Rambo (2008) First Time Watching! Full Movie Reaction!!

Rambo (2008) First Time Watching! Full Movie Reaction!!

Comments

I still haven't seen R5 but overall I've heard pretty much the same complaint from most people that it's completely forgettable.

A lot of people comment that these sequels are nothing more than pointless action films and the message of the first film is a distant memory. I have to be that guy and disagree. Yes they are action films at the base level but many people seem to forget the arc that Rambo undergoes throughout these films. It really is like Col. Troutman said, Rambo will always be a full-blooded combat soldier, even when he is trying to find that inner peace within himself he will never be able to come full circle because he is a killer no matter what. In each film the reasons for his existence change but he doesn't; in the first film he was forgotten by a country he fought for, in the second film he fought for his comrades when they were forgotten, in the third film he fought for his mentor who never forgot him. In this fourth film he's fighting for complete strangers who in another time would have been just like Will Teasle and by the end of the film he realizes he has made a difference.

That is exactly what the M2 .50 Browning machine gun really does

Jason Mangen

Directed by Stallone so that may be the reason Rambo was more stationary at some points

Jason Mangen

Not a fan of this one. The gleeful violence makes it seem like a snuff film more than an action film imo

Odd Thomas

This shoulda been the last. John finally went home. That's it. It's done. I wouldn't wat h the next. It doesn't have any merit, but I guess the only way to understand that is to see ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Byron Easley

"Come and have a go at me you fucking ladyboy cunt" one of the best delivered lines in cinema history ๐Ÿ˜‚

David Murray

At the end of the movie, as Rambo's looking over the battlefield and the smoke settles, Rambo realizes THEY CHANGED THINGS, If it hadn't been for them going in, he wand the mercenaries wouldn't have gone in, and the rebels wouldn't have won. So in reality, the missionaries actually changed a large portion of the war. Funny how God works that way. NOTHING good comes without sacrifice and notice the doctor killed his first person with a stone, like Cain and Able.

Tommy Richards

This was so satisfying. I'd love to be able to slaughter true vermin like Rambo did.

Aaron Barlow

Good to see Rita from Dexter. RIP Rita....

Aaron Barlow

I loved Last Blood and I am excited for their reaction.

David Crabtree

It was nice to see Rambo finally come home and find peace. And then for them to mess all that up with the next movie lol. I wish they just ended it here and gave him what seemed to be a perfect ending. Oh well, Iโ€™ll still watch the reaction for the next movie. As always, was fun to watch with you guys.

Mitchell Smilie

Definitely hope they react to "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi" featuring John Krasinski from "A Quiet Place". Is like the complete opposite of a quiet place.

Guston Zimasheen

Great reaction! I'm really looking forward to Rambo: Last Blood! I know you've said it's on the list, but I just wanted to throw out another recommendation for 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.

David Crabtree

The missionary guy who first asks Rambo for transportation up river that you said looked familiar played the priest Father Phil Intintola in the Sopranos that Carmela had that flirtation with.

David Crabtree

Stallone was 61 years old filming this movie. Incredible!

Paul Spacone

I'm only half way through, currently dicking around looking for a better version because it keeps going out of sync after like ten seconds. I am DYING to know if you guys ever realised that the church group leader was Carmella's little foodie boyfriend Priest from The Sopranos.

Tostito Buddy

Great reaction to one of my favourite action movies ever

David Murray

Yep, Sam accidentally gave his character a much better name! Maybe she was subconsciously thinking ahead to the day we get a reaction for The Last Boy Scout...?

Future Boy

Love this movie. About the gore, hey, it's not as bad as Ash vs. Evil Dead ;)

Alex

โœŠ Boy Scout! โœŠ Boy Scout! โœŠ Boy Scout! โœŠ

Duncan

LOL

TBR Schmitt

This is a fun action film, but oh man, this is so far removed from what the original was about and itโ€™s no wonder the guy who wrote the book โ€˜First Bloodโ€™ was based on said he was embarrassed as what the character had become.

Jeffrey Miller

Yeah, this one is a fun action movie, but the whole message of the first film is long gone. Even the guy who wrote the novel that First Blood was based on said he was โ€œEmbarrassed to have my name associated with it.โ€

Jeffrey Miller

Great reaction as always! I wasn't expecting this, so it was a nice surprise to see this available to watch with you all today. Can't hardly wait to watch the next/final Rambo with you two. Hopefully it will be coming soon. Thank you again!! ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚

Ed Garland

All the Rambo sequels make me a little sad. The whole point of First Blood was that war and fighting and killing utterly broke John Rambo. He's a sobbing wreck at the end of the movie. Even as a reluctant warrior it's still a bummer.

Gratch... just Gratch

Where's the Gabagoo?!!!

Ghost Crusaders

Best way to describe this film is that it is brutally honest in it's depiction of genocide.

Andrew

Aww, wanted to watch along, but I have just an old DVD and the FPS difference makes it impossible to sync. I'll watch YouTube edit, hoping for the good amount of iconic moments in there.

David Lengyel

At this point, I just assume that any time the hero of a movie is actually killing bad guys is Daniel's favorite part.

Thomas Yanez

Love this one Not sure if you know this, but the man playing the general is a real life freedom fighter from Burma. He's the reason Sly made the movie. He wanted to show the world what was going on there, even though he knew it would put his family who were still there in danger

ShadowVessel ฯ€

My second favorite Rambo after First Blood

Ken Veader

Dude. Dude. I just came a little.

Philip Davetas

Daniel's too hahaha -Sam

TBR Schmitt

You're totally right?! And the time jumps between films and they still execute this so well! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Rambo on that 50 cal is probably my favorite scene out of all the movies.

Anakin Starkiller

The one cool thing about the Rambo series and not alot of people mention is that every Rambo film is based around real world events. I always found it interesting that they place Rambo in these events so that we see what he would do in these real life situations.
