The Sopranos Season 2 Episode 8 'Full Leather Jacket' Full TV Reaction!!

The Sopranos Season 2 Episode 8 'Full Leather Jacket' Full TV Reaction!!

Comments

I think Dominic is right that she set out to seduce him from the beginning. I think it's a big theme of the show how people outside of the mob are just as guilty of using other people. Examples: Tony's neighbor uses him for his own amusement. Favreau uses him for his mob anecdotes. Even a decent person like Melfi admits that she is living vicariously through Tony.

I eat real beautiful bread in the morning, no stupid cereal junk!

SGato!

I can't imagine getting so worked up over an episode of The Sopranos or any other tv show. It ain't real Dominic! It's entertainment. Put the whiskey bottle down fool

Mr. Chumpus

That explains is then.

softshoes

I don't eat cereal!

SGato!

Now…when you indirectly said men and women aren’t equal…

Jason Chirevas

Future Boy -- 100%. Right on the spot Mr. Eastwood, or is it, Calvin? lol. Jason -- because Patreon isn't a place for EXTENDED political discussion but yes, I fucking hate leftists. That's why I don't go on about them because it would garner my attention and waste it. Jeffery -- Sorry buddy, but I'll call them a slut if I want to and I didn't "TAKE SHOTS" at you. Are you talking about "Maybe you should try it sometime? That was a legit suggestion. It wasn't me making some comment on your life. Now, ONCE AGAIN, I bid you all adieu and say good day. I won't waste my time replying to these messages and neither should you, life is too short to worry about what someone on the internet says and worrying about if you're saying the words culture wants you to say. Think for yourselves. If you genuinely don't like the word slut then more power to you but that doesn't mean the girl in THE TV SHOW wasn't one. And by the way so is Chris, he's essentially a man whore

Dominic Matich

Don't call women sluts. It's gross. Unless it's something partners agree on, don't do it.

Jeffrey Miller

Yeah, he just had to take some shots at us and try to call a truce. Truly a man we should all aspire to be like.

Jeffrey Miller

“Especially since she's the liberal type who thinks men and women are equal“ I notice you didn’t touch on that bit…

Jason Chirevas

I know I will never see another show like this again. The first time I realised that I was watching something uniquely special was when the credits rolled on the season 2 finale. Around that time this show had gained a weight and a momentum I hadn't experienced anywhere else, and it maintained it for another 4 seasons.

Future Boy

They're both in long-term relationships, they both cheated. Neither of them has any excuse.

Future Boy

I have to agree with you. AJ and Meadow are definitely among the most annoying characters in the show and maybe at the top of the list. Of course, that speaks to what a good job Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Rob Iler did imo. Especially Rob Iler later on when his character arc goes the way it goes. It's great acting.

Shehab Dawoud

Who pissed in your cereal this morning. It's an observation on my part. I'm not trying to influence anyone, least of all you. The jacket part was just a wisecrack pertaining to the title of the episode. Get a grip man.

softshoes

To Jeffery and Jason, you've obviously never had an encounter with a girl answering, who's expecting you, answering her door (either just out of the shower or not) in her robe. Maybe you could put it on your bucket list. You ever wonder why it's called "Body language?" Because humans express their emotions through motions or lack of it. I'm simply pointing out that Chris didn't come to the room with the intention of fucking her and if anyone who watched that scene thinks that the girl didn't start that whole thing, either doesn't understand IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO or they just have their political correctness contacts in. To Elisa, I don't hate or dislike women, it's very much the opposite of that. . But if me pointing out that a woman, in the scene of a television show, wanted sex more (or just as much as the man) is such a mind-blowing concept to you than maybe you should get out more, I don't cater to others' "Truths" just real facts. Now, to ALL OF YOU, I say enjoy your life and it was nice talking to you, but Patreon is no place for silly debates. I assume we all want to stay on as Patrons of this channel, so let's keep the discourse civil and BRIEF.

Dominic Matich

I'm telling you, and this is not even hyperbole, when you finish The Sopranos, you are gonna be at the very least, semi-depressed. I remember when I finished it for the first time, I was genuinely depressed. There was a legit void in my life. I was thinking: "What the hell am I gonna do now? Where can I possibly go from here? " And even though the show is great to re-watch as you naturally pick up on more things, and truly get a sense of how genius the show actually is, it's still one of those VERY FEW shows or movies where you're sad that you can only watch it for the first time once.

Shehab Dawoud

I say this without any sarcasm or humor: please go to therapy and work on unlearning your hatred of women

Elisa Pfau

Bro, is this a character you’re playing, or…? 😬

Jason Chirevas

Who cares which storyline you're tired of, or wearing a brown leather or whatever the fuck! Let them decide what they will like or not!

SGato!

Dude, you have some serious issues with women. Like, disturbingly so.

Jeffrey Miller

As the series went on I grew tired of the storylines of Tony's children. I understand why they can't be ignored, but the petulance and misbehaving is so over the top. I can't believe a mob boss would put up with it. BTW I'm wearing a brown leather as I write this.

softshoes

Chris LOVES Adriana and does want to marry her and that redhead SCREWED HIM. You guys are being WAY too hard on Chris. She was the one who incited it, who answered the door in her robe and got him seated next to her, her body language was screaming out "fuck me" and she got it. I don't understand why no one is blaming the slut, she should have a little more than half the blame. Especially since she's the liberal type who thinks men and women are equal, well then she should be held accountable for her actions as well.

Dominic Matich

I once heard David Chase (Sopranos creator) talking about the inspiration for Matt and Sean's attack on Chris. It was based on a real event that happened in Chase's hometown. Two kids really were stupid enough to kill a made guy in an attempt to impress the captain of another crew.

Future Boy

Oh, last two things. 1- Daniel was right, Jimmy Altiieri (the captain they killed and dumped on the street with a rat in his mouth at the end of season 1) was ALSO a snitch and who’s guilt, to some extent, threw suspicion away from Pussy. 2- Jeannie Cusamano’s sister Joan DEFINITELY wrote a glowing recommendation for Meadow and Carm asked to see a copy, just to verify that.

Robert Livingood

I’ve always hated Richie, too, of course. But unlike most characters on the show, he has a code that he actually lives up to. He did his stretch and didn’t rat anyone out. While he’s away, his kid brother becomes Capo Regime but quickly gets sick and dies. By mafia rules, such as they are, he was entitled to a lot when he got out but they chiseled him, to a degree (as Janice so helpfully made him realize). Beansie, who used to work for Richie, probably did owe him a piece of his pizzerias. Richie’s always respectful in Tony’s house at family events and Sunday dinners while Tony’s making snide remarks about him in front of everyone and he just swallows it, and even gave Tony that tacky jacket as.a goodwill gesture. Tony knows Richie’s around his house a lot and may well see the maid’s husband walking around wearing it, but Tony did that to rub Richie’s nose in, just like when he gave Meadow her friend’s SUV. Compared to some of the character who we meet later in the series, Richie’s could be nominated for sainthood. St Richie, patron saint of psychos.

Robert Livingood

Saundra Santiago from Miami Vice. She also auditioned for (and was possibly close to landing)) the part of Carmella. I think it probably worked out for the best.

Robert Livingood

Yup. I always loved that subtle detail.

Robert Livingood

Olivia talking about the kids who were killed because of the seat belts and then Sean gets stuck because of his seat belt and killed for it.

UNC

I'm liking Carmela less and less as the series goes on. However, those two guys are easily the dumbest guys in the history of crime. "Hey, we're educated guys who can easily enter a legit, well paying profession. Let's kill the guy who is like a son to the Boss!" I was so lazy when it came to trying to get into a "good" school. I had excellent grades but I couldn't care less about extra curriculars so that definitely limited me.

Jeffrey Miller

Fantastic, as always! This is gonna be a long week waiting for the next episodes after where this left off. But they'll be worth the wait. Oh, and Sam was right about this being a short episode. It's the shortest episode of all 86!

Future Boy

The same actress played Jeannie and her sister.

David Murray

Alright! For better or worse, I’m a retired guy, so I’ve already burned through both full length reactions, and I’m ready for more. But I’ll be a good little boy and show patience. You guys are doing great, with a great series.

David Wilkins

Sorry I didn't have time to listen to the whole outro.. so not sure if you guys talked about it more.. but a D-girl is short for Development girl in Hollywood terms.. Basically Christopher is calling Amy a "whore" or "working girl" to get the Director "Favreau" the "Pimp" what he wants..

PastaDon

Richie has some great moments this episode. "The jackeeet" and his "Let me know if there's anything you could do for me" is a pretty badass line.

Carlos Hurtado

“It’s the jackeeeet.” 😅 It cracks me up every time Richie says that. That jacket really didn’t look good on Tony.

Tim Raths

You guys started watching this amazing show just when I felt like I was craving a rewatch. Glad you guys are enjoying!
