COMING SOON!

Sequels week! The Enforcer will be up tomorrow with Sopranos :)

COMING SOON!

Comments

It’s not TV, it’s HBO. 🙂

Nick of Time

Imagine thinking Black History Month is 'political'. And then doubling down with a slippery slope argument. How does context and history work? lol

JayWantsACat

Don't let it being a video game adaptation stop you. It's been so good so far.

JayWantsACat

Ive never played the game and the show is amazing so you should be good!

JayWantsACat

Yes!! Moonlight is tied for first or a close second for me. That scene toward the end in the diner is one of my all time favorite scenes in any film.

Elisa Pfau

Ooooh, Moonlight! I think Moonlight is my favorite one from your (great) list..

Lola Lirola

Agreed…I hope Get Out could get a reaction from TBR and Sam if they haven’t seen it yet 🙏

Elisa Pfau

Get Out (2017), Moonlight (2016), Sorry to Bother You (2018), Candyman (2021 remake), Fruitvale Station (2013), Da 5 Bloods (2020), Juice (1992), Judas and the Black Messiah (2021), BlacKkKlansman (2018), What's Love Got to Do with It? (1993), Beasts of the Southern Wild (2012) All absolute winners…hard to choose favorites with this list but Get Out might be my favorite.

Elisa Pfau

I agree with Shehab, I don't see the problem others are making it to be. Movies are being suggested and for a month that celebrates Black History. They don't have to watch all Black History movies during the month, just asking them to watch at least 1 of them should it win in a poll as with every poll that's on here. There's absolutely no reason to be rude to other people about their requests.

James Whalen

Oh, man! I love those FRIDAY movies. Me and my son watched FRIDAY AFTER NEXT every xXxmas! "Tastes so good, it'll make you wanna slap yo mama!"

Philip Davetas

Also, they have done "theme" movies before: not long ago, they had a "New Year's films" pick, they've had Valentine's picks... They dedicate the whole month of October to horror movies, and the whole month of December to Christmas ones (which not every religion celebrates). So the "precedent", such as it is, already is there. And the content of this channel is already 95% stories about white men; it wouldn't be bad to have some variety. Plus, the films recommended are really great ones!

Lola Lirola

Man, I forgot about that movie. I love DISORGANIZED CRIME. Written by the same dude who did STAKEOUT. Lots of great actors in that.

Philip Davetas

Honestly, has no one thought if a suggested movie isn't watched by Dan and Sam it's because they (both of them) have already seen it? Why read something into it with no evidence of bias?

Miles E Coburn

So much aggression. What is this, Facebook?

James Willingham III

Unless you wanna be spoiled, I'd stay away from watching the cut scenes. 2 episodes in, and there's not many changes that I've noticed. I'd hazard a guess that while some changes will be made, the core story and plot points will remain the same.

JG

Like I said, I've suggested it during other months, this is just another time to suggest it, and one that fits better. If they don't watch it, they don't watch it. I'm not gonna cry. What others choose to suggest is none of my business. I couldn't care less. Dan and Sam will make a decision and we should respect it. I will. But you and those other troublemakers are missing the fact that is not some average movie with a certain agenda, this is one of the greatest movies of all time. That's the main reason why I want them to watch it, not politics. If you can't understand that, then I don't want to waste my time arguing with you. It shouldn't be that hard to understand. This became divisive because some people can't hide their sick views. I never brought politics into it.

Shehab Dawoud

Ok…if it’s not about politics like you said, then why are you requesting it jump the queue and be shown on February during Black History Month? If they say yes, then what about when someone requests a movie be shown on International Holocaust Day, Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation etc? Where does it end?…. That’s how it will set a bad precedent, because they would be kowtowing to people’s different political ideologies instead of releasing their selections in their own organic fashion. Do you see how divisive this thread has already become because of your insistence they watch it in February? Leave your political views out of this channel.

JG

@JG Not at all. If they don't react to it, I'm just going to assume that it's because they want to carry on with their schedule that they had planned, which is totally fair. Why would I view them as bigots when they've done nothing to even insinuate that? I believe they both come from different ethnicities as well. Politics doesn't come into it at all. It's a request for an all-time great movie by an all-time great director, featuring an all-time great actor, about one of the most important figures in recent history, regardless of what you think of him. How it can set a bad precedent is beyond me. And if people want to make more out of it than what it really is, then they got some issues to deal with, and maybe they're the ones who need to see Dr. Melfi.

Shehab Dawoud

I feel like you’re putting Sam and Daniel in a difficult position with your request. If they say yes, then it sets a bad precedent. If no, then they’re unjustly viewed as “bigots” and all the cancel culture BS that comes with it. It’s probably best to let this one die as mixing entertainment and politics is always a bad idea.

JG

Jesus Christ you again! Just stop! You're so desperate for attention right? Whining, crying, and demanding that Sam and Dan watch your boring movies hahah! And dont say because of black history month. Your just using that as a excuse so they can watch your boring movies.

SGato!

You are genuinely sick in the head. I recommended a film due to the fact that we are approaching a month that acknowledges one of the most oppressed set of people ever and their struggle. I’m not into politics, I’ve never voted in my life and I barely talk about it. How do you expect people to react when you refer to it as a nonsense month? Seriously, seek help or keep quiet.

Shehab Dawoud

I’m not bringing politics into it. I recommended some films in relation to an important month. Nothing more. The fact that bigots like yourself can’t keep their ass-backwards views to themselves has nothing to do with me. I deleted the other comment because this platform shouldn’t be used for nonsense like that. Unfortunately you’ve started again.

Shehab Dawoud

No, mate. I’m Arabic. So I know about being a minority and being persecuted. Don’t talk about something you’ll never understand.

Shehab Dawoud

I’m not a victim, mate, nor am I acting like it. I’m not even Afro-American or black. I’m just a decent human being, or at least trying to be.

Shehab Dawoud

You guys gotta watch at least one of Michelle Yeohs earlier films when she was in her prime. I gotta recommend Supercop aka Police Story 3 starring her and Jackie Chan, she stole the film from him, it's awesome and incredible stunt work

Ken Veader

@Ken It IS based on its own merit. I’ve recommended it before, even outside of February. I’m just recommending it this time because it’s fitting. A “nonsense themed month”? Ladies and gentlemen, we got us another one.

Shehab Dawoud

“Shaft” (2000-crime/drama) “48 Hours” (1982-action/comedy) “The Color Purple” (1985-drama) “BlacKkKlansman” (2018-crime/drama) “Dope” (2018-teen comedy) “Blade” (1998-Marvel/action) “Keanu” (2016-comedy) “A Soldier’s Story” (1984-war/mystery)

Mr. Writhms

Reposting this because my initial comment lead to a thread that degenerated into nonsense because of one deranged individual.. but here we go again: Given that Black History Month is coming up, it would be cool if you watched some films with African-American/black themes, storylines and actors. The obvious one which I suggested earlier is 'Malcolm X', Spike Lee's masterpiece, and Denzel's greatest performance. We've had 0 Spike Lee Joints and only 2 (?) Denzel films on the channel in little over two years. That number is too low imo. Some other ones which aren't about slavery/civil rights: 'Do The Right Thing', 'Boyz N The Hood', 'Friday'.

Shehab Dawoud

I sure hope you wouldn't need to or else they totally screwed up!

Jeffrey Miller

I watched The last Of Us and honestly I think I'll just start again with the reaction videos because I wasn't really paying attention.

Jeffrey Miller

Sopranos AND The Last Of Us?...You guys currently have the BEST TV Show reaction line up on YouTube! Keep em coming! :)

JG

No way you are a man! Hahahah! Anyway stop telling people what to do!! Like telling/crying to Sam and Dan to delete me, because i hurt your interests hahah and btw i got like 3 patreon accounts i can always come back on a different name hahahh

SGato!

@H Mase First of all, genius, I'm a man. Second, I never demanded anything. I wrote it as a suggestion. If you saw it as a demand, then it's because there's something wrong with you, which the rest of your comments have confirmed.

Shehab Dawoud

First of all Internet warrior Paul! Who was talking to you? Second @Shehab in here first message she didn't recommend a movie but She almost demanded that Sam an Dan to watch Malcolm X because here special month was coming. And BTW I can guarantee you that a lot of people, dont care. In a scale of 1 to 100 i give the care group a number 3.

SGato!

"There are polls for that!" Where do you think the movies in the polls come from, smart guy? Suggestions on Patreon and YouTube, that's where. "Just because I don't care about black history month." What you said the first time is "Who cares about Black History Month!" I guarantee you, people care.

Paul Cox

I’m glad you’re starting The Last of Us. I’ve been hearing a lot about it, but hadn’t yet checked it out.

David Wilkins

Dan and Sam decide to remove you? Why? Just because i don't care about black history month i should be removed? What kinda fucked up dictator shit is this! Not everyone has to like or have the same interest as you, Ms Narcissist! Look at here Ms Narcissist,, i know you want me to care, But i don't! I care not about black history month and never will! Like i dont care about Easter or thanksgiving or whatever made up human special occasions. So go cry in some corner or whatever!

SGato!

How arrogant and narcissistic of you to tell Dan and Sam to change there whole reaction schedule and put your favorite movies instead, There are polls for that!

SGato!

@Paul Cox Of course those types of films should get watched throughout the year and not just in February. I'd love for them to watch films like Do The Right Thing, Boyz N The Hood, and even something lighter like Friday. I was just recommending X now because we're so close to February and it's a good way to start and hopefully continue throughout the year. As for H Mase, he just exposed what kind of human being he is. Not much more to add.

Shehab Dawoud

I kinda get it, I've made a similar argument in the past about how black film gets shoved into February if it gets reacted to at all. There's a rich history of black-centered stories, including those that aren't focused on slavery and civil rights, that deserve reactions like everything else and should be reacted to throughout the year instead of using February as a hard spotlight. But, to say no one cares about Black History Month? That's not a good look, H Mase.

Paul Cox

Ooh yay! Young Guns II! It's one of those weird ones that definitely improves on the original, which was already pretty damn awesome.

Rue

@H Mase With all due respect, I hope Dan and Sam decide to remove you from this community. You might as well be wearing a white sheet with a comment like that and people like you shouldn't be in here.

Shehab Dawoud

Just make a Denzel Washington film recommendation,. Who cares about Black History Month!

SGato!

Nobody ever mentions Virtuosity. Denzel chasing an insane, unstoppable Russel Crowe.🤘 Last movie I saw him in was The Magnificent Seven remake a few years ago and that's probably the last GREAT western we've gotten. That was also James Horner's last written score before he died. 😞

ShadowVessel π

Yaasss! More Lethal Weapon and Young Guns! Imo, Young Guns 2 is one of those sequels that surpass the original...like Lethal Weapon 2.

ShadowVessel π

Disorganized Crime is a hilarious heist movie with Lou Diamond Phillips

ShadowVessel π

Yeah, I think ‘Training Day’ is not only one of his strongest performances, but it’s one of the best examples of its type. The precise genre is slightly elusive, but suffice to say it’s a cop/corrupt cop story. But no aspect of it dumbed down the way so many often are.

David Wilkins

Before you watch Last of Us you need to make sure you have some cordyceps supplement on hand to take while you're watching the show :)

Alex

No. The story is largely the same, but with some differences. I’d say it really just depends on how you want to experience the story, as a passive watcher or an interacting player. Both ways are excellent. I’ve played the games and watched the first couple episodes, and I’d say just watch the show first and then play the games.

Nick of Time

Watching the cutscenes is not the same as playing the game. If you're interested in the game's story I would play the game. But I really doubt it matters. They are re-telling the story and playing the game first will spoil it for you.

Alex

Oh thanks!

Mark M

Nope, you can go in blind. if you are interested in the video game's story, you can watch all the cutscenes on YouTube. there's video that includes all the cutscenes and some gameplay in between for context. it is a few hours long. i sent it to my dad a month before the show came out. he said it took him 3 sessions to watch the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8oAOhfUN8I

Carlos Hurtado

Do I need to play The Last of Us before watching the show?

Mark M

Nice! The Last of Us and Lethal Weapon 3. Hoping for Wednesday reaction!

Marcio T

The schedules continue to be fantastic. Looking forward to everything! Since it's sequels week, I have to mention my favourite sequel of all time: Psycho 2! I really hope you get to it this year. It would be fitting, since it came out in 1983. 40th anniversary! I think I know your tastes pretty well by now, and I'm sure you would both love it.

Future Boy

Three O'Clock High!! Probably in my top 3 high school films, after Pump up the Volume and Heathers.

Future Boy

Another great Johnny Lawrence moment!

Marcus Cato

Would love to see reactions to Raising Arizona, Miller's Crossing, and Barton Fink.

Marcus Cato

I hope you’ve watched more Denzel than that.. the action flicks are some of his more mediocre ones imo. Malcolm X, Philadelphia, Devil In A Blue Dress, Training Day, Flight, Fences, just to mention a few. That’s Denzel at his best, that’s true ACTING.

Shehab Dawoud

Wow. THREE O'CLOCK HIGH is amazing. While that was directed by Phil Joanou, it was clearly Barry Sonnefeld who created the look for that film. I mean, this is what probably inspired that Ice Cube and Charlie Day movie, FIST FIGHT. And I second MEN AT WORK. Classic flick! "There are several sacred things in this world that you don't ever mess with. One of them happens to be another man's fries."

Philip Davetas

Love Denzel. Man on Fire, The Equaliser, Unstoppable

Odd Thomas

“Wait this is just the plot of Young Guns 2.” Crap you saw it? “Yeah I saw it with you!”

Alex

Three O clock High is great.......I'm gonna be under your bed

Mr. Chumpus

I’m happy to see most any new content, but I’m always still hoping for more Coen brothers. Hope you’ll get back to them in the near future.

David Wilkins

Shehab Dawoud

Noice

Odd Thomas

Saran wrap the whole couch will make clean up a breeze

Mr. Chumpus

Glad you guys are getting to a Young Guns 2, I think you'll enjoy it.

Eric Denney

Oh Yes !!! The Enforcer and Lethal Weapon 3 !!! Perfect Week !!! Love Both Films !!!

Florian Meier

Lethal Weapon 3! My favorite of the film series! (Followed by 4). Also, excited for the start of another season of Sopranos!

David Crabtree

Omfg. I've been waiting for Young Guns 2! This week is full awesome. Thanks guys...doing movies other channels don't do (but should). I love that. Soundtrack by Bon Jovi 😎 Also a great Lethal Weapon film. Lethal Weapon 3 means a lot to me bc at that time my brother and I grew up in a very rough neighborhood. Gang violence etc, I remember going to the downtown AMC theater to watch with him. And we lost a friend at the very time to a senseless drive by shooting. Song from the movie was played at his funeral by Boyz to Men. BTW guys Lou Diamond Philips (Chavez) from Young Guns has some really good movies from back then... 1) La Bamba (1987) 2) Stand And Deliver (1988) Casey Siemaszko (Charlie from Young Guns1) has a great 80s high school comedy... 1) Three O Clock High And Emilio Estevez has a great comedy with his brother Charlie Sheen 1) Men at Work

Jonathan Patrick

Thank you for the warning.

Thomas Yanez

The Last of Schmitt

EdmanXERO

Oh. My. Fucking. God! This week is gonna be a total Jizz-o-rama!

Philip Davetas

LOL I promise it's on our list! I'm going to try to get it on the schedule this year! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

I don't ask every week, because no one likes a pest, but I can't overstate how much fun it would be to see you two react to Everything Everywhere All At Once. 🙏

Paul Cox

LAST OF US FUCK YES!
