I wouldn't classify the Scream movies as slasher, they're closer to "who-dun-it" murder mystery films.

Paranormal activity sequels are good too. The most recent one Paranormal Activity: Next of kin is especially cool.

Totally, they should not look up any articles, plot summaries, reviews etc and definitely not the trailer.

Absolutely. If this ends up on your list though don't watch the trailer, one of the worst 'shows you the whole movie' examples. Just know it's a horror movie where some British soldiers go on training maneuvers in the woods, and they find something, and some things happen. They are bloody and screamy things.

I guess slasher flicks are not my cup of tea. I find supernatural horror far more scary. With slasher flicks in my mind I always think I could kill the bad guy because they're normally just a guy.

I'm really looking forward to Scream 2. I was hoping for a lot of sequels to films they watched last year. Scream 2, Psycho 2, Halloween 2 would all be great choices.

So excited for Ash VS Evil Dead. He is basically Johnny Lawrence from Cobra Kai in terms of the comedy.

SCREAM 2 is a masterpiece. Itβs scarier and more tightly put together, which is amazing considering it came out less than a year after the original. It was the first film to have an online script leak so Kevin Williamson had to rewrite the ending. It is also more brutal than the first, and we know how brutal the first one was. Actually, the whole Scream series is really well done. Props to Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox and David Arquette.

I second that. Dog Soldiers is just so funny and surprising and very well acted, for what it is. I often enjoy practical effects over CGI, and this is no exception. Reminds me so much of being out on patrol in the woods at night.

Scream 4 is so good! For me, it's only a hair below Scream 2, but it's almost a toss up.

You guys really have to watch the British action/horror classic 'Dog Soldiers' You guys will love it. It doesn't get a lot of love in reactor polls because it flew a bit under the radar with sub par marketing so many haven't seen it, but it has since become a genre cult classic.

That's why I asked. I wanted to make sure it wasn't a reaction I'd somehow missed. Obviously if they'd seen it personally reacting wouldn't be expected.
Although some reactors fake first time reactions. I'm not saying TBR and Sam do that though, they seem very authentic.

If they've seen a movie personally, they're not going to watch it on the channel, it wouldn't be an authentic reaction.

Child's Play is a solid classic. I haven't seen Scream 2 in easily 20 years or more so it'll all be new to me again. I haven't seen Ash vs Evil Dead so hopefully I'll like that.

Of all the great horror films that should've won we get a 'Scream' movie?
No Conjuring, Paranormal activity, Insidious or Annabelle? Sigh.....

Since you've seen
"Child's Play" (1988),
I recommend the 2019 remake. I actually found it creepier than the original.
Not to mention, Mark Hamill is the voice of Chucky.

Hell yes Child's Play! Probably the instigator for my hatred of dolls and mannequins. Can't wait to see Daniel have a terrible time!
