When does Dracula land? 🦇

Grand Moff Slackin'

And after The Conversation, I suggest Gene Hackman's Enemy of the State, 1998. It's considered the perfect follow up/sequel because even though it's not explicit that he's the same character, the role he plays could very well be the same guy years after the events of The Conversation.

Gerald Corona

I want them to do a Cage seriesd so bad, Raising Arizona, Vampires Kiss, Leaving Las Vegas..so many great films that are completely different from each other in his filmography

Ken Veader

PS when are they gonna watch your namesake film JJ? 😀

Michael Soukup

The Conversation is an amazing film!!!

Michael Soukup

Some random recommendations. I just finished watching Charmed again, and I started watching Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman. Nice to see the whole show is on Amazon Prime. Dr Quinn is a really great one to watch, because the Pilot is such that it doubles as a movie. So you can watch the pilot as a movie by itself and then decide if you want to watch the series, which I'm pretty certain that Sam will love it, and there's enough action in it that I think Daniel will love it too. I figure a lot of people have heard of it but it's been a while.. It's a Western that depicts quite a many historical events mostly having to do with the Cheyenne tribe of Native Americans. I think you guys have watched Dances With Wolves? or at least it's on the list? If you've watched that I mean you have to give this a shot. DWW bored the living heck out of me LOL. Other suggestions: OG Charmed, North and South-- a 3 book series about the two families during the Civil War. Really really good. While Dr Quinn is about life in the West before, during and after the war, North and South is about life in the East (US) before, during and after the war. N&S is most comparable to Gone With The Wind, though not as widely known.

Alex

Haha yeah there’s literally one. This is one of those movie where when they see it they’re gonna wonder why the hell they hadn’t heard about it sooner.

Jarrod Hornbeck

I came across someone who reacted to it. I just typed Blow Out reaction on youtube. She only has 8k subscribers though. Wouldn't be surprised if Shan Watches Movies does it at some point.

Birdie Num Num

Yeah, they’d be the only ones doing it bc literally no other reaction channels have found it. No context, no spoilers, all new to them. What a treat that would be.

Jarrod Hornbeck

Yeah Ive definitely been championing them watching Blow Out

Ken Veader

I know it would never win a poll, but you should consider Coppola's The Conversation. It is considered one of his most essential films among critics(much more so than Dracula)

Birdie Num Num

For me, this week is the perfect selection of TV shows and Movies

Guston Zimasheen

Don't forget The Man Who Would be King, and The Wind and the Lion

Smooticus

Once again two really good movies. The Rock is pure bombastic fun, and Dracula is on my 31 days of Halloween movie list I watch every October

Smooticus

Fun movie

Smooticus

The Rock finally

Richard Flanagan

My fave Nic Cage films other than The Rock Matchstick Men (2003) Knowing (2009) It Could Happen to You (1994) Trapped in Paradise (1994) City of Angels (1998) Bringing Out The Dead (1999 Directrd by SCORSESE) The Family Man (2000) A good Sean Connery film... Finding Forrester (2000) ❤️

Jonathan Patrick

Would love to see you guys do a De Palma deep dive that starts with “Blow Out” (1981). Stylistically and technically, one of the best directors of the 70s and 80s. Follow it up with “Dressed to Kill,” “Body Double,” “Sisters,” and “Carrie.” Not only will you enjoy them, no doubt, but you’d really be in elusive company, as most YouTube reaction channels are sticking to more obvious choices. Bram Stoker’s Dracula is a pretty good movie, and the Rock is fun, but I’m not super enthused with the things being chosen. I think diving deeper into chosen directors’ catalogues could really set your channel apart, in addition to the fact that you’re both charismatic and thoughtful.

Jarrod Hornbeck

Lmao

Alex

I've been waiting for a reaction to Coppola's Dracula ever since I got into watching movie reactions. I'm stoked! Please put "Mary Shelly's Frankenstein" (1994) on your Robert De Niro list. He plays the Monster. It would be good for the October "Spooky Season". Or... whenever you choose.

Mr. Writhms

Creepy Ghoulish Intrigue? There's heaps! ;)

Aaron Barlow

It's good I agree. I still think Dracula untold is enormously underrated.

Aaron Barlow

Coppola’s Dracula is a fuhkkin’ trip, especially once you realize there’s not a drop of CGI in it.

Jason Chirevas

THE ROCK? Oh, man. I remember someone asked if I ever cry at movies. I always say, "Not at the obvious parts." But I always get choked up when Goodspeed flashes his badge at Jade when Mason is trying to have a conversation with her. It snuck up on me. That gets me every time. And DRACULA? I actually really like that movie. There are some moments where I kind of wince at the acting, but overall, I really dug it.

Philip Davetas

Dracula the bran stocker...that's definitely something that needs to happen

mikethemotormouth

I can't wait for The Rock. "Losers always whine about their best..."

Timothy Burrows

The Rock is such a solid action flick. Really looking forward to it!

Ricardo Alanis

The Prom Queen? What you want me to do? Kill him again ? I could go on, there are so many funny lines in this movie ^^

24fps_

Do you mean like at the supermarket? They're bran stockers too. jk. Yeah I completely agree with you about Dracula.

Guston Zimasheen

Bran Stokkers Dracula possibly the best rendition of Dracula.

Alex

Very excited for The Rock! That was a great era for action films. The Rock has probably the single greatest line in all of movies!

David Crabtree

Oh no, I hate The Rock. I know that I'm in the minority there. I couldn't stand the style when it came out in 1996. Dracula, on the other hand, I am very down with. Hope you two enjoy that one, at least!

Scott Greene

Dracula! Great musical score and costumes.

Michael Soukup

Dracula is one my favs!!! Looking forward to watching that one with TBR

Chris Bruneau

The Rock is a lot of fun. Dracula is really good, but the scariest part is Keanu Reeves attempting a British accent.

Jeffrey Miller

welcome to the rock

christopher brown

I smell what The Rock is cookin'.

Mark M

keep an eye out for MICHAEL BIEHN in The Rock

Byron Easley

As much as I enjoy The Rock, the real highlight of this week is undoubtedly Gary Oldman in Dracula

mikethemotormouth

Sean Connery is the highlight of another great week!

Future Boy

"Open Water" opened on August 20, 2004. a tragic tale
