2023-02-07 04:07:26 +0000 UTCAlmost a week into voting, this is a 3-way race between Clerks, Raising Arizona, and There's Something About Mary. All of them making it to the schedule is inevitable (though I think TSAM's reputation as a classic comedy is based on two specific scenes and the rest is eye-rolly Farrelly Bros fare). If it ends up being a tie, plz do Clerks and Raising Arizona first. :)
Paul Cox
2023-02-05 07:26:50 +0000 UTCThe Pink Panther movies are great up to a point. Peter Sellers is an amazing actor and plays the bumbling detective to perfection.

2023-02-02 10:58:26 +0000 UTCHereβs to hoping that Raising Arizona will bring you back around to the Coen brothers. And Iβm still waiting for Blood Simple. πΆπ¬ It was mentioned once, casually, as a potential for after the holidays.

2023-01-31 08:00:40 +0000 UTCI hope Raising Arizona wins, its a classic and Nic Cage . Caddyshack is a defintely an old school comedy film that every fan of comedy should see at least once and speaking of old school, Old school is definitely funny as hell

2023-01-30 16:32:04 +0000 UTCIf you're looking for a good comedy you can't go wrong with "Short Circuit".
Gratch... just Gratch
2023-01-30 16:29:01 +0000 UTCComing To America, Friday, Rush Hour, Liar Liar, The 40-year Old Virgin, Ali G Indahouse, Borat. Some of my fav comedies.
Shehab Dawoud
2023-01-30 15:48:00 +0000 UTCI understand why "Caddyshack" is on the list, because it's such a classic, but another Rodney Dangerfield movie you'd love is "Back to School." It's hysterical. The original "The In-Laws" (1979) with Peter Falk and Alan Arkin is great, but avoid the remake. My most enthusiastic recommendation, which I'll continue to recommend until the cows come home, is "Into the Night" (1985) a weird screwball suspense/romance starring Jeff Goldblum and Michelle Pfeiffer, directed by John Landis. It has a jam-packed cast, including Dan Akroyd, David Bowie, and Carl Perkins, Elvis' predecessor. Please give it a try!

2023-01-30 15:37:43 +0000 UTCYβall couldβve split these in multiple polls. So many good ones. Raising Arizona is an 80βs classic. Dazed and Confused is a cult classic, Naked Gun 2 is hilarious. My vote is Raising Arizona.
Rudy Hernandez
2023-01-30 15:29:08 +0000 UTCIf comedy/horror can be listed as comedies in these polls, then I highly recommend Tucker and Dale vs Evil (2010) and Jennifer's Body (2009)--both had me cry/laughing when I watched them
Elisa Pfau
2023-01-30 14:42:23 +0000 UTCNext time, consider Pure Luck (1991) with Martin Short and Danny Glover. And Sgt. Bilko (1996) with Steve Martin and Dan Aykroyd
Olivier Fortier
2023-01-30 12:29:12 +0000 UTCNaked Gun 2 1/2, because the first one is the video that made me discover your channel :)

2023-01-30 11:53:18 +0000 UTCSpinal Tap needs to be doing better than it currently is.

2023-01-30 09:53:04 +0000 UTCI would love to see someone do a reaction to I Love You, Man (2009) at some point.

2023-01-30 07:27:41 +0000 UTCRandom comedy suggestions assuming you've never watched them or at least one of you hasn't, bedazzled - Brendan Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley, Beverly hills ninja- Chris Farley, dumb and dumber, and liar liar goes without saying but Jim Carrey lol

2023-01-30 06:21:55 +0000 UTCUpvote for "Three Amigos" and "Zoolander".
Thomas Yanez
2023-01-30 06:00:14 +0000 UTCZoolander is genius, the opposite of dumb, the humour is in it's mockery of dumb. It's satirical.
Aaron Barlow
2023-01-30 05:59:20 +0000 UTCThe poll tool needs a "select all" option for lists like this one.
Thomas Yanez
2023-01-30 05:58:26 +0000 UTCNaked gun 2.5!!! The drug dealers bit remains one of the funniest lines in comedy.
Aaron Barlow
2023-01-30 05:58:19 +0000 UTCYes my sister told me many many years ago she got to see the actual house. As a kid I was blown away. Always been my fave comedy ever. Lol.
Jonathan Patrick
2023-01-30 05:54:28 +0000 UTCThe Burbs! Yes! Filmed entirely on the Universal backlot.

2023-01-30 05:51:55 +0000 UTCThis is one of those ALL polls, just watch them all, you'll enjoy them. That said, man it is really hard for me to narrow it, but Clerks is just a personal favorite and a testament to what motivated and creative film makers can do with some credit cards. Dazed and Confused is a favorite too, and those two movies are kind of connected because Richard Linklater directed Dazed, and his first movie was Slacker, which inspired Kevin Smith to make Clerks. But then There's Something About Mary, and there really is, watched it recently and it's still so damn funny. Raising Arizona is one of the first movies I remember watching as a kid and thinking, "this is so weird, I love it". This Is Spinal Tap is an absolute classic. Oh just watch them all lol, not all at once, but you owe it to yourselves to watch them at some point π
Joe D. MacGuffinstuff
2023-01-30 05:50:56 +0000 UTCDude, it's gotta be MARY. No fucking way it can lose.

2023-01-30 05:11:49 +0000 UTCThat movie came out 36 years ago, and I'm not even exaggerating when I say at least one line from it pops into my head EVERY DAY. Fortunately, there are so many, so the rotation stays healthy lol.

2023-01-30 05:07:30 +0000 UTCPraying for Raising Arizona...or as I keep saying, chronological Coens!
Tyler Foster
2023-01-30 05:02:49 +0000 UTCMight be the first time I voted for almost every single choice Next time how about Airheads(1994), Kung Pow Enter the Fist(2002), or Three Amigos(1986)? Also in the Tropic Thunder reaction, it was disclosed Sam likes stupid comedy. Hard to get dumber than Zoolander(2001)
mikethemotormouth
2023-01-30 05:00:09 +0000 UTCSo many great movies in this poll. I went with Spinal Tap. That shouldnβt be a surprise based on my username.
Korny
2023-01-30 04:59:41 +0000 UTCI hope Clerks wins. Some Kevin Smith classics in those lines of films, AKA the View Askewniverse. lol
EdmanXERO
2023-01-30 04:56:22 +0000 UTCDazed & Confused is probably my favorite movie ever. I wouldn't call it a comedy, it's more of a coming of age film, with levity and natural comedic moments throughout.
David Crabtree
2023-01-30 04:55:36 +0000 UTCI was thinking the same thing.
Paul Cox
2023-01-30 04:54:32 +0000 UTCCrocodile Dundee. They just don't make em like that anymore. Also like to recommend "The Burbs" for a comedy (Tom Hanks)
Jonathan Patrick
2023-01-30 04:54:05 +0000 UTCRaising Arizona should walk this. Possibly my favorite movie of all time. There's nothing like it. Not even other Coen Bros movies. Competition's stiff, though. As long as Caddyshack doesn't win, I'll live. :)
Paul Cox
2023-01-30 04:54:01 +0000 UTCDazed and Confused is a must see, I wouldnβt necessarily call it a comedy even though comedy is an element in the movie.
Joseph Rodriguez
2023-01-30 04:53:03 +0000 UTCItβs time to start diving into Kevin Smithβs films with Clerks.
