Clint Eastwood Movie Poll!

Help pick the Clint Eastwood film we will react to!

Please feel free to suggest other options in the comments for future polls!

NOTE: I have seen Gran Torino so this would only be Sam's first time watching!

Comments

I would recommend watching all of his movies they are amazing.

william

Great performance from John Malkovich.

Neal Romanek

Yep, it's Dirty Harry.

Neal Romanek

Yeah I have. A lot of fun, young Jeff Bridges shines. Rawhide is the first thing I started my marathon with and I really liked it. Fun fact: Sheb Wooley (Pete Nolan) is responsible for the Wilhelm scream

Ravi Subasegaran

a marathon, nice. Have you watched Thunderbolt and Lightfoot? It's great. I just started watching Rawhide, the western series he made in the 50s. It's pretty fun, worth a look. It's crazy how many western TV series there were back then.

Birdie Num Num

not that I would vote for it, but it is worth noting that Every Which Way But Loose remains the highest grossing film Eastwood starred in(adjusted for inflation). Was a big change of pace for him ala Twins/Kindergarten Cop for Arnie. It's fun.

Birdie Num Num

I went with Dirty Harry as that is a defining film for him. Although I think Million Dollar Baby is a great film, I didn't vote for it as I can't help but cry when I watch it.

Mark Curtis

I voted for it. I barely remember it, but it's my dad's favorite movie.

Jeffrey Miller

What a fantastic film that is!

Chris Bruneau

Awwww. Where is Pale Rider 😢

Anthony Harris

What a great movie! Maybe they can include it in a Drama poll or something. Any movie starring Eastwood and Kevin Costner is bound to be special, and it also featured maybe the best performance by a child actor I've ever seen. In fairness, however, Clint's role in the movie itself wasn't meaty enough to call it an Eastwood starring vehicle. His limited role is another example of his self-confidence as a director: he doesn't have to hog the spotlight. Who would have thought, 50 years ago, that our three best directors of pure "drama" would turn out to be Eastwood, Ron Howard, and Mel Gibson?

William 1611

Surprised that "Play Misty For Me" is not listed, it's a great one! Awesome psycho thriller! Highly recommended. 😁👍

Christine Holloway

plus they get to see what Hilary Swank got up to since The Next Karate Kid!

Mark M

Million Dollar Baby is an Academy winner and shows just what a brilliant director and storyteller Eastwood is. I left the theater in quiet reverence. It was and still is considered one of his directorial masterpieces, on the level of Unforgiven

ron clint

Heartbreak Ridge is my all time favorite Eastwood film!

David Crabtree

In the Line of Fire is a great movie. John Malkovich is amazing in this as well.

Alex

There’s a video on the channel of their reaction to Unforgiven.

Tim Raths

Heartbreak Ridge is a more lighthearted war drama (if such a thing is possible) that often gets overlooked but absolutely deserves to be seen. Pale Rider is a fantastic western that also deserves more attention.

Steven Montano

Firefox(1982), Space Cowboys(2000) and Blood work(2002) are good Clint movies

christopher brown

I'm guessing Unforgiven isn't on the list because you've already seen it. Then choose the next multi-Oscar winner in Million Dollar Baby.

David Martin

You've got one supporter. I've seen it about 25 times.

David Martin

I will patiently await til when everyone supports "The Outlaw Josey Wales".

Dee Aitch

Yes !!! Play Misty For Me is so Great!!! I also vote for this ... Also the whole Dirty Harry Series is Great.. Especially "The Enforcer"

Florian Meier

It's a shame A Perfect World isn't on there

Odd Thomas

Heartbreak Ridge is a great Eastwood movie. A simple story and a bit dated language but lots of fun.

Gratch... just Gratch

Yes that's right !!! And John Malkovich plays such a Great Villian !!! For Me one of the best Action Movies of the 90's

Florian Meier

Yes ! A Clint Poll !!! There are so many Great Eastwood Movies to react to ... For the next Eastwood Poll you have to add "Play Misty for Me" from 1971 ... My Personal Favorite and "Tightrope" from 1984 and "A Perfect World" from 1993 .... But all These Movies in this Poll are Fantastic ... I hope when Diry Harry wins, you watch all 5 Dirty Harry films... You will love it I'm Sure

Florian Meier

Currently marathoning everything Eastwood from 1955 onwards and I just finished Million Dollar Baby. I would love for you two to one day react to High Plains Drifter (1973) as I've rarely seen it spoken about.

Ravi Subasegaran

The Mask (Jim Carrey doing a Dirty Harry impression)

Aaron Barlow

If you don't vote for the right movie you have to ask yourself one question.."do I feel lucky?...Well?....do ya punk?"

Aaron Barlow

I have to vote for 'In the Line of Fire'. It's a really fun movie and it's smart and it's a shame that it's not as well known as one of the solid action flicks of the 90s.

Jeffrey Miller

Mystic River (directed by Eastwood)

Jonathan Patrick

Everyone owes it to themselves to watch Kelly's Heroes. Even if one does not then share said watching on teh YouTubes.

Jay Davis

DIRTY HARRY is probably the most famous, but you can do the whole series. I think there were five: DH, THE ENFORCER, MAGNUM FORCE, SUDDEN IMPACT, and THE DEAD POOL. Also, next time you should add PLAY MISTY FOR ME, a great thriller that was Clint’s directorial debut. He starred as well.

Robert Boyd

If you guys watch Dirty Harry, I hope we'll be able to finish the series eventually.

Ron

I voted for "Dirty Harry" because, well, it's "Dirty Harry". But I really would love to see a reaction for "Kelly's Heroes". I'm just a sucker of ensemble movies and this is an underrated one.

Robert Cintron

Great film. Supposedly, they couldn't stand each other off camera, but it serves the movie well.

Mitchell Smilie

Yes, I think that was the problem. He made so many fine films that he didn't appear in!

William 1611

Although "Dirty Harry" is iconic, in that it started its own franchise, I had to vote for "Million Dollar Baby." No spoilers, but it co-starred Morgan Freeman and Hillary Swank, and won multiple Oscars, including Best Picture. And it's a boxing movie! But, like most of Eastwood's later films, it's basically a character study. I hope you'll watch it, even if you don't react to it.

William 1611

It would probably be algorithm poison as far as YT views are concerned, but I will cape anytime anywhere for Two Mules For Sister Sara. Clint + Shirley MacLaine = magnificence!

Paul Cox

I'm so damn proud of you guys. My heart swells with pride.

Mitchell Smilie

Sam would love In the Line of Fire.

Ellie Miller

No he only directed it but it blows away all these movies by far.

James Whalen

Ha. I just saw that you already did an Unforgiven reaction video. Never mind :D

TGrimace

It wasn't on any top Clint Eastwood lists, I didn’t even realize he was in it! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

We’ve already reacted to Unforgiven 😊 -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Unforgiven didn't make the list? That's gotta be my favorite Clint Eastwood movie of all time.

TGrimace

Well I guess he has to star in it too.

James Whalen

No Mystic River?

James Whalen

A vastly underrated performance and film is "Trouble with the Curve" (2012). A story about a man getting old and his coming to terms with his relationship with his daughter and trying to hold onto a job he loves. With baseball as the backdrop. Stars Clint, Amy Adams, and Justin Timberlake. I voted for "Dirty Harry", "Gran Torino", and "The Outlaw Josey Wales".

Miles E Coburn

Kellys Heroes....a whole slew of actors in that...Eastwood, DOnald Sutherland ( playing the original hippie) Telly Savalas ...amazing..

Anthony Perez

I'm shocked Kelly's Heroes and Outlaw Josie Wales are in last!!

Smooticus

So many great films on this list but Million Dollar Baby is my favorite of the bunch.

Tim Raths

Space Cowboys

Andrew
