The Sopranos Season 2 Episode 12 'Knight In White Satin Armor' Full TV Reaction!!

Livia was definitely laughing. She's the original gangster.

The end of the "Richie" problem. So satisfying. How slick is Junior? Now we might need to keep an eye on Richie's nephew. Not a spoiler as I don't remember what happened, it's been ten years for me. It's ok though Richie is resting on a hill with his pine cones. Sal's in a bad space. Wearing the wire is getting to him. He now wants it to end so he is trying to help the FBI case against Tony so it will all end.

softshoes

Agreed. The writers really explore self disillusionment and how it’s in all of us, even me, to a certain degree or another. Coming to terms with yourself is a fight that never really stops, which makes us human and complex.

PIG

It's always amazing when the outros are as good as the episodes, when the episodes are THIS good. I can't wait to finish off this season with you. I LOVE the finale. Also, RIP Richie, you were a wonderful "bad" guy, from the moment you hit Beansie with the coffee pot, to the moment you died on Livia's kitchen floor.

Future Boy

I love season 3 too. I love the storylines, and there are incredible episodes coming!

Future Boy

Yes, (nearly) every character is an awful person on this show, but it’s amazing how, when you boil it down, they are all awful for the same reason: resentment. Time and again we see people do terrible or stupid or bizarre things all motivated from the resentment over not getting something they feel is owed to them. Just in these few episodes alone, Richie, Junior, Pussy, Matthew Bevilacqua & Sean Gismonte do something or consider doing something because they feel they are not getting what should be theirs. I think, fundamentally, resentment and self delusion are the key themes of this show. Keep it in mind as you watch the rest of the series, if you ever wonder why a character acts the way he or she does. Two other notes: 1) Tony was definitely smiling when he found Janice kneeling over Richie’s dead body. 2) Livia was laughing at Tony for falling down the stairs—a brilliant little call back to when Tony, in season 1, told Melfi the only time he ever remembered seeing his mother laugh was after his father fell down the stairs.

Robert Livingood

"I Saved the World Today" by Eurythmics for the win!

Ellie Miller

I think Carmela is a great character. There are no bad characters among the main cast.

Armchair Wizard

How right you are. Richie was a charmer compared to what's coming.

Robert Livingood

There it is! I was waiting for that. I remember relatively little from the first time I watched The Sopranos except certain specific scenes or moments, and Janice killing Richie was one of them, which is why I laughed when they met, or reconnected rather at the yoga studio, like, "I remember how THIS ended" 😆

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

I know a lot of people hate Carmela, but she's consistently my favorite character in this series. I remember watching this episode live and being stunned at the Richie death. Just slack jawed. And, of course, I loved that moment where Carm was like, "If I have to do it, Tony, I may (off) myself". 🙃. Next season is my favorite tho. I was looking at my DVD set, reminiscing, and I'm so excited for you guys to get into S3.

Donna Castellano

If you're talking about what happened to probably the most popular character of the series, I hated that. Thought it was random for the sake of being random.

Jeffrey Miller

Great reaction! This is my first time watching the series, but I already knew what happened to Richie, but it was still satisfying all the same. In honor of Thanksgiving I must tell you guys that a new 4k edition of "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" was released with 75 minutes of deleted scenes!

Jeffrey Miller

Great Reaction guys! Oh trust me..There will be more villains.

Stoney Soprano

Agreed. Sopranos paved the way too. The only other one I can think of is in The Wire. I won't say what I'm talking about ;)

PIG

Another couple of great reactions, and both have been watched in full. So far as Pussy’s behavior—I think it’s unfolding events since his return, adding up, and his reflection upon them. They consistently kept him out of the loop on important matters, and his long term future was obviously limited. He grew increasingly resentful about everything, including the stress of being a mole. He wanted some kind of resolution, and knowing that there would be no truly good end, he was becoming less stable.

David Wilkins

The way they spent a whole season building up tension between Richie and Tony, and Richie goes out after one fight, is one of my favorite audience fake-outs of all time.
