I'm glad you two DIDN'T watch the Trailers of this show. There's nothing worse than a reaction channel saying "This is What We Seen in Trailer" before or as scenes happen, all season long. smh

But when Daniel tells Sam about shutting down Miyado-Do "This is not about tournaments anymore. This is real life" that's a callback to when Miyagi said the same thing to him in Karate Kid 2. when Chozen grabbed Kumiko and told him to fight to the death.

2022-09-11 01:26:59 +0000 UTCYeah, Terry Silver really only got one scene in Karate Kid 2 to really hammer out how psychotic he really is (The fight scene with him, Kreese and Miyagi) but last season and this season man Thomas Ian Griffith really drives it home. Silver is a bad guy that is beyond anything Kreese could ever be capable of. And I think it's because how they showed in last season in the flashbacks how they used to call him Twig, and he was very weak and super scared in the prison camp. People like that often become the most dangerous when they gain strength and power.

2022-09-10 18:22:29 +0000 UTCI totally forgot about the trailers when I first watched these this entire season. For these two episodes, Chozen spying on Cobra Kai wasn't even in the trailers at al. You would've never known. (pls don't comment on what's in the trailers to not spoil it for them) I expected the Mexico thing to last at least half the season, but that's coz I knew they weren't in Mexico the whole time from the trailers. At the end when Sam was like "Good luck Chozen" I was like .. Noo... Good luck the other guys. And not coz I'd seen it before. I was waiting for a bad ass fight scene with Chozen and this did not disappoint! I knew from the start none of those senseis were gonna be left standing. Remember from when Daniel spent time with Chozen before in Okinawa in season 2/3 (Can't remember).. Chozen is actually a student of Miyagi-Do, because Sato was student of Miyagi-do. But Miyagi-do is not just about defense as Daniel had thought. That was actually Chozen in the scene with them doing the iron palm training in the sand. The sensei was his uncle Sato. My perspective of him putting the pillow in there, and then even after being scolded by his uncle and still putting the pillow back in, in my mind, is what led to the Chozen we saw in Karate Kid 2 who had no honor, and cheated his way through everything. Remember how he tried to cheat the villagers with the fake gold or metal or whatever it was that broke in half. Then that flashback ties into his scene with Tory where Chozen talked about cowardice and his own cowardice and what he did not understand about honor. And this led to Tory confronting Silver. I had no idea how it would turn out with Tory, whether she would confront Silver. I predicted that Tory would actually talk to Amanda for help and maybe through that she would talk to Sam. I didn't think she would go directly to Silver immediately. It's really great about this season is that you really have no idea where it's gonna go. It's really the best season of the series, hands down.
