Comments

One of my favorite comedy series is the entire pink panther series

darrell40

Spinal Tap is essential.

Neal Romanek

I'd like to see them react to "Coming to America", but only if they watch "Trading Places" first...

Thomas Yanez

Trust me please do Theres Something About Mary!!! Sam just ask Dan. Im sure he will tell you its hilarious and so well worth it!!!

Demos Samolis

Almost a week into voting, this is a 3-way race between Clerks, Raising Arizona, and There's Something About Mary. All of them making it to the schedule is inevitable (though I think TSAM's reputation as a classic comedy is based on two specific scenes and the rest is eye-rolly Farrelly Bros fare). If it ends up being a tie, plz do Clerks and Raising Arizona first. :)

Paul Cox

The Pink Panther movies are great up to a point. Peter Sellers is an amazing actor and plays the bumbling detective to perfection.

Korny

Cheech n chong up in smoke is hilarous and not a lot of people are reacting to it

mike baker

Here’s to hoping that Raising Arizona will bring you back around to the Coen brothers. And I’m still waiting for Blood Simple. 😢🎬 It was mentioned once, casually, as a potential for after the holidays.

David Wilkins

Theres Something About Mary!!! Hands down!!!

Demos Samolis

Easy Money (1983), Back to School (1986), Weekend at Bernie's (1989), Nothing to Lose (1997)

Mike the Ginger

I hope Raising Arizona wins, its a classic and Nic Cage . Caddyshack is a defintely an old school comedy film that every fan of comedy should see at least once and speaking of old school, Old school is definitely funny as hell

Ken Veader

Would love to see Dogma

Saraliese

If you guys haven’t seen it yet you should add The Blues Brothers to your next comedy poll.

Tim Raths

Me too

christopher brown

Have you two seen the original Teenage mutant ninja turtles the movie (1990) it's so good. the costumes and animatronics are amazing, plus it's so different from the superhero movies we're used to today. if you haven't seen it or it's been awhile, consider adding it to the list

bosho11

Love Short circuit

bosho11

I’m with William on the 1979 version of The In-Laws. Serpentine cracks me up to this day.

Korny

Suggestions for the next Comedy Poll are "Beverly Hills Cop", "Coming to America" and "Jumpin Jack Flash" , Love all 3 !!!

Florian Meier

πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ™ awesome!

dieselbeast

Short Circuit and Brewster's Millions (1985) are good comedies

christopher brown

I love Bedazzled! I need to ask Daniel if he’s seen it -Sam

TBR Schmitt

If you're looking for a good comedy you can't go wrong with "Short Circuit".

Gratch... just Gratch

Coming To America, Friday, Rush Hour, Liar Liar, The 40-year Old Virgin, Ali G Indahouse, Borat. Some of my fav comedies.

Shehab Dawoud

I understand why "Caddyshack" is on the list, because it's such a classic, but another Rodney Dangerfield movie you'd love is "Back to School." It's hysterical. The original "The In-Laws" (1979) with Peter Falk and Alan Arkin is great, but avoid the remake. My most enthusiastic recommendation, which I'll continue to recommend until the cows come home, is "Into the Night" (1985) a weird screwball suspense/romance starring Jeff Goldblum and Michelle Pfeiffer, directed by John Landis. It has a jam-packed cast, including Dan Akroyd, David Bowie, and Carl Perkins, Elvis' predecessor. Please give it a try!

William 1611

Y’all could’ve split these in multiple polls. So many good ones. Raising Arizona is an 80’s classic. Dazed and Confused is a cult classic, Naked Gun 2 is hilarious. My vote is Raising Arizona.

Rudy Hernandez

If comedy/horror can be listed as comedies in these polls, then I highly recommend Tucker and Dale vs Evil (2010) and Jennifer's Body (2009)--both had me cry/laughing when I watched them

Elisa Pfau

Next time, consider Pure Luck (1991) with Martin Short and Danny Glover. And Sgt. Bilko (1996) with Steve Martin and Dan Aykroyd

Olivier Fortier

Naked Gun 2 1/2, because the first one is the video that made me discover your channel :)

Olivier Fortier

More great choices!

Smooticus

Spinal Tap needs to be doing better than it currently is.

Ron Moses

Another one - Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is an absolute classic with Michael Cain and Steve Martin

Alec S

I would love to see someone do a reaction to I Love You, Man (2009) at some point.

kbobravo

Random comedy suggestions assuming you've never watched them or at least one of you hasn't, bedazzled - Brendan Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley, Beverly hills ninja- Chris Farley, dumb and dumber, and liar liar goes without saying but Jim Carrey lol

dieselbeast

Upvote for "Three Amigos" and "Zoolander".

Thomas Yanez

Zoolander is genius, the opposite of dumb, the humour is in it's mockery of dumb. It's satirical.

Aaron Barlow

The poll tool needs a "select all" option for lists like this one.

Thomas Yanez

Naked gun 2.5!!! The drug dealers bit remains one of the funniest lines in comedy.

Aaron Barlow

Yes my sister told me many many years ago she got to see the actual house. As a kid I was blown away. Always been my fave comedy ever. Lol.

Jonathan Patrick

The Burbs! Yes! Filmed entirely on the Universal backlot.

James Willingham III

This is one of those ALL polls, just watch them all, you'll enjoy them. That said, man it is really hard for me to narrow it, but Clerks is just a personal favorite and a testament to what motivated and creative film makers can do with some credit cards. Dazed and Confused is a favorite too, and those two movies are kind of connected because Richard Linklater directed Dazed, and his first movie was Slacker, which inspired Kevin Smith to make Clerks. But then There's Something About Mary, and there really is, watched it recently and it's still so damn funny. Raising Arizona is one of the first movies I remember watching as a kid and thinking, "this is so weird, I love it". This Is Spinal Tap is an absolute classic. Oh just watch them all lol, not all at once, but you owe it to yourselves to watch them at some point πŸ‘

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

Dude, it's gotta be MARY. No fucking way it can lose.

Philip Davetas

if u want to see a good funny old comedy cheech n chongs up in smoke or action navy seals

David w ketcham

Oh, nice! The Birdcage (1996) The Full Monty (1997) Nothing to Lose (1997)

Domino

That movie came out 36 years ago, and I'm not even exaggerating when I say at least one line from it pops into my head EVERY DAY. Fortunately, there are so many, so the rotation stays healthy lol.

Paul Cox

Praying for Raising Arizona...or as I keep saying, chronological Coens!

Tyler Foster

Might be the first time I voted for almost every single choice Next time how about Airheads(1994), Kung Pow Enter the Fist(2002), or Three Amigos(1986)? Also in the Tropic Thunder reaction, it was disclosed Sam likes stupid comedy. Hard to get dumber than Zoolander(2001)

mikethemotormouth

So many great movies in this poll. I went with Spinal Tap. That shouldn’t be a surprise based on my username.

Korny

I hope Clerks wins. Some Kevin Smith classics in those lines of films, AKA the View Askewniverse. lol

EdmanXERO

Dazed & Confused is probably my favorite movie ever. I wouldn't call it a comedy, it's more of a coming of age film, with levity and natural comedic moments throughout.

David Crabtree

I was thinking the same thing.

Paul Cox

Crocodile Dundee. They just don't make em like that anymore. Also like to recommend "The Burbs" for a comedy (Tom Hanks)

Jonathan Patrick

Raising Arizona should walk this. Possibly my favorite movie of all time. There's nothing like it. Not even other Coen Bros movies. Competition's stiff, though. As long as Caddyshack doesn't win, I'll live. :)

Paul Cox

Dazed and Confused is a must see, I wouldn’t necessarily call it a comedy even though comedy is an element in the movie.

Joseph Rodriguez

It’s time to start diving into Kevin Smith’s films with Clerks.

Tim Raths

Need some more Marge Gunderson? Raising Arizona.
