Another great reaction. I played the game, and i'm loving this show. It's one of the best, if not THE best video game adaptation so far.

2023-01-29 00:44:25 +0000 UTCI was wondering how they were gonna handle the Museum part because the game is a little different about how it handles those things. The game has this mode where Joel concentrates and can kind of hear where the “things” that make those sounds are and you hear like a heartbeat sound while you’re doing it. I dunno if anyone else noticed but it seems that this was tied into the soundtrack. Really marvelously well done.

I wonder if they’ll do something like that in this series; imagine Joel and Ellie in a basement or something and their flashlights go out and all you hear are the sound of, uh, the unnamed blind things that go click-click-click.

2023-01-28 10:41:59 +0000 UTCI really dig this show. I played the game briefly when it came out because I'm a huge UNCHARTED fan, but I couldn't get into this one. It's not how I choose to game. I like more fast paced arcade-y stuff, but I was really looking forward to this show. The one thing that stood out in this episode and it's not that big of a deal, but Ellie mocking a customer at the hotel desk took me out a little. I just didn't get how she could make that behavioral reference when she grew up without TV. I get she reads books, but still, it was just a little thing that bugged me a bit. Side note. Joel sounds an awful lot like Nathan Drake.

Gave me the chills in a way that reminded me of the scene in Chernobyl, episode 1, when they look down into the reactor and it's just pure dread and all I can think is, "this is bad, this is really, REALLY fuckin bad...."
