28 Days Later (2002) First Time Watching! Full Movie Reaction!!

Comments

Don't want to be a new sub moaner, but the amount of movies you label as first time watching when you've already seen them is a piss take.

I see this video presently has 28 likes and same number of comments. 😎

Okay so the errands ran long and I haven’t had time to watch yet. Was a little busy getting MARRIED on Friday! Jessica and I are on our honeymoon now (Eureka Springs) so we’ll be watching along when we get home later this week. 😁

Those things scared me big time in the GameCube remake and I was like 18 lol

Jeffrey Miller

They are zombies. They are just different. In the Resident Evil world the zombies in 28DL would be Crimson Heads. Or Crimson Heads on steroids (lol)

Alex

I recommend NOTLD, DAWN OF THE DEAD, DAY OF THE DEAD, NOTLD '90s and DAWN OF THE DEAD 2000s the Romero collection and remake.

Ghost Crusaders

Wow I got a lot more movies to watch

Alex

Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Land of the Dead, Diary of the Dead, Survival of the Dead. Twilight of the Dead is the last Romero touched film, but it’ll be made without his direct involvement because he’s no longer with us. Personally, it peaked with Day of the Dead. That’s my favorite of the series. It’s highly underrated in relation to Night and Dawn.

Donna Castellano

It's more than a trilogy, I think .. There is the original black and white Night of the Living Dead, and then there's I think an 80s remake ? and there's a sequel Night of the Living Dead Part 2 if I'm not mistaken (totally could be wrong on everything I'm saying here lol).. then Dawn, Day of, etc. I remember some of them move kind of slow, but based on your reaction to this I think you will love them as well.

Alex

Sunshine is one of my favourite movies! Highly recommended!

Odd Thomas

It was a great film! I can see that, the picture hasn’t aged great, but overall fantastic film! -Sam

Oh interesting! I’m sure we’ll see it when we get to the “dead” trilogy! We loved A Quiet Place! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Oh cool, thank you for the recommendation! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Ah thank you! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

No way! I was thinking that while watching the beginning like if they built sets or actually cleared out parts of London, crazy! RIP Frank 💔

TBR Schmitt

Hope you enjoyed! -Sam

Ghost Crusaders

This film is one of the few zombie movies that I can still really enjoy even after the zombie craze of about 2000-2015 just ran the concept into the ground big time. Most people would consider '28 Days Later' a zombie movie. It involves people fighting against mindless hoardes whose condition is contagious. The score for this movie is excellent. There's some great shots as well. One small thing I don't like is how poor the picture quality is. Yes, I know it was supposedly an artistic decision but I think it's aged poorly given how advanced displays have become. Again, it's a small complaint, definitely one of the better zombie films of the era.

Jeffrey Miller

The “waking up in a hospital” thing I think is from one of the “dead” movies.. Maybe Dawn of the Dead. I don’t remember anything about them so I could be totally wrong but I know that quite a lot of zombie movies have a scene like that where someone wakes up in a hospital in the place that’s been completely deserted. The use of silence and lack of dialog is very interesting. A quiet place where nobody can talk was very interesting with the complete lack of dialog. Things really start to lean on the music in order to move the story along and keep things interesting. There was an episode of Buffy where there was no dialogue during the entire episode and it’s amazing how they can use the music to tell the story when you don’t have much dialogue to work with.

Alex

I dragged my friend to see Sunshine with me in the theatre. She’s not really the independent film type. She kept leaning over and going, “What the fuck is going on?” 😂

Donna Castellano

Poor Ian. jk

Great reaction to a fabulous film. A great companion piece to this is 2007's Sunshine (also directed by Danny Boyle, written by Alex Garland and starring Cillian Murphy), a hard sci-fi/sort of horror film with some truly fabulous cinematography and another great cast of character actors. So far as 28 Days Later, I pretty much became obsessed with Murphy, Naomi Harris and Brendan Gleeson after this film, as their chemistry here as Jim, Selena and Frank was so fantastic -- who knew Scarecrow, Moneypenny and Mad-Eye Moody had road-tripped through the apocalypse together?

Steven Montano

It's pronounced Kill-ian by the way

Odd Thomas

The really neat thing about 28 Days Later is all the scenes of Jim wandering around London and all the streets are empty? Those were *all* actual locations in London and were all cleared out by the production for the movie. It was a real undertaking, from what I understand. Also I FULLY agree with the heartbreak about Frank's death - it's absolutely gutting, because he was such a good, brave guy and it happens *so* suddenly. It's a great metaphor for death that happens out of nowhere. Great reaction, y'all! <3

Rue

I will definitely be watching this tonight. I unfortunately have errands to run after work first.

Nick of Time

Yay! was waiting for this to release. Gonna watch it now. Cheers!

Just wondering as a chucky fanatic, when’s the child’s play reaction coming ?👀
