2022-09-21 22:59:08 +0000 UTCSo here’s the deal: if CHILD’S PLAY wins, then add PSYCHO II as well, because PSYCHO II writer, Tom Holland, directed CHILD’S PLAY. You’ll have a double bill 😊

2022-09-17 03:37:32 +0000 UTCTwo old school, not exactly a slasher, more like crazy unnerving serial killer films you should check out are Night Of The Hunter (1955) and The Bad Seed (1956)

2022-08-28 15:40:27 +0000 UTCIt's much more a surreal supernatural horror than a slasher.

2022-08-25 06:36:05 +0000 UTCMy dad rented it and I watched it with him when I was a kid (there were few restrictions on what I could watch) and it was super creepy. Then I watched again as an adult and it was still great but I also noticed the political themes which was really cool.

2022-08-24 20:35:57 +0000 UTCI hope there is no issues this time with copyright. I love the Scream franchise.

2022-08-24 19:41:52 +0000 UTCJesus, "Martyrs"? Not gonna lie, a reaction would be interesting to watch :-D but I know people who've been destroyed by that one. I mean' it's GREAT for what it is but - phew. It's hardcore! Don't damage Daniel and Sam!! However: "Mark of the Devil"? Really? I mean that's an odd choice. That's more suited for nerdy gore-hounds I think. (no offense, I am one myself :)

2022-08-23 23:31:39 +0000 UTCI'm a big Hellraiser fan but I think it never really flourished as far as the movies go. The first one is very rough and low budget, the second one has a few great scenes and designs but I feel the vision was too big for the budget and the filmmakers capabilites. The third one is painful (I do NOT understand why people like it so much, from the original four it's the least "hellraiser"). It's silly campy trash. I prefer even the fourth one, especially everything that takes place in historical France. And after "Bloodline"? ... omg kill me! Clive Barkers work has so much potential but the movies never even came close. Wasn't HBO thinking about a Hellraiser series or something like that? That would be so awesome...

2022-08-23 17:15:28 +0000 UTCI recommend the Wes Craven film "The People Under the Stairs". Probably his most underrated horror film.

2022-08-23 10:37:58 +0000 UTCI'm probably in the minority but I loved the Rob Zombie Halloween films
Odd Thomas
2022-08-23 10:33:27 +0000 UTCI was hoping Psycho 2 would just appear on your schedule at some point, because it doesn't have the familiarity to win in polls like this. But it's great, I know you would love it, and I really hope you still choose to watch it! Easily my favourite horror sequel ever.
Future Boy
2022-08-23 09:53:57 +0000 UTCMany of the Hellraiser movies are classics! Fun to watch and likely great to react to :)

2022-08-23 08:33:12 +0000 UTCThere is a small Mistake in this Poll, "Stranger in the House" from 1974 is Another Title for "Black Christmas" ... And you watched Black Christmas already on the channel
Florian Meier
2022-08-23 07:24:16 +0000 UTCI must say, all of these horror movies are good and are classics. But “Child’s Play” stood out the most because it was menacingly creepy. Same thing with “Tales From The Hood” that also have the dolls story creeped me out even more!

2022-08-23 05:35:21 +0000 UTCPsycho 2 might be Anthony Perkins( Norman Bates) best performance. won't win a pole but just an awesome film

2022-08-23 05:20:01 +0000 UTCOooh, I'm with you on wanting a reaction for The Rockateer! I loved that movie as a boy. I haven't watched it for many years and would like a reason to.
Logan Kerlee
2022-08-23 05:19:28 +0000 UTCHellraiser and Child's Play are both great, though voted Hellraiser as there's some visual references that pop up in the likely winner of horror comedy. ;)
Pixie
2022-08-23 05:18:27 +0000 UTCHellraiser is a must see. That film broke new ground.
James Willingham III
2022-08-23 05:13:18 +0000 UTCLOL he really does hate dolls! It's running away with the win so far, so we'll see how that plays out! -Sam
TBR Schmitt
2022-08-23 05:05:09 +0000 UTCSam, I'm not one to exploit people's fears, but knowing that TBR is not a fan of dolls - I have to dissent & cast my full vote of confidence in CHILD'S PLAY. It was the first horror film I ever saw as an adolescent & yet while it terrified me then, it's subsequent sequels are so progressive in social issues. Finally, I cannot tell you how elated I was you covered OSCAR many weeks ago. It is a unfairly maligned comedy that harkens back to farce of the 1930s. And, yes: director John Landis was the writer/producer on 1985's CLUE. I wish you both well & thanks for hearing me out. P.S. still pulling for 1991's THE ROCKETEER on a future Adventure poll as a winner and 1989's THE KILLER & 1990's NIKITA as winners on a future INTERNATIONAL film poll. Cheers! 🥃

2022-08-23 05:01:07 +0000 UTCAllowing for the fact DRESSED TO KILL isn’t so much a slasher movie as a thriller, the best movies up there are PSYCHO II and CHILD’S PLAY, so I voted for those along with SLEEPAWAY CAMP, which is a must-see, even if it’s only once. Another really good slasher movie not in the poll is SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE, which is both a traditional slasher and a smart parody of them. SLEEPAWAY CAMP has some of those elements too, actually.
