I didn't even catch this but one of the other reactors mentioned when Daniel tells Sam about shutting down Miyagi-Do "This isn't about tournaments anymore. This is real life." is a callback to when Miyagi said that to him in Karate Kid 2 before he went to fight Chozen to the death.

Like the main reason Jack took the job at The Overlook was because he was a serious alcoholic and he got he the job through a friend. Before that he was in an accident with one of his female college students he was having an affair with. They were both drunk and she died. The book and it sequel, Dr. Sleep, are both worth reading.

Will I have enough restraint to do that again this time...? (But I do appreciate how fast you got these up considering that you had some interruptions to your plans this week!)
