is on the ballot?

mikethemotormouth

Run Lola Run was pretty cool from what I remember

Jonathan Patrick

There's like 6 on there that would be great to react to, but Oldboy would probably be my favorite by a smidge.
