Magnum Force (1973) First Time Watching! Full Movie Reaction!!

Comments

Backlog Andy here. Im watching full reaction now. Love the dirty harry movies 🎬 this was uk πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ tv alot when I was growing up. I remember in the early 80s as a kid seeing it advertised on tv πŸ“Ί and being confused by the title because of the tv πŸ“Ί series Magnum PI πŸ˜‰πŸ˜†

Backlog Andy M.

It's funny that we are starting these films in the 1970's and already the idea of the police brutality vs. corrupt court system vs. criminal rights is the central plot to this series. Harry is the cop most of us wish we had on the police force. Yeah he's a vigilante himself but he really is only going after the bad guys but at the same time he still has his own morals that dictate how he has to follow the law. The funny thing is this film was made to answer for the "police brutality" argument that a lot of people were making about the first movie. the idea being that if you think Harry is bad just look at these guys who are willing to kill anybody even other cops to achieve their goal.

Poor old Davis, one of the best shots around but has fatal weakness of falling into water.

Aaron Barlow

Clint is the personification of manly cool. None of this namby pamby anti-gun woke nonsense. "Nothing wrong with shooting as long, as the right people get shot" lol.

Aaron Barlow

I was so happy for that pimp to die.

Aaron Barlow

πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘It is so much fun watching these movies with you guys.

Paul Spacone

Haha yeah unfortunately, I think you're right! Some of the dark scenes in all movies and shows we've seen have been difficult to see! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Thank you! Can't wait to hear them! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Haha true! -Sam

Hal was one of the few things I liked about the original "Creepshow". "Just tell it to call you Billie!"

Thomas Yanez

Also, Davis is David Soul from the original Starsky and Hutch 70's tv show. Sweet is Tim Matheson from Animal House. And Robert Urich was a huge tv star in the 70's.

Mr. Chumpus

Great reaction guys. Speaking to your comments about the "darkness". You both are watching in a room that is well lit so we can see you react to the films. That causes your eyes to adjust to the ambient lighting. The darker lit scenes is these movies were designed to be watched in a dark movie theater. Your eyes can't adjust and see the lower lit scenes. The cinematography in these films was fabulous. I've watched these movies multiple times and I could always see what the director meant for me to see.

Paul Spacone

Great reaction The Enforcer and Sudden Impact have some of Harry's best quotes

christopher brown

what is hilarious about this series is how often Harry is in the right place at the right time and how outrageous the crimes are.

Ed R

Sudden Impact is my second favorite of the series after the original.

Tim Raths

Oh nice! I love hearing everyone's thoughts! -Sam

All these Dirty Harry movies are pretty good, but I think the one that had the most lasting impression was SUDDEN IMPACT.

Philip Davetas

aWasn't he the best? A great actor who rarely did play villains because he always exuded such good dude vibes. Even Tony Soprano agrees in Season 6!

VivendoBem

Fantastic reaction, as always! The next one, The Enforcer, is IMO the weakest installment, but it still has its moments. Hope you watch all five. Everyone has their favorite in this series, but this might be mine as it's a thoughtful response to the criticism the first film got for seeming, to some, to advocate for vigilante cops taking the law into their own hands. Cops doing just that are the villains here, and Harry of all people defends the system, flawed as it is.

Robert Livingood

This was a blast!! Really hope you continue the series!!! PS: also super stoked for Lethal Weapon and It’s a Wonderful Life!!!

Brent

Agreed. And High Plains Drifter, too, while we're at it. And Where Eagles Dare. And The Gauntlet. And Play Misty For Me. Kelly's Heroes. I could go on, and probably will at some point.

VivendoBem

I hope you continue with the series. I love that you are reacting to these movies. I hope they get you some good views.

Thomas Yanez

There was one funny moment where they kept pulling out larger and larger guns during a gunfight, but other than that it was pretty forgettable.

Marcus Cato

There are carry over actors in the movies. The tubby detective DeGeorgi was in at least three Dirty Harry movies.

Jason Mangen

The topless blond who got engaged at the pool party was Suzanne Summmers who starred in the sitcom Three’s Company.

Jason Mangen

Next the β€œOutlaw Josey wales”

Jason Mangen

I can only recommend all 5 Films to you !!! "The Enforcer" is Great, "Sudden Impact" is my Favorite, he use in this one the first Time the Iconic line "Go Ahead, Make My Day";), The Scene in with the Sugar is so Great!!! And "The Dead Pool" with Liam Neeson and Jim Carrey is also very good ... So go on ;)

Florian Meier

Definitely my favorite of the series. Vigilante cop vs. vigilante cops. Cool action chase sequence at the end. Hot neighbor. Hal Holbrook. "Man's got to know his limitations." Good shit.

Steve Mercier

After Harry, you might check out Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. Clint on the other side of the law with "The Dude" Jeff Bridges.

Richard

I always loved Hal Holbrook, he plays a great bad guy.

Vwlss Nvwls

The pimp killed her with Drano. It would have been more obvious back then, because it was a popular can design.

Vwlss Nvwls

It is my opinion that any movie starring, or directed by Clint Eastwood is worth watching. The only movie that I can recall being bad was "City Heat", a 1984 buddy cop movie with Clint Eastwood and Burt Reynolds. I cannot recall how bad it was, so maybe even it is worth a watch, but otherwise you cannot go wrong with Clint Eastwood.

Vwlss Nvwls

Yeah !! Can't Wait to see this reaction !!! Can you Fly the Airplane? NOPE:) I holen you react to All 5 Dirty Harry, Everyone is Great an completly Different!! I personally love "Sudden Impact"
