Action Movie Poll!

Help pick the Action movie we will react to!

Please feel free to suggest other options in the comments for future polls!

*We received a ton suggestions on the last polls, but we are trying to keep the poll sizes more reasonable. We have noted all suggestions for future polls!

NOTE: I have seen Bad Boys, The Bourne Identity, and Small Soldiers, so this will only be Sam's first time watching!

Comments

hope you react to all of the Bourne movies

christopher brown

I'm taking a wild guess here, but if you do end up watching "The Bourne Identity", then it will pave the way to watching "Run Lola, Run" for a future "Foreign Movie Poll"?

Guston Zimasheen

Please do Long Kiss Goodnight for christmas. It's Samuel L. Jackson's favourite part of his. It's a blast and way underrated.

Timo Alho

I can't say that I'm upset about the winner but I'd of preferred The Equalizer. It's a solid action movie that many haven't watched. I think that it'd be a good reaction for that alone - but also some of the scenes are great as well. Maybe next time!

Logan Kerlee

I honestly prefer seeing reactions where both of you have never seen it.

James Whalen

These are all great, but Small Soldiers is such a gem. I would love to see you guys react to it. Just one of those 90's movies that kinda goes under the radar. The entire cast and crew are soo solid.

Colin Thomas Nichols

Have to go with Face/Off because the acting really pulls it off. Definitely one of my faves!

Rick Trujillo

@Aaron Barlow I always love the reference, I just don't get it here?

Thomas Yanez

You can't start JCVD without "Bloodsport"!

Thomas Yanez

I'm watching another reactor going through these and one of my favorite aspects is how unsuspecting they were about the serious side. Pop culture references don't convey the emotional depth you can find in this series.

Thomas Yanez

If you want Woo, then go vote for "Face/Off". Come on, this movie epitomizes everything that was both right and wrong with over-the-top, scenery chewing 90's action movies! And, it looks like the sequel is a "go" again.

Thomas Yanez

I think Steve McQueen would be the only star who does his own stunts in any of these movies - motorcycles in Great Escape, and cars in Bullitt.

Neal Romanek

Adding a vote for "Point Break" because of your enthusiasm. And then adding a vote for "Road House" because that completes my Annual Patrick Swayze Memorial Double Feature.

Thomas Yanez

I love the Bourne Identity.

Armchair Wizard

Oh, and Psycho.

Paul Cox

It doesn't seem like Daniel and Sam have any fear of watching pre-80s films, but it's hard to get people to vote them up in a poll because there's some kind of cultural brick wall for the subscribers of a lot of the reaction channels. Scan the archives of most channels and watch the view counts drop the further back in time you go. At least Bullitt is in color! Just about the only 3 black & white movies people will click on are It's A Wonderful Life, Casablanca, and 12 Angry Men.

Paul Cox

Why is Bullitt so far behind? It was so influential in subsequent films. Sad to see it ignored. I guess if it's old it's considered unworthy.

David Martin

Action Blown Away (1994) With Jeff Bridges, Tommy Lee Jones Lionheart (1990) Van Damme

Jonathan Patrick

Point Break. If it loses, watch it anyway.

justDRK

Well, he was already a star, but "The Great Escape" one made him a superstar! I only meant that he has more screen time in "Bullitt." In "The Great Escape," he's part of an ensemble, just as he was in "The Magnificent Seven."

William 1611

I wouldn't call Great Escape a smaller role tho, that film is what made him a star

Ken Veader

Steve McQueen poll

Ken Veader

Double Impact, Lionheart and Universal Soldiers

Ken Veader

Dude, I was just speaking about THE EXPENDABLES thise weekend. Looking forward to EXPEND4BLES.

Philip Davetas

Those movies are so great. For action movies they really tug at my heartstrings. "You're not dead until I tell you!"

Philip Davetas

LOL! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Oh my fucking god! POINT motherfucking BREAK! For sure!

Philip Davetas

These are pretty good movies, but really, you owe it to yourselves to watch "Bullitt." Steve McQueen is one of his generation's best, and he deserves more attention. Of course, he's in "The Great Escape" too, which is excellent, but it's a smaller role. "Bullitt" set the standard for certain elements that would adorn movies for decades.

William 1611

My top 3 here would be Face/Off, Con Air, and Bad Boys. Never really cared for the Bourne films.

David Crabtree

I remember Bourne Identity being good, but Point Break is a classic in our household.

Rudy Hernandez

Van Damn has talked about being coked out of his mind during filming that- on rewatch is very obvious lol

Byron Easley

"Come on partner โœŒ"

Duncan

I'm not as big on the action genre but I do recommend... Domino (2005) Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) All of Daniel Craig's James Bond films. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Domino

Not gonna lie I'd want them to rewatch BOURNE IDENTITY anyway as they admittedly don't remember movies they've seen a long time ago very well, and it would be fun to re-experience the entire trilogy with them even if it IS just an amnesia rewatch for the first one.

Jason Dolan

Iโ€™m surprised you guys havenโ€™t seen the Jason Bourne films.

Tim Raths

I don't remember you ever saying if you've watched them but you won't regret watching the "Lethal Weapon" series. Great action movies with a lot of heart.

Robert Cintron

I want them to enjoy Van Dammes earlier films. Not the bad decision ones yet lol

Demos Samolis

Thanks for pointing that out! I should have said his Hong Kong movies specifically. I think those were the obes that were really special. MI2 isn't worth a reaction.

Marcus Cato

Just as long as it's not M:I 2

mikethemotormouth

I hear that. I want to recommend the 70s version of Pelham 123 but I don't think it will go anywhere. But I'm really grateful that It's a Wonderful Life may be coming up!

Marcus Cato

I would love to see someone do a John Woo film like The Killer or Hard Boiled.

Marcus Cato

The great escape so far behind. Damned kids. My lawn. Off!

PickettsChargingPort

Dr No(1962) and Who Dares Wins wins it is also called The Final Option(1982)

christopher brown

Haha I mean 4 is fine but legacy is pretty skippable but the trilogy should be the priority

Jason Dolan

Street fighter if they wanna watch a van damme movie that's so bad that it's good ๐Ÿ˜‚

dieselbeast

How about we have no more polls until May and just watch everything on this list?

Future Boy

Im beating a dead dog here i know. How about just a Van Damme poll??? Hes in the Expendables franchise so we need to brush up on his films lol

Demos Samolis

Glad you said trilogy, because there are only 3 Bourne movies. No more than 3. That's the story and I'm sticking to it.

Paul Cox

The Bourne Identity is a classic, the sequels are great too.

Aaron Barlow

Above The Law (1989)

Ken Veader

MATT DAMON!!!

Aaron Barlow

Long overdue

Aaron Barlow

assuming you guys haven't seen them would you guys be interested in seeing the fast and furious franchise or have y'all seen those already? And also this does not have to do with suggestions in any way but I was wondering have y'all ever considered doing a q&a for your YouTube and patreon followers, we love you guys and in a weird way we feel part of your lives at least within this YouTube patreon world LOL so I was just curious if you guys ever would consider doing a q&a so we can get to know you guys more ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

dieselbeast

The Last Boy Scout, 1991

Gerard Smith

We've seen the Taken films -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Wow this is tough so many good ones so many ๐Ÿค” chose face off but any of them would be great ๐Ÿ‘Œ. Would suggest maybe Faster , dead man down and salt for future consideration ๐Ÿ‘

Ian

Please consider Everything Everywhere All At Once soon.

Paul Cox

Pshh Face Off or Equalizer needs to win. We need Cage vs Travolta or Denzel Washington.

Demos Samolis

Taken should be on that poll too.

David Lengyel

@TBR Schmitt, "Berry Gordy`s `The Last Dragon'(1985)!!!"

Bridget

UTAH!! GET ME TWO! Let's go Point Break and get that Swayze goin!

Byron Easley

Let's get that BOURNE TRILOGY crossed off the list ASAP please
