The Sopranos Season 4 Episode 1 'For All Debts Public and Private' Full TV Reaction!!

Strangely, I've flown IcelandAir several times, and I've never found their flight attendants to be particularly warm and friendly. (Clutches pearls) Who knew?!

Robert Livingood

The cop DID kill Chris's father -- if you listen as he breaks away from the stairs he continuously says "I'm SORRY, I'm sorry, please, I'm sorry." He wouldn't be apologizing if he didn't do anything because he already knew he was dead, so he was trying EVERYTHING

Dominic Matich

Georgie also needs to stop wasting ice! Tony beating the crap out of Georgie, usually while strippers watch open-mouthed in the background, is one of the highlights of this show! "Conserve!"

Future Boy

I also feel like they made the cop's murder feel really underwhelming. It was so much like many of the murders we've seen before and it didn't really make Christopher much happier. He has little or no memories of his dad so he's murdering a guy in large part because his culture says he should.

Jeffrey Miller

David Chase has said that the Quasimodo scene is his favorite in the show. Pretty good pick lol I liked that there’s mystery over whether the cop actually killed Dickie Moltisanti, but like Christopher said it doesn’t really matter. I think it’s more likely that He didn’t kill him, and that Tony just wanted him killed, and made up the lie about his father almost in a ploy to manipulate him to keep Christopher closer. He makes it seem like he’s doing him a favor but he wants to make him a puppet to carry out his orders to avoid jail. Kind of like with Junior, he declines to help him until his own self is in danger with the FBI informant, and offers to buy property from him under the guise of helping him out. Like you pointed out, money is at the root of this episode. There was a recession shortly after 9/11 and people were anxious. Tony was worried too but he mostly just wants to keep living in decadence. On the subject of decadence, note how Chris is shooting up in one scene and it cuts to Tony making a sundae in the next scene. It’s a commentary on how each person has their own way of continuing their unhealthy excessive ways. The first 3 seasons made you envy these characters and their lavish lifestyles, but starting now we’re seeing them in a more unflattering light as they struggle with their personal demons. The reason Paulie is in jail to start the season is because actor Tony Sirico was recovering from a surgery, so he’ll be sidelined for a while but he'll still be around. The Sopranos’ dark humor is on point with Chris and his image of his father dying while bringing him a crib. Instead, it was something as mundane as a TV tray, but like Christopher said in Season 1, the “regularness of life” is too much to him, so he twists it so that the TV trays were specifically for him to romanticize it a bit. One more thing, I feel bad for laughing when Georgie gets his ass kicked in this episode. But he does need to know when to shut up lol.

Totally understand Sam's reaction to Ralph and Janice. Both actors do such a good job at coming off as gross people.

Carlos Hurtado

Your wife’s reaction to Janis coming onto Ralphie in the bathroom was priceless…her face should be the new “yuk” emoji

Sopranos Mondays are the cure for the Sunday scaries. Can't wait to get home and whip up some Italian food and watch these reactions.
